It looks like the person before me was trying to clean them up, one is in its totally original state, the other has been lightly cleaned, the most obvious evidence of this is in the fourth photo, they really shined up that part, then got some white paint on it, this is the only area of any sort of issue, I think the paint can be removed easily enough- The metal is a silver pewter sort of color. With lightly painted details- The light bulbs would hand on the underside. This needs to be re-wired, I have photographed the original cloth covered wires- The part where you screw in the light bulbs looks really good. Copper parts and it looks like maybe these have been replaced, but not sure they look really clean inside- you will need 2 screws to re-connect the part where it attaches to the ceiling on one of them- each chandelier measures 17" across. 22" hanging- PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. This listing is for the a vintage. Circa 1920's"school house" light fixture made by Red Spot. This is for the entire fixture; globe and fitter. The fitter is copper and has the original porcelain socket. The fabric covered wire has been replaced with new plastic coated wire This measures overall approximately 10 3/4" from the very top side of the canopy that fits against the ceiling to the bottom of the globe. The main body of the canopy measures approximately 6" across where it contacts the ceiling and is 5 1/4" high. The fitter measures just over 4" across on the inside diameter. The distance between the two holes for the screws that attach the fixture the ceiling is 5 1/2" Fixtures of this age require an adaptor. Available from Lowes or an electrical supply store, to attach to a modern electrical ... moreceiling box. You'll need to provide your own screws. The globe is slightly less than 10" in diameter. This is in good condition: no damage. No breaks, no cracks, and no reapairs to the metal pieces. There are some small areas on the copper that are tarnished. This fixture was installed in the library of a huge“1898” Queen Anne style summer home located in Harbor Springs. Michigan. Most of this home still relied on the original“knob and tube” wiring for its electrical power. The first floor ceilings of this home were 11' high. A few of the ceiling fixtures were controlled by pull chain switches due to the lack of wall switches. This fixture was originally equipped with a pull chain switch. Photo#10 shows the hole where the switch was installed. This ornate fixture has great detailing and is in very good condition. A single porcelain wall sconce with a milk glass shade. The socket was tested and it does work. The light is easy to disassemble for easy wiring. The socket has screw terminals. The part that goes against the wall is apr. 5 3/8 inch in diameter. To the very front edge of the shade the light will extend out from the wall apr. 9 inches. The light accepts shades with a 2/4 inch fitter. There is areas of paint on the edge that was against the wall. The pictures should show the rest. The flared cast-iron lamp ... morehousing is marked with a"158" and"B" This fixture utilizes a mogul-sized socket.and I'm including an early Arrow mogul-t o-standard adapter. I tested this on the original cloth wiring and it's all still working. Please be aware that there's many electrical connections on this piece. Which all have quite a bit of oxidation.so for best resu l ts. All the contacts should be disassembled and cleaned. It's very cool how the mogul socket suspends from the bolts which protrude through the top and connect to the main wiring. The fixture is in good original condition with no repairs. No cracks or chips on the insulators. The flared cast- iron housing has two protruding hooks. Which I assume are for the cage. Both are fully intact with no repairs. Vintage- Mid-Century Modern- Retro-Atomic-Geometric-Glass- Ceiling light Fixture
Here is a nice Vintage Mid-century Modern era ceiling light fixture. It has a retro style with geometric type of a pattern on glass shade or cover. The pattern is sorta diamond shapes with jagged or feather looking outer edges and the glass is frosted with dotted or dots in the pattern similar to rain droplets. The ceiling mount is a white metal with 2-sockets for 60 watt bulbs. It has a Union made sticker and Underwriters laboratory sticker. The metal shows some age and a tiny bit of light rusty speckels mainly in one spot. The glass is in very nice condition, theres 1 ever so tiny chip on inside outer edge but nothing on outer edge and there are no cracks. Glass measures 16 5/8" across center and is approx. 3 1/4" deep.

Offered is 1 Vintage Hobnail ceiling light fixture. I have 2 more in my other auctions while they last. I would think they are Mid-century 60's or maybe 70's. They have a saucer shape, inside where bulbs are is a clear glass and outside is frosted white but the tops of hobnails are clear, it has a 3-bulb socket and mounting part is in a brass colored metal with a brass colored disc that holds on shade. The shade measures 15 1/2" across center. Shade is in nice condition with no chips or cracks. Some very small minor scratches on frosted area and the metal has a few light scratches and some slight dark or discolored areas. Nothing major at all, just normal things for its vintage age. VINTAGE/ANTIQUE~ ART DECO/NOUVEAU W/ (5) GLASS SLIP SHADE CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE
This is a wonderful example of some of our earliest American antique lighting. The five glass shades are frosted in a creamy white color with an"angel wing" and dogwood flower design. The chandelier frame is cast metal and with some polishing. Will be lovely. It needs to be rewired and one of the slip shades replaced too and I do have a source for it that lists the cost at $95.00. Plus shipping. The fixture came from my farmhouse in West Virginia which was built in the 1930's. I do not know where it came from originally or how old it is exactly. There are no markings on it that I can find either. I did some research and I believe this to be an" Art Deco Devon Five Slip Shade Chandelier" though. The research I found says. The Devon Series is an outstanding chandelier re-creation from one of America’s BEST Art Deco manufacturers ... moreduring the depression times. Mid-West Manufacturing of Kansas City made only the best. Even during the worst economic times in America. Even in the bad times, there are still folks who are clever and make money. Mid-West catered to them. Here is the most outstanding. Top-of-the-line fixture of the Devon Group, made circa 1934, having five shades. The slip shades were made with a strap to help hold them in position, so they would not pop out too easily. The fixture was most likely cast by the lost wax casting process. The chandelier would be suitable for many home or business decorative styles such as Art Deco certainly. But Art Nouveau and perhaps Craftsman as well. The use of semi indirect light makes for subtle, warm lighting. The shades slip into place for easy cleaning. There is a turn switch on the bottom. Up for auction is a LARGE VINTAGE CROUSE-HINDS EXPLOSION PROOF LIGHT FIXTURE. The fixture is in excellent condition but is being sold as is. We have not tested this fixture. All electrical fixtures should be tested by a qualified and or licensed electrician. This is a fairly large and heavy industrial fixture. The globe is a CROUSE-HINDS V 200. The fixture is approximately 10-3/4" tall. It needs a base gasket but that's normal for industrial lighting of this age. The cork gasket that rests between the socket and the base of the fixture is dried out. Cracking and may need to be replaced. Any gasket material the same thickness will do. Vintage GE Ceramic Industrial Light Fixture/ Perfect For Steampunk Lighting
A very unique GE industrial type light fixture. Not sure of how or what it was used for. Would be great to use alone or for that industrial Steampunk light your building. I believe the cord is original and would recommend replacing. I have not tested this device. The green enamel socket measures 2 3/4" diameter and 3" long.
