Both doors have a beautiful arrangement of 10, true-divided, beveled glass lites. The doors were previously used as a"swinging doors. which meant that they had spring-loaded, pivot hinges installed in their bottom corners, and swung both forward and backward like a saloon style door. The doors no longer have their pivot hinges or push ... moreplates. However, just because they were used as a swinging doors, doesn't mean that you have to. We could cut off the rounded sides and trim the doors to 26"W, or we could cut and then add to the sides to widen to 28" or wider. We could also cut the height of the door to just above of the area where the hinge was installed(which would make each door 82 1/2" Or if you need the height or need it taller, we could plug the mortised area and even add to it. Antique Vintage Embroidery Primitive Decorative Arts Wood Door Stop
Up for sale is a vintage antique primitive folk art hand made door stop recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition and is made of wood, with an embroidered textile front. Piping material helps hold this to the wood. The wood is wedge shaped to hold the door in place. This piping is loose and should be re-glued. Please see photo#4 for details. The only other condition issue to discuss is that one of the sides is pushed in. It still holds this piece securely in place. Please see photo#3 for details. The textile is floral decorated. It could benefit from a good cleaning. The woodenware wedge is joined with a dove-tail finger joint construction. It is quite heavy and is probably weighted. Penn Antique Restoration. 31.5"x80"x1.75" Antique French Swinging Door w/15 True-Divided Lites. Fantastic. Antique. Swinging door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, Douglas Fir or pine, and is painted on both sides. It has a lovely arrangement of 15, true-divided, glass lites. The door was previously used as a"swinging door. which means that it had a spring-loaded, pivot hinge installed in it's bottom corner, and swung both forward and backward like a saloon style door. The door no longer has it's pivot hinge or push plates. However, just because it was used as a swinging door, doesn't mean that you have to. We could cut off the rounded sides and trim the door to 30"W, or we could cut and then add to the sides to widen it to 32" or wider. We could also cut the ... moreheight of the door to just above of the area where the hinge was installed(which would make the door 78 5/8" Or if you need the height or need it taller, we could plug the mortised area and even add to it. Look at the last photos of another door that we modified as an example. Condition: A thin piece of wood broke off of one of the corners. Don’t know what Wood Carved Architectural Wood Carvings was originally used for. Maybe in a window or door frame. It’s a matching set of two each measuring 25” by 27 1/2” by 2 1/2” deep. One has a brass rod its back to hang fabric curtains and on one the rod is missing, it could be replaces. They appear to be carved out of mahogany wood. Each has hinges for easy installation and they can swivel away from the wall. Because of age, they are some minor knicks and scratches, but over all in great shape. Beautiful. Ornate design!

The door is made of solid pine and has a Victorian style arrangement of 4 raised panels on both sides. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time.
