3 antique door knobs- 2 porcelain carmel stripe knobs and old brass decorative
The brass knob is very neat. Decorative, thick& solid, It has a push in the face of it, not a ding but a slow sloping gradual push just off center. I tried to capture it in the last photo but it is too subtle(hard to notice) The porcelain knobs are in good shape, one square hole for rod appears twisted just a bit, but no chips in this pair. Two Sets of Antique Door Knobs w Back Plates-Mortise Lock Porcelain-Wrought Iron
No Reserve and ready to sell this old box of assorted antique doorknobs and hardware that I found tucked away on top of a rafter inside of a garage that is being torn down. The bidding is for all contents inside the box which includes two sets of doorknobs. Two back plates and one copper finish cover plate that has swirls and three small flowers. The first set of knobs are black porcelain and the other set seems to be a mismatch of sorts, one knob has a scallops and a leaf motif in dark wrought iron finish which is also m agnetic. The other knob is antique brass with ribbed sides and smooth top resembling a sun or sunflower. The back plates have been cleaned; they were completely covered in thick enamel paint that had chipped off. Both have skeleton key holes. But no keys were found inside the box. Offered here is a very nice ARTS& CRAFTS STYLE BRASS ENTRY DOOR KNOB SET WITH OUTER PLATE. LOCKSET w/ DEADBOLT AND SKELETON KEY. This door knob lockset is marked on the inside"A& W CO. and it has the number 107 and 1538 stamped on the inside. The brass furnishings are very nice and heavy. The skeleton key turns the deadbolt latch in and out easily. This locket is different in that the door does not need to be mortised to receive the lockset. This style screws to the back or inside of the door. A side mounted plate(not included) received the door knob ketch and dead bolt. The brass was pitch black and has been cleaned. I am sure it could be polished up to a shiny bright brass finish should you choose to do so. The lockset looks like it fits doors that are 1 inch thick. Glass knobs measure 2 inches across. One has 1/8 inch chip on edge, nothing that takes away from the handle, I found it by feel. They both have a light yellowish tint, similar but not as dark as a canary diamond, that was very hard to photograph. I don't think it's because of age, but I am no expert. The plates measure 1 1/2 inches wide and 6 inches long. The lock set 3 1/8 x 3 1/2 inches, not including the edge cover, which measures 5 1/2 inches x 3/4 inches. Beautiful solid brass antique door knobs
REDUCED PRICE!For auction are 2 solid brass doorknobs with 2 key entry and 2 backings. All pieces are solid brass. These Door knobs are not hollow.they are solid through and through. Taken off of doors from an old estate worked on. The doorknobs have signs of wear from use over the years. One knob is 2 1/8" wide and the smaller one is 2"wide. The circular backings are both 2 1/4"wide with 3 holes for screws. Screws are not here. The key entries are 1 1/4" and 3/4" wide. There are 2. One is smaller and does not go with these knobs but the larger one does go with this set. The smaller key entry is carved and may be hard to see in photos. All pieces have signs of wear from use over the years but no chips or scratches. There are 2 small scratches. However on the larger knob see photos. Both brass door knob are not meant for keys. There is a manual lock on each side to provide locking from one side or the other. both work fine. The brass plates measure 3.75" x 4.24" Marked inside. Patented Jan 31 1899 thru Mar 21 1905" using several dates between those dates as well. This item is very heavy. Mechanism is enclosed in its own brass box.see the pics for more detail. lot of 17 -assorted unmatched vintage glass door knobs
for the most part these are in pretty good condition. Especially considering that they are vintage knobs. the two knobs with the white paper next to them spin in the brass base. a couple of the other knobs have a small chip or two and one of the knobs has some odd looking surface crazing. all in all these are very clean with very minor wear. please note that there are at least about 7 or 8 different styles here and many are not matched. however, you will find some pairs. they do have some paint on them here and there.

Antique Reading Hardware Co. art nouveau door knobs, door plate, 1
This is an antique door handle thing that has some issues. The door knobs are black and could use a cleaning. I'm guessing they are japaned metal, but I'm not sure. The brass plates are rectangular, about 5.5 inches tall and have an etched pattern that looks well before art deco in age. They have been painted, not sure what you can do about that. The door opener contraption thing is marked R.H. Co. and it works, not a locking contraption, just opens the thingy. As you can see it's an odd oval shape. The biggest problem, besides the paint is that the guard plate that goes on the edge of the door around the opening thing is completely broken. I'm not sure you can remove the rest and just put another edge plate on it. But it looks like it was etched as well. Also, one of the door handle plates has a slight bend to it, I imagine ... morethat's not a problem though. This will be more clear than the digital photo shows. The high bidder is to pay for shipping. We're in the Northwest so the further you are away the more it could cost, sorry, the postage rates have been high. We can send this UPS, but you'll have to wait a little longer as we have to go out of town to get to the nearest UPS place so we prefer USPS parcel post. We will combine auctions to save on shipping. Offered for auction is a pair of cut glass faceted small interior glass door knobs. The door knobs have a brass base which is in very good condition with no imperfections. The glass measures approximately 1 3/4" across but is hard to measure because of the facets. They are both heavy. They were probably made during the Victorian era or before. Penn Antique Restoration. 2 avail. Vintage Art Deco Door Set Glass Knobs Plate Lock Key. Lovely. Vintage lockset made around the turn of the previous century. Each set consists of 2 glass knobs, 2 stamped iron escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with 1 working key, 1 steel strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 spindle with 2 setscrews. The majority of the brass plating wore away over the years leaving the surfaces of the parts with a nice, distressed finish. At the point of salvage. All parts were painted, dirty, and unevenly tarnished(see last photo) Since then, we've removed the paint, and cleaned and polished all parts. 4 Vintage brass knobs or door handles very heavy solid brass 80's
This is for 4 knobs. The diameter of all of the handles is 38mm. There is another auction straight after this for 6 knobs that are very similar except they have a backplate that is an integral part of the knob. Whereas these 4 have a seperate backplate. I would estimate they are 80's, they are in good condition, they came from my house when I changed everything to chrome, a couple have a bit of paint on that needs to be scraped off the backplate. I am having a really good clear out after refurbishing many flats and houses over the past 20 years! So selling all my old unused handles and knobs. I will also combine postage.

Lot of 9 Vintage Drawer Pulls Knobs Cabinet Door Pulls Knobs I’m still listing some items from last week’s estate sale and auction. And I had wonderful luck at this weekend’s flea market- some really really unique items, you don’t want to miss! Be sure to check back- I have looooots of old hardware to post this week- almost all my lots in sets. What I have here is a vintage lot of 9 drawer/door knobs or pulls. They are made of either tin or steel- a magnet sticks to them(I'm guessing tin- as they are fairly light) And have a shabby worn dark silver patina. I don't think the silver was their original patina- I see what looks like either a brass or bronze finish under the silver- it's hard to tell, so please supersize and see what you think(the photos of the backs of the pulls show the brown color the best, there's more silver ... moreon the front, but you see plenty of coppery-brown color there too) I love the worn patina, and the accent of the silver agains the coppery-brown that I see, but you could easily refinish these too. Each pull measures 2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. They have a single screw hole in the back- 4 have newer screws in them- if I measure from the front of the pull, to the head of the screw- they are 1" deep. The screw holes for the knobs are 3/16" diameter- measuring inside wall to inside wall. They are all in excellent solid and sturdy condition, with the finish wear noted above, and could use a little cleaning. This is a lovely set- sorry, I dug and dug through the box, but could not find a 10th- I just have 9! Please ask if you have any questions. I have a nice reusable cast iron rim lock for your consideration. Could use a cleaning and lube with the removal of a single standard slot set screw. Driverod gear spring works latch. Marked RH Co. on box and 250 1/2 on the catch. There is no deadbolt key for the deadbolt slide however. Could be used without it with manual locking slide lever that engages and disengages locking latch. Rim lock box measuring 4 1/8 x 3 1/8 inches.
