These were found in an abandoned shed. Unsure of metal or age. They feel heavy. Hard to tell condition because I do not know how old they are. Looks like they can benefit from a good cleaning. Doesn't seem that any of these match, key was found near them, I am not sure if it belongs with back plate.

The 8 doorknobs on the left in the first photo are in nice condition with no chips or cracks. The two in the center have a frosted appearance. I don't know if it's damage or if they were made this way. The three on the right each have one chip. Vintage, entry door lockset made by"Yale" of Stamford, CT during the second half of the previous century. It consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 brass escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with a brass faceplate, 1 brass anti-theft collar, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, 1 steel split spindle with a setscrew for connecting the knobs, and all 12 installation screws to fasten all parts to the door. Antique Vintage Purple Sun-Kissed Door Knobs
This is aas good as it gets. Superb sun-kissed purple door knobs set. The shaft is very rusty. This piece has lots of wear. But the purple is just magnificent! Sun Kissed octagonal purple knob set. These started clear and over time changed color. I believe these to be around 1910s or before, based on the fact that most manganese was used during world war 1. This could be anywhere from the 1870's to the 1810's, 2" across the face of the knob. We ship first class within 3 days of payment. USPS. Vintage, door set made by"Yale& Towne" of Stamford, CT sometime during the first half of the previous century around the fist half of the previous century. The set consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1"Corbin" brass mortise cylinder w/2 keys, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, 1 steel split spindle with 1 setscrew and 1 securing pin to connect the knobs, and 8 installation screws to fasten the lock and plates to the door. All brass parts are solid brass, not plated iron. Although the set has a simple. Straightforward design, the elegant curves of the escutcheons add a stylish element to the aesthetic appeal of the set. Notice the lower, ... moretriangular latch of the lock. The middle section is made of a hardwood-what rare feature! At the point of salvage. All parts were painted and dirty. Since then, we've cleaned and polished all parts to the best of our ability. Considering it's age. The set is in great condition! There are some small dents around the upper screw hole of the interior escutcheon and on the faceplate of the lock, and there is a small dent in the center of one of the knobs(tough to spot) Otherwise, there are only subtle scratches and tiny nicks here and there, which are typical for hardware this old. However, there are no breaks, cracks, or gouges. About the Lock: The lock is fully reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. The mortise lock is locked by pushing the top button on the faceplate. And unlocked by either pushing the bottom button or using a key. Once locked, the door could only be opened by turning the knob on the interior side of the door, or by using the key on the exterior side of the door. This hardware was recovered during a 1984 renovation of the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago.The hotel was built in 1927 and was called the Stevens. This is the original hardware.The knobs and escutchions are solid brass and have a few dings in them but are in good condition considering age and use.There are two types of escutchions included.The bell shaped escuchion was used on the outside of the guestroom door.The button would be pressed by the maid to indicate if the lock deadbolt was thrown and the guest was still in the room Knobs are 2-1/2"in diameter. Circa 1910. Solid brass door knobs and back plates. Russell& Erwin"Alden" pattern. 10 each, enough for 5 doors. The door knobs measure 2 1/4” in diameter and 2” deep; the plates are 7 1/8” x 2 1/2” Includes only what is in the pictures, NO locks, spindles or other hardware. In overall good condition, two of the back plates have slightly'wavy' edges, see last picture. I bought these to use in my home, then decided to stay with the hardware that is original to the house.

You are bidding on a Set of 2 Vintage Bakelite Door Knobs Doorknobs. The knob measures about 2" across and about 2" front to back. This knobs are used but still in good condition. I do not see or feel any chips. Cracks or breaks. There are a couple of scratches on the back of one knob and a little paint on the back of the other(see pics# 7& 8) These would be a great addition to anyone's collection or they are ready for a project.
