Old Vintage Glass Door Knobs This is a set of 2- or 4 doorknobs together. They're in good. Vintage condition. They are both on their"stems" One set has the door plates attatched. They are both glass. But in different patterns. The first is smooth round glass. With an inside pattern. One doorknob has silver colored hardware and a little locking lever, and the other has brass colored hardware. This is a pretty design and in good shape. The second set is in a 12 point star type of pattern. These don't have the door plates. Just the"stem" These have some paint on them- a little on the glass, but mostly on the hardware. These pieces are about 5" long. And each doorknob is about 2" in diameter. This is a set of 10 small glass knobs. Each with a screw-in threaded end, presumably for use as drawer or cupboard handles. Ideal to complete or enhance a favourite piece of furniture. Each knob measures approx 1.25 inches in diameter, about the same again in depth of the visible knob part, with the threaded section adding a further approx 0.7 inches. Condition is good. There are just a few small nibbles. None of which are obtrusive. All in all, a lovely, usable set, and nice to have 10.

And in the same pattern- the 12 points with the slightly raised centre. Two are attached together on their"stems" They have brass hardware. Which is tarnished. The doorknob on its own has very rusty hardware. There are no chips or cracks. But one doorknob has a few small dots of pink paint. These pieces are about 5" long. There are 7 glass sets that are complete with hardware and 2 brass plated sets that are marked Yale. The latch sets are not all the original ones. There are 2 that are different. The glass knobs themselves are in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks and obviously the brass has tarnished.The 2 brass plated ones are in good original condition(latch sets marked Yale) They show there age patina for sure with a few light scratches and discoloration. This is for 10 knobs. The diameter of all of the handles is 38mm. 6 have a bigger backplate than the other 4. I would estimate they are 80's. They are in good condition, they came from my house when I changed everything to chrome, a couple have a bit of paint on that needs to be scraped off. They all need to be cleaned. I'm not an expert. But I think these are all Bennington knobs. Very elaborate swirls. As shown. Comes with 3 shafts, one of which came permanently attached to a knob from the factory. Clean and buff these up and you'll have a stunning group for your needs! All are about 2 1/8 inches across. The diameter of the handle is 40mm. At the longest ovoid shape. There are a few spots of paint on some of them from where the decorator obviously didn't cover them when repainting the room they were in. I bought a large amount from a London Antique dealer, but I still have 32 left, so am selling them in lots of 8, so if you want more or less please let me know. I would estimate they are 1950's.
