Antique Ingraham Mantel Clock. E. Ingraham 4 Column Clock, Beautiful Restoration Up for auction is an E. Ingraham 4 pillar mantel clock that has been fully restored. This is a very stunning clock. The case has been completely disassembled and all the pieces thoroughly cleaned. This clock had HEAVY alligatoring when I received it. I have re-amalgamated the finish slightly. What remains of the alligatoring is minor and compliments the clock very well. I then waxed all components individually before reassembling it. There was a crack in the case as seen in the last photo. When the case was apart. I reinforced that crack to eliminate the threat of it widening. What you see is all the worse it will be. The bezel has been polished to a nice shine. The face plate is original, I cleaned it with mild cleaners and besides some slight fading, looks ... moregreat. The feet and the ornamantation had some plate loss to them, they have been touched up with a quality paint. The movement has been completely inspected, cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, and oiled and lubed(movement and springs) The clock has been bench tested and it keeps good time and chimes out on the half hour once and the hour per the time. Nice clock. Works well, only several minor scuffs and nicks. The front panel of glass has a small chip(in the upper left-hand area) not easily visible because the glass slides in channels in the metal sides. Please see all ten photos. Last photo shows a close-up of the chip out of the glass. This clock is from around 1983. One thing I like about this SIEKO clocks is the precision cutting in the metal pieces. Everything fits together so well. I disassembled it by removing the top 4 and bottom 4 metal screws to clean the inside of the glass, that was when I noticed the small chip missing. Light areas on the surface is from my lighting. Actual color of the finish is brighter than my photos showed. It measures approx. 8.5" wide by 8.5" high and is 3" deep. I pack/bubble wrap well. Vintage Lux Waterbury Bank Miniature Mantel Clock Art-Vertising Los Angeles
This listing is for a still bank in the form of a miniature mantel clock. There is a slot on the back and and on the bottom for depositing coins. A key which I do not have is needed to open it. The small print on the bottom of the clock dial reads. The Lux Clock Mfg. Waterbury Conn. U.S.A. The printing around the key hole reads, Art-Vertising Corp Los Angeles" The clock measures close to 7 inches long by 2 3/4 inches wide by 3 5/8 inches high. It is apparently cast from some kind of relatively heavy gray metal. It weighs close to 2 pounds 7.3 ounces. The ticking is pretty easy to hear. When I wind it. It runs. When I try to set it, the minute hand moves but the hour hand does not move. When it runs, the minute hand and the hour hand move as they should relative to each other except that the hour hand moves slightly faster than it should. ... moreOver a 12 hour period the hour hand moved about 1/2 a second on the dial further than it should have. I have timed it for 19 hours and 20 minutes with the speed setting set on as fast as it can be set. At that setting it lost about 24 minutes during the time that I timed it. The cosmetic condition is much like you see it in my photos. On my monitor the"gold" enamel is showing a bit more reddish in my photos than it actually is. You can see how a little of the enamel is worn off. The small area near the top of the clock where you can see some missing enamel also has some light scratches in the metal. My photos should give you a good idea of a few tiny dents along the edges. I have provided a closeup of one small triangular dent along the bottom edge in the front. When I look closely. I see three tiny bumps in the surface of the dial just below the center where the hands are attached. I think that is probably from when it was made. Otherwise, it is generally fine and as shown. The clock was made by the Enfield Clock Company in Great Britain. From the research that I have done into the Smith and Enfield company, it would seem that this clock was made sometime between 1934 and 1944. This clock is in fine condition, considering its age. The clock has an eight day movement and works well and keeps time. There are, of course, some wear marks on it, including silver marks where the black paint has been worn or scratched off the black face. There are also a couple of small marks on the wood finish. the biggest fault with this clock is that it is missing the glass door that is supposed to cover and protect the face of the clock. Early 1900s Seth Thomas Mantel Clock
Bidding on a nice original Seth Thomas mantel clock from the early 1900s. Includes original double ended key and pendulum. All brass movement 89. The clock runs fine and all doors open and close as they should. It is in good condition. Only minor dings. Scatches and marks. I believe it to be an all original ST clock. It has a nice original dial and hands that are in good condition. On the face are two winding holes, one each for time and half hour/hour strike. The small hole above the number 6 provides access to the time adjustment slow/fast mechanism. Clock runs and strikes fine. Keeps good time. Each half hour is announced with an elegant single gong while each hour is announced with a gong time count. The movement is stamped ST"Made in USA" and 89 J. The clock measures approximately 19 3/4" long by 9 1/2" inches high ... moreby 5 1/2 inches deep.The dial face is 5 inches in diameter. I am not a clock expert but this clock, which was handed down to me from my Dad, who got it from his mother, appears to be a great collectors item and fine piece of furnishing. American celebration of Italian renaissance was mostly seen in architecture and furniture around the 3rd quarter of the 19th c. This piece came out of a place that had 18 foot ceilings. Size: 63.25" wide x 82" high and 11" deep. This piece has been restored to glory. Work around crest with plaster repair and newer ebonizing and fine gold highlights. Original mirror in place. One tiny finial missing. But we have two replacements on hand if you would like them. This is a grand piece and is very heavy. Offered here is a fabulous antique Seth Thomas Sons& Co. shelf mantel clock. It was my dad's. Who was an expert clock repairman but passed away, so I am downsizing his collection. His clocks were all running, but have been sitting for several years so they may possibly need adjustments. It stands 19" tall, base is 8" x 18 1/2" with a 4" dial, and is a 2 wind clock. The figurines are a lady, with a dog, a deer and a bow. The Bow was taped on because it was moved. The Seth Thomas Clock Company was very prosperous into the 20th Century and was considered the"Tiffany's" of Connecticut clock manufacture, even by their competitors. Between 1865 and 1879 they operated a subsidiary firm known as Seth Thomas' Sons& Company that manufactured a high-grade 15 day mantel clock movement. Offered for sale is this very impressive German mantel clock. It was made by the Emes Clock Company likely in the third quarter of the twemtieth century but is a"dead ringer" for beautiful French gilded bronze design of the Belle Epoche era. The figural case features a seated lady and lots of fancy detail. The top of the clock is a musical lyre. It is mounted on polished marble base. The clock measures 11" high. 13" long and 5 3/4" deep. It is in very good estate condition with the only significant flaw I find the missing glass over the face. It is currently running but is not keeping time. Has been lightly used. Some oxidation on unfinished metal parts. Some minor scratches and scrapes in the enamel. No dents or dings. We don't have the original box or instructions.
