Vintage Sessions mantel clock camel back electric dark walnut case
Vintage Sessions camel back mantel clock. It has a dark walnut case and is in good condition for it's age. The cord is the original cloth covered type and needs to be replaced. I did not try to plug it in as the cord has some worn parts on it. The glass door and the face are in good condition as shown in the pictures. It is 19" long, 8 1/2" tall, and 2 3/4" deep. The face is 5 1/2" across. The clock is kind of loose in the case. Nice project and appears that it would work if the cord was repaired or replaced. Here is a nice Seth Thomas Beehive clock from the early 1900s for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself. The clock was provided as an anniversary present to an 30 year employee of the NY Telephone company. The plaque is still with the clock. I have just oiled the bushings and pinions and the clock is running. And striking inconsistently. The movement only keeps its' beat for a few minutes and then stops. So. The clock is being sold in not running condition. Probably just needs a good cleaning or a bushing or two. The movement of the clock has"80" noted on it on the left back foot. The movement has ... morethe Seth Thomas trademark on it in the the left top corner. The springs feel sound when keyed. Nice deep sound to the strike gong. The gong strikes on the half hour and strikes the hours on the hour. The movement does look pretty clean. The pendulum also looks appropriate to the clock. The wood case is fairly good shape. No cracks or splits in the wood. Very minor crazing of the finish. Some minor personality marks and loss of finish over its' years of use. Nice bezel and intact convex glass over the clock face. No cracking or blistering to the glass. The silver colored metal clock face shows some loss of the numbers most likely from polishing or sun exposure over the years. The clock will come with a winding key. Front and rear doors are both there and latch into place. The clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The clock stands 10.75" tall. First is on the very top there was something there but it looks like it was broken off. Second is on the pendulum that swings back and forth there used to be something on there also but not anymore. This would be an easy fix since you can glue any small thing onto the flat pad that is still there. It has 2 cherub/angels on the top with bows/holly/flowers/stars/snow etc. It measures just under 6" tall and is about 1 1/2" thick. It takes 1 AA battery(not included) It is solid and heavy. Yellow coloured windows at the sides of the clock through which the movement can be seen. The lines you see on the glass are not damaged. But these are decorations in the glass and they belong in the glass. The pendulum can be seen through the curved window in front. Behind the CURVED GLASS in the front door you find the brass dial. Showing the time in Roman AND Arabic numbers. The hands are also made of shiney brass. Wonderfully shaped, matching the clock perfectly. This clock has the original"WUBA" label still in the backdoor! Beautiful Well Built Antique Ingraham Mantel Clock
A very heavy and well built Ingraham with a cathedral gong. Measures 17" L X 7 1/2" D X 12"H. Cleaned up really nice with white inlay and a great bezel. It has 6 marbleized columns. The column holders were repainted bronze. Movement was taken apart cleaned and oiled. With a new count wheel put in place. Counts the hour and the 1/2 hour. This clock is sold"As Is" You may have to reset and adjust the timing on this or any spring clock. I am retired, I clean and repair old clocks as a hobby. They are all cleaned and polished without using polyurethane. I run all of my clocks for 2 weeks before listing them for auction. Precise indeed. Because this beauty runs perfectly on time for 8 days on one winding session. The KIENZLE movement is one of the highest quality and was well know for its hard metal. The movement is marked with the German Quality Mark"D.G.R.M" which was the first Quality Mark used in Germany. Of course this clock will be supplied with a key. The dial has some fading and shows its age(it may have been replaced) as you can see by the pictures. I have just cleaned(via ultrasonic cleaner) and oiled the movement with the best synthetic oil you can buy. The movement does not show much wear at all; the bushings all look great. The clock does not chime on the 1/2 hour, it chimes the number of the hours on the hour on the gong. My reasonable guess is the clock was made in the 1920's or a bit later. Bidding on a Seth Thomas Antique Mantel Clock. Time and strike 89 movement. Clock is clean and polished. Finish was redone to a factory shine. Clock keeps good time although running slightly fast(2-3 minutes a day) will adjust as time goes on, the tic-toc is on beat. This piece has been cleaned oiled and polished from top to bottom. Everything touched nothing changed. It has a deep cherry finish, the shine is not from any type of polish, what you see is what you get. Bezel and glass are in A condition, back door is A+. This is a very regal looking clock, quite stylish for an antique. The 8 day movement will need to be wound every 7 to 8 days, seven days is recommended so that the strike is not altered. It gongs once on the half hour and on the hour as many times as to represent the time. 100 years old, the clock works fine. Up for auction is a vintage Telechron model number 5 F 51 vintage mantle or shelf clock is electric it plugs in the wall and is of the famous Telechron family of clocks. This run runs solidly. Square on time and with that beautiful sweep secondhand, The wood of the the clock is in very good shape and the top section fairly glows with almost a tiger maple look,there is some crazing along the top and that is barely noticeable and are some small paint spatters but all in all for clock of this age it is in superb shape and runs exceedingly well! This is an Ansonia Clock made by the Ansonia Clock Company. The Ansonia clock company made clocks in the 19th century and the very early 20th century. Dates of manufacture range from 1850-1929. This is a brass clock that is held in place on the brass base by a screw and nut. This is a wind up clock and has the minute and second hands intact. The face of the clock has bold numbers 1 through 12 and the on the back is the wing screw that you can wind the clock with. The clock is all brass and I have not cleaned it at all. There is some age on the clock visible through the patina and there is also a small dent at the very top of the clock. The clock does not wind. I have not brought it to a clock shop to see how much it would cost to put it in working order. On the back of the clock there is an engraving that says. This is an Antique. Solid Oak, Fire Place with Mantel and Mirror. It has two cylindrical, Oak supports. It is beautiful! Very Heavy and in great condition. It's exact age is unknown to me. It has some oak tiger stripe markings in the wood, some beautiful trim around the mirror, which is in very good condition. It is approximately seven foot tall and four foot wide. I have had a few of these in my homes where I used it as a build in around a gas or electric fire place and in my opinion there isn't anything more beautiful. The joints and connecting points are tight, but may need some improvement at installation such as adjustment, tacking and or gluing. This item is in my storage unit near Mountain City, TN and must be picked up there by the winning buyer. SETH THOMAS ANTIQUE MANTEL CLOCK ALL ORIGINAL BEAUTIFUL LOOKS & RUNS GREAT!
This is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL example of a Seth Thomas Mantle Clock in wonderful HIGH QUALITY 100% ALL ORIGINAL condition. This is truly a great clock. It is a very classy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. It was made circa1910. It has a signed"Seth Thomas Clock Co" 8-day time and strike movement which chimes HOUR AND HALF HOUR with a beautiful sound on a HIGH QUALITY cathedral gong. It is a very strong runner! The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The movement was just cleaned. Oiled, pivots polished and bushings added where needed. This clock will not need servicing for many years to come. And is ready for the next 100 years! This is a labor intensive service, with many clockmakers charging 250.00 and up. We recommend having it oiled every 2 to 3 years to keep it in tip-top shape! It is movement number 89; we feel it is Seth Thomas’ finest time and strike movement ever made. Very accurate and dependable. The Seth Thomas Clock Company was started in 1820 and has been known for making high quality clocks. With this clock being no exception. The case is also very beautiful with its original finish(see picture) The case is in beautiful/near perfect condition with even the finish. I doubt if the clock has been worked on much as the screws and screw holes for the movement are tight. With no additional screw holes. The silver metal dial is all original and in very good condition! It has an adjustment for fast and slow on the dial this way you don’t need to take the clock down from its shelf to adjust it for slow and fast. It has a quality escapement and its HEAVY SETH THOMAS pendulum. Also retains the SETH THOMAS key!
