I have a nice early cast iron rim lock with catch for your consideration. Lock box manufactured by Corbin. Standard 1/4 inch drive operates latch and the secondary latch lock lever engages and disengages latch lock nicely for privacy while in room. There is no key for the deadbolt slide lock. You will have to either find one or have one made to lock the room while away. Included are a pair of old discolored porcelain doorknobs with iron necks consistent with their age. Cast iron ornate keyhole cover, cast iron rosette, and a standard 1/4 driverod. Doorknob collars are tight for reuse. Knobs have appropriate flanging for inside and outside of door. Will need a cleaning and lube for optimal use. Springs feel good for reuse and appears internal parts all look intact upon inspection. Box measures aprox 4 1/8 x 3 1/8 inches. antique Victorian ice box rim lock hinge catch ornate Eastlake hardware vintage
I have a nice set of late 1800's cast brass ice box hardware for your consideration. These have a date that looks like 1897. The latch handle are right and marked as such. Included is a catch that looks to be original but I am not sure. The hinges and catch have the same 3/8 offset and the hinges are marked 3?8 on their backs. Handle operates latch to lift for disengagement although I am also not sure if this had a spring at some point. Works nicely with gravity without one. All solid cast brass manufacture except backplate. You will have to find a key or have on made to lock your door since there is no key. BLW) Branford Lock Works Patented July 21. 1863 This is a beautiful Branford Lock Works(BLW) Rim Lock with 2 Door Knobs with brass locking parts. And was patented on July 21, 1863-for those of you who know American History, you know we were right in the middle of our Civil War on this date. This is a fine, useful piece of Americana. This locks internal parts were cleaned and lubricated. Everything is working smoothly and properly. There is still some of the original black paint on the lock. This lock is designed to easily-without taking it apart-change the lock from a left-hand door to a right-hand door. The white knobs show some yellowing, especially the one knob, which adds some more character to the set. The lock mechanism measures 5 1/8" wide. By 3 3/4" high. By 3/4" thick. antique Victorian rim lock doorknob vintage ornate door hardware Norwalk 1865
I have a nice civil war era ornate cast iron lock box with cast iron catch and doorknob for your consideration. an 1865 date appears on the box. Upon inspection appears to be in reusable condition. Although there is a small crack in one of the armatures still seems to function properly. Will need a good cleaning and lubrication for optimal use. Manufactured by the Norwalk lock co. Nice lot for the antique hardware reseller for hard to find parts and for a collection show box. Height stands 3 inches while knob sitting on face of lock box. Early solid brass latch and deadbolt slides. Patterns appear to be slightly different which would lead me to believe these were not original to each other but do show nice together and were acquired together. Add some character to your shop home or garden security needs with these old original locks. I have ... moreno keys so you will need to have one made or find one that works to lock the deadbolt while away from room. Interior latch lock lever engages and disengages lock for privacy. I have a shabby old iron rim lock with catch for your consideration. Included are a pair of period red clay black glazed doorknobs that are in good condition where collars are tight for reuse and should clean up some. Scuffing and dings consistent with their age. Doorknob rosette, keyhole cover, and standard 1/4 inch drive rod. Box measures approx. 3 x 4 inches and is in good condition with no cracks or breaks. Appears to be nicely intact upon inspection and is a reversible latch slide simply by opening box with a single screw and flipping the latch slide. Will need a key to lock room while away since original keys flat is broken off, so, will have to find one that fits or have one made if you want to lock room while away. Latch lock lever engages and disengages lock for privacy while in room. Will need a good cleaning and lube for optimal ... moreoperation. Excellent Collectible Item at a super great price Huge Lock with matching keeper as pictured Vintage HARDWARE Old Vintage or Obsolete Item Lock. Keeper and key in good Condition. We purchased a collection of hardware at an estate auction and will be listing some of them today. This grouping is a as shown. You get the items that we have shown in this listing. So bid to win. Made by Getty. This oversized brass rim lock has the matching keeper. We have included a key that works, but it takes some jiggling. you may need a better key if you are gonna use it all the time- once again, the key works, but it is not easy to use, this is not because of the locking mechanism, this is because it is really not the right key, but it sorta works. The keeper matches correctly. There is a solid knob on one side and a ring handle on the other. Cool look. The ... morebummer is that at some point in this lock's life. Someone taped it together with strapping tape and there is goo on the brass. Maybe a few scratches too- not deep, but makes it not perfect. The rim lock part is reversible for left hand or right hand doors. It measures 4-5/8" tall x 3-3/4" wide. The key and knob are lined up vertically. Inside the mechanism is marked Getty 1103 as shown in the pics. This lockset is no cheapo. it weighs 3 pounds with no packing. We strive to sell you what you want. Therefore. Reclaimed steel and brass vintage rim lock for sale, this is a rare and unusual lock a bit like the modern day Yale type latch, where the lock is operated from the outside with a key and the inside is operated by the two knobs on the lock the large knob slides sideways and operates the catch and the smaller knob slides up and down to lock the catch This would make a great addition to a front door used in conjunction with an existing lock and could be used on its own in the daytime saves locking and unlocking the door all the time.
