But it looks to me like it needs new wiring. There is electrical tape wrapped around different areas of the wire. There is a on/off rotary switch that looks original an did work for me, but that also should likely be replaced. If you have a wall switch for the light fixture then the on/off switch on this can be eliminated or removed. The bulb socket look to be original and should be fine to use. The fixture looks to have been re painted a few times. There is no mounting screws or brackets with the lamp fixture. The shipping cost on this. Only one is needed) The condition of the fixture is vintage and shows some age and wear. There is slight pitting on one of the shade supports and some paint splatter on the base. A strong 8/10 in general appearance and very nice for being nearly 100 years old. The slip shades are in EXCELLENT condition and only show minor wear. Fantastic antique Art Deco three-light slip shade chandelier dating from the early 1900's. The fixture begins with a rope and volute detailed canopy. Coming down in a chain to a decorative squared-off loop finial. The surface of the chandelier body is adorned with floral panels flanked with ziggurat detail between each slipper shade. The slip shades feature scalloped edges and beautiful gadrooned details. The body finishes in a wonderful geometric and bellflower finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rims. Vintage Art Deco Electric Wall Light With Original Slip On Shade
You are bidding on a vintage electric wall light with shade. The cast iron part is 12 1/8 inches long. At it's widest it is 5 3/8 inches across. It shows it's age and there is a small area of light surface rust. I don't know if the switch works but it turns and snaps freely like it should. The shade is a frosted light amber and in nice shape with some small chips at the base. This is a very nice Markel(aluminum body marked M.E.P. chandelier which as been re-wired(all new wire and sockets) and repainted. New chain(27" and new"vintage-look" wire is included. The original mounting flange will be included as well. All glass is in excellent condition(no chips. Cracks, breaks or repairs) The original paint(chipped beige and gold) was stripped off and it was repainted in a very nice bronze color with gold highlights. Fluer de lis series. Cast aluminum chandelier. Each casting is stamped and retains original finish. Removed from home in Louisiana built during depression period late 1920's early 1930's. All sockets and switches are original& in"as found" condition with original wiring and all work great. The chandelier hangs on a loop finial with 11" chain to fixture surrounded by Art Deco metal framework and 5 slip shades& bottom shade. Slip shades and bottom shade have switches that allow lighting independently OR together. Pictures show notable flaws. No cracks or breaks to glass. Just the expected fleabites. Lightolier Slip Shade Light Fixture Set Rare Slipper Chandelier Sconce
A fantastic original Lightolier brand slip shade chandelier set in the rare Swag& Urn pattern c. 1920s. Set includes a 6 shade chandelier. 3 shade chandelier, 2 sconces. Both chandeliers have the original Lightolier stickers. This set came from a vintage home in the picturesque wine country of Napa Valley in Northern California. The house where these were installed was built in the 1920s. I purchased this set from the family of the original owners approximately 7 years ago and got to visit the home where they were originally installed. It was an adorable home with coved ceilings. Alcoves, built-ins and hard wood floors. The fixtures were uninstalled approximately 30 years ago and placed in storage. The chandeliers are entirely original with all original wiring still functioning. The sconces have been rewired. The frames have a polychrome ... morebronze finish and Art Nouveau styling with flower and shell design details on the frames. The custard glass shades have the Swag and Urn pattern and a lovely scalloped edge detail. Set includes: 1- 6 Shade Dining Chandelier 1- 3 Shade Entry Chandelier 6 light and 3 light chandelier shade size: 5 1/2" length. 4 3/4" depth, 4 1/4" wide 2- Sconces: 10"h x 6"w x 4 1/2"d Bonus: Including an additional single bulb hall fixture from the same home(fixture is designed to use a decorative bulb with no shade. See pic 12) Bonus: Extra sconce glass shade Condition This set is in remarkably good condition. Typically slip shades sets of this period will have lots of nicks and flea bites on the edges of the glass. Especially where the fit into the frame. I inspected all of the shades and only found two that had flea bites visible and a few small flea bites in the hidden part of the glass. A couple shades have of some stress lines in the glass that do not go all the way through. Most of the shades are perfect. Some of the original glass paint on the swag design has faded off so some have very distinct urn decoration, while others are more subtle. The three shade

Cast Bronze 6 Light Brown Tip Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier
Rare cast bronze art deco 6 light slip shade fixture from the 1930's. Body was disassembled. Cleaned, reassembled, and rewired. Retains the original bottom shade and finial. Shades are in very good condition and look great when installed and illuminated. One shade has a chip on the exterior. See images 9 and 10. One shade has a darker brown tip than the other 4. See images 3 and 4. THis shade also has a chip on the bottom near the point. See image 5. Two shades sit slightly elevated in the V shaped pocket. It has always been like this. The body could probably be filed to allow it to fully seat, but it never bothered me while hanging in my house so I left it alone. Bottom shade does have chips as well. The worst one is shown in image 7. There is a second on the opposite side that is more like a flea bite. These are from a previous owner ... moreover tightening the two bottom set screws that retain the shade. Although a finial is pictured on this chandelier it is not included because a customer stole it from the chandelier while it was hanging in my shop. I have a ton more images of this fixture I can email to anyone interested. Fixture drops 40" from the ceiling and has a width of 21" Fixture was rewired with period appropriate white cloth covered wire. Both wires are white and one has a gold tracer. Vintage Art Deco Cast Metal Wall Light Sconce Slip Shade, Bronze/Copper Finish
Gorgeous antique cast metal slip shade stye sconce fixture. Measures about 5 ½" wide by 7 ½" long. Very good condition for age. Has a lovely pattern and nice bronze/copper finish. There is a little discoloration at the bottom tip of fixture, but I was afraid to try and clean it. I believe the piece is cast iron as it is quite heavy, but it could be cast aluminum, or spelter. This is a beautiful antique wall sconce for restoration. It has original copper socket and wiring so this would need replacing. This would take a slip shade, which unfortunately was not with it when found. There is no maker name or other markings that I can see. These are quite heavy as each fixture without the glass weighs 2 pounds. Fixtures are in excellent condition. As are the shades. Nothing cracked, broken or repaired, everything original. Fixtures appear to have been painted over the years. Shades may have some normal edge roughness or very small chips where they sit into the fixture. These would be really cute for a vintage travel trailer restoration. Brings me back to my youth, trailers with real wood interiors. They are made of a heavy cast metal, and not thin stamped metal of a later era. Both are stamped Globe, on the back; and retain their original cloth covered wire, and will probably need to be rewired. The shades(which attach securely using a threaded screw thru the front) are texturized glass; and decorated with grapes, and an attractive border design. They are in good vintage condition: no stress cracks, chips or breaks. Both; have some wear and finish loss to metal, not very noticable when shade is on. The switches turn and"click" as they should; but do not match ... moreeach other. Overall measurements are approx. 8" high with shade on, 4&3/4" wide, and extends approx. 4" from wall. font color=black Three original cream shades with a satin finish outside. The shades fit on the frame and are held with"clips" photos) As this light doesn't have a loop. It didn't feel safe to hang it with the shades attached because it hung unevenly with the hook we used to photograph. However, lots of photos to form part of the description. The heavy frame is in good shape without any breaks. Needs rewiring and cleaning. We have not cleaned the frame or the shades. A bit of wall paint at top of one side and top of canopy. No dents/cracks in the canopy but a small split about 1/2" along from the set screw. The shades are in good shape without any cracks. There are a few tiny chips at the top rim(which will likely be hidden by a fixture) and at some of the bottom corners of the hexagon. All of these are minor. PLEASE REVIEW PHOTOS CAREFULLY. No cracks in the glass that we can see. Shade needs cleaned. The glass is frosted with an embossed flower-like design which becomes more apparent when lit.
