Pr. Antique Amethyst/Clear Glass Entry Doors From Boston Brownstone Redo Vintage
Listing this evening a fantastic entranceway double door with one awesome original amethyst glass panel and one clear glass panel removed from a Back Bay of Boston Brownstone building back in the 1970's and stored ever since. For those of you unfamiliar with this type of door system. The door on the left is usually opened to gain entry. The door on the right is generally held closed with latches on the top and bottom and not opened except to bring in large pieces of furniture or other large items. The condition is excellent for doors of this age. The original brass mail slot disappeared when it was removed from the building. The doors are 83 1/4" tall and 1 3/4" thick. In the pictures it appears that one door is taller than the other but that is not the case. They are an original matched pair, I just couldn't get them to ... morestand up correctly in the snow. The door on the left is 27 3/4" wide and the door on the right is 28" wide. If you are restoring an old house these might be just the items to make a grand entranceway. The outside is a dark gray with great panels and the interior is peeling white over original varnish) The original dark amethyst privacy panel is approximately 14 1/2" x 39 1/2" and has a pebbly surface. NOTE: After listing the doors for sale I discovered a 1 1/2" crack on the side of the amethyst glass panel when I was doing a final cleaning.the glass is very old and grainy with many lines so the crack isn't obvious until you inspect it very carefully. Please view photo#4 for a picture of the crack. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. These two old sliding fire doors where found in a factory/warehouse brick building in Baltimore's Little Italy(Maryland) The building housed several manufacturing companies in the 20th century since the very early 1900's. Such as oyster shucking plant, lumber, brewery and lamp factory as the last one in the 1980's. They measure 2 3/4" thickness) x 38" width) x 76' 79" length) The top is angled. Weight approx. 300 lbs. each door. Unfortunately only one hanging bracket is available and still attached to one door. They are made of solid wood covered with metal sheeting and could be used as a decorative element or interior door without actual fire code requirements. Good conditions. Vintage ornate Victorian door hardware floor bolt lock for 2 doors
This ornate Victorian floor bolt was designed to secure a pair of double doors at the bottom. A corresponding piece of hardware with a pull chain would have secured the doors at the top. This bolt is 5- 7/8" long. 2 inches wide, and 3/4" thick(1- 1/8" from the back to the front tip of the top plate) To engage the bolt, you step on the top plate. To release it, you kick the button with your toe. A fair amount of the original black finish remains. Where the finish is gone. There is some rust. The mechanism is in good working order, and the spring is strong. There would have been a metal plate mortised into the floor with a rectangular hole to receive the bolt. We do not have that part. This bolt has a nicely detailed and fairly high relief floral pattern. If you have any questions. Please ask.

I believe. Contact paper has been placed inside on the display area and it has held up fairly well over the years. The amount of space that you will have to display your items is approximately: 12" in height& 58" wide& 18-1/2" front to back(this is measuring the inside of the case) The top that sits on the wood measures 12-1/4" tall. There are 2 sliding"top" back doors and they slide easily. Beneath the top doors is storage and there is onlye 1 stationary door. The other is missing. Vintage Country French(i.e. French Country) 2 Part Desk/Writing Desk cir. 1950's/1960's. This unique desk has a beautiful design with curved carvings. Unique hardware, and lots of storage. The off-white/eggshell finish has crackled over time especially on the writing surfaces and leather pullout giving it a great vintage aesthetic. The upper portion has a shelf on top. And 2 open compartments on each side with 3 adjustable shelves. The center compartment has a mirrored back with 2 wire doors and ornate pulls. Below are 5 drawers in various sizes(dovetail construction) with painted interiors in a Tiffany Blue like color and round metal pulls. This top part easily and securely connects to the lower part of the desk. The writing surface has a painted leather pull-out in the center measuring 23"L x 20"W fully extended. With ... morea textured pattern framing the leather portion. The desk has a beautifully carved knee-hole cut out for a chair and 5 drawers with identical ornate metal pulls. The cash crunch is on and such is the life of an entrepreneur when he must thin the herd- even one as choice as this- to make ends meet. If you've come as far as reading to this point you'll know what you are looking at. The bottom line is that my vintage Eko 995 bass manufactured in Italy in the mid-1960's after Paul McCartney played his Hofner violin shaped bass will now be sold to an appreciative eBayer in exchange for $$. I've tried to hold on as long as I can but the truth is that I very seldom play bass and right now. My instrument collection cannot be a museum of precious instruments when there are bills to pay. I am struggling to keep my guitars(down from 15 to 4) and while this bass is more collectible than 2 of those guitars, I am just not using it as much. Horrible, I know. The way I sell is by stating right up ... morefront what's wrong first and while I am NOT an aficionado. It appears that there is a clamp that should extend from the pick-guard to the lower side that is missing as evidenced by two super small screw holes on the lower side. Other than that, she's all original to the best of my knowledge.like I said I am not an aficionado. Please take a look at the photos and you'll see the dings which number so few you'd think the guitar is near new and hardly used when only the latter applies. There is one crack on the front that has not grown nor affected the sound at all. I've tried to cover it all here. As for this instruments virtues. It's a bad-ass player in the first degree and sounds amazing both when I amplify it and when I've direct miked it and mixed the sounds. Even acoustically it has mojo and has been a great living room player while the kids finish their homework. While I gigged with it only two times back in 2007, It's really been a homebody enjoying the comforts of my smoke-free NY home-studio space. The fact is I am a guitar player and I am embarrassed to play bass in front of my bass playing friends which is another reason I'm not crying

There are a ton of pieces included in this lot from steam trunk latches to drawer pulls to door knob roses. The bulk of these pieces are made from brass and have a varying amount of patina. The drawer pulls have differing floral designs that are probably from the Victorian era although some have impressed serial numbers that makes me think that they are somewhat later reproductions(the pat numbers on some of the pulls dates to 1968) Condition: Used. FABULOUS PAIR VINTAGE PAIR FRENCH PROVENCIAL NIGHTSTANDS TABLES WIRE FRONT DOORS
We are pleased to offer this lovely pair of vintage nightstands/tables. The pair dates to 1981 and features superb. French Provincial details. They have ornate, cabriole legs with prominent"ball" feet. They have scalloped aprons with carved detailing. The front faces feature double doors with wire insets and delicate, brass flower pulls. The faces are flanked with fluted columns for even more interest. The pair are a gorgeous color. They have a general medium wood tone but this is achieved with a chocolate glaze over a golden wood color. There is a darker, outer finish which has a slightly(sparingly) splatter look. The finish is really nice and has a lot of depth. This is the original finish. There are no manufacturer's marks, but the tables are stamped with numbers(dated) underneath. They are in EXTREMELY nice condition with ... morevery little evidence of age/use. They are sturdy and well constructed. This is a beautiful pair! Each table/nightstand measures 22" tall. The tops are 24" square and the legs are 22.5" apart. The interior storage measures 21" wide. 20.75" deep(front to back) and 8.5" tall. Shipping via UPS with insurance provided.
