Across the background are small, raised panel squares. In the middle is an ornately carved plaque on a textured background. I have had it running for a few days and it appears to run fine and keeps time. It measures 8 1/2" tall by 23" wide by 5" deep. The Movement is labeled 66 FHS Germany and has the number 140-010. It comes with a key for winding. This is probably not the original key. But fits and works fine. The case is in very good condition for it age and doesn't have any significant damage or wear that I found. Antique Ingraham Adamantine Black 4 Pillar Mantel Clock
Up for bid is an antique Ingraham Adam Mantine black 4 pillar mantel clock. The case is finished in a black and is in good condition. Just shows little wear from age as seen in the pictures above. The glass door and bezel have excellent hinge and clasp mechanisms. The front bezel door opens fully for access to the dial for ease of setting. The glass has no cracks or scratches and is solidly set in place. There are 4 ornate pillars on the clock. Along with a gold leaf design on the front as seen in photos#1 and#6. The back door removes fully. Overall, it is a wonderful working clock. It chimes once every half hour and once for each hour as it advances through the day in a clear. Beautiful single chime on two chime rods. The clock has been cleaned, oiled and checked in my shop. It ran one full week prior to listing and will continue to run ... morein my shop until sold. Measurements are 11 1/4" tall. 6 1/2" x 14 3/4" at base not including the feet, and 4 1/2" across the inner face. Back panel opening is 8 1/2" x 9" My clock knowledge is limited and is sold completely'as is' but I'll note what I can. Key, minute hand, pendulum, back panel, face door/glass and rings in the side decorations are missing. Clock is not in working order- unknown how much or little work it would take to get it working. It must not have much swing to the pendulum because there's not much room between the pendulum arm ... moreand the dome chime. I didn't try the winders with an onhand spare key because the springs are obviously wound tight or nearly so. With no minute hand, I couldn't turn it to the hour and half to see if the clock would chime. As to appearance, clock needs a good cleaning. I don't know if a shining up would do a whole lot; the finish looks dulled and worn with various little scuffs, scratches, discolored spots, etc. so I'd think it would need refinished. The main actual defect is the large piece of missing corner going into front edge on the top front. Decorative hardware and the filigree metal part of the face is nice but no shiny finish left at all. Backing of the face with the numerals is well yellowed. Any metallic shiny finish to the pendulum is totally worn off. End of the hour hand is bent outward ... moresome and face door and glass are missing as is the key. On try-out with an onhand spare that fit, winders feel good. On starting the pendulum, clock would run only the several seconds it took for it to lose momentum. When minute hand is turned, clock will chime on the hour and'ting' on the half. Back panel is missing a couple screws at the bottom corners and so will slide right out of the grooves when clock is lifted. The round metal door has considerable finish wear but still some remaining shine. As to appearance, the light painted ring of the face where the numerals are is yellowed and has some dinginess. Some dulling of the finish on the gold metal center portion and piecrust edge. Very little gold shine left to the flame finials and center decoration but otherwise they're good. Clock needs some cleaning for nooks and crannies dust and some shining up. Some minor wear spots/scuffs here and there to the case's finish but just the bottom edge having some wear into the wood and that not bad. On the case top, there is some spotty residuel from an old sticker or label and some minor little scuffs, scratches and a couple very small edge nicks- overall, the top looks pretty good. Nice stippled designs around the face and on the front of the base, shallow chip about 1/4" long on the front bottom edge not far off center but again, a minor defect. Many boxes that I inherited, that were stored in an air conditioned storage down here in Florida, I found this beautiful, vintage from the 70's, large"Kieningber& Obergfell"~"Kundo" hexagon mantel clock which was made in West-Germany. This"Kundo" is quite heavy since the base is made of solid brass and the case cover is in solid brass with etcthed glass inserts. Condition-wise, it looks to be beautiful other than the brass which tarnishes because of aging(I myself prefer buffed and polished old solid brass because to me it looks like pure gold, but I was told in the past by a lot of Ebay buyers that on vintage brass"DO NOT POLISH THE BRASS" Etched underneath is the following: KIENINGER& OBERGFELL~MADE IN GERMANY" This"Kundo" has lots of quality with ... morecharacter. VERY CLASSY! This"Kundo" clock measures 10 1/4" at its highest, 8 1/4" at its widest, and 5 7/8 at its deepest. This"Kundo" has two brass cap screws to hold the case and glass secure, and this"Kundo" even has the three leveling screws to adjust the level. I could not get this clock to work because I have no clue on how to, it looks like it needs a square-ended key so if you get the bid, I am crossing my fingers, that with an adjustment and a key this"Kundo" may work perfectly~This I don't know that is why I am offering this"Kundo" at a low price. You are bidding on this absolute BEAUTIFUL. VERY Large, 15.6 Inch, German HERMLE clock in Multi Coloured NUT wood which has a windable schwebegang movement and WESTMINSTER chime! For a comparision of the size of this giant. I have put a"normal-sized" clock, which are sold often on Ebay, at the right side(see photo 1) Special is that there are lots of bronze decorations. And that this is the ABSOLUTE LARGEST model available in it's category! This clock has a WESTMINSTER Chime. Telling you each 15 minutes what time is is. At the 15 minute stage. It plays a 1/4 of the Westminster chime, At half hours(30 minute stage) it pays half of it, At the 45 minute stage. It plays 3/4 of the chime and On full hours it plays the complete chime being followed by a 3 hammer strike with an amount of strikes corresponding to the time at that moment. ... moreThe sound of the chime is absolutely amazing. An extra feature is that the chime can be switched on and off by a separate handle inside the clock. Right behind the backdoor. This HERMLE clock is in an absolute beautiful condition! The front door has real glass in it; on top you find a bronze carriage handle. At the higher area of the dial you find the tekst on a metal plate saying"TEMPUS FUGIT" Which stands for TIME FLIES. On the dial you find lots of bronze decorations; the dial itself is made of brass. Shining like new and with stunning carvings in the brass centre plate. The time is shown in Roman AND Arabic numbers and is divided into 60 partitions; for each minutes 1 partition. The black metal hands are nicely shaped. See the bronze features on the photo's which are richly used. The clock runs wonderfully and smoothly because of it's schwebegang movement. Which means that is does NOT need a levelled surface to keep running. An extra feature is that the ORIGINAL key is placed in a keyholder in the backdoor. So you can never loose the key! But it does not strike or chime. The three springs feel sound when keyed. The chimes and strike springs are wound tight. Comes with a winding key. The clock has a beautiful wood case. Finish on case is still there. Some minor dings to it. But no missing parts. Not sure if the rear door on the clock is original to the clock and it does appear to have a crack in the door that was glued or repaired somehow. There is no latch on the rear door. This mantel clock is such a beauty. It chimes on the hour. One chime for each hour and one chime on the half hour. It stands 20" tall and is 12" at the widest part of the base. The dainty glass window has a gold bird design and opens for access to the pendulum. The carved detail is beautiful. There is a label on the back of the clock but I can't read what it once said. Manufactured sometime during the 1920s by Seth Thomas 8 day Key Wind Clock with chime gong We are pretty sure it is a Alto Model with Adamantine finish developed by Seth Thomas. Similar to Bakelite This is the darker Red Finish- Similar to Rosewood in color and grain Chimes on the hour and half-hour Pay close attention to the photos provided This clock was recently acquired at a local estate ... moresale The adamantine exterior finish has some light surface wear The top of the body has a dull look to the finish and one spot that looks like a white paint mark that may have gotten on the clock and whomever attempted to clean it. Dulled the finish by not using a proper cleaning product The front of the clock looks good with a shine to the finish The only flaw when looking at the front is a missing small piece of the moulding that separates the round top of the clock and the angled left/right sides. Located on the right side The rear and underside are not smooth finished The manufacturer sticker is missing from the underside. We are pretty sure it is a Sentinel Style but unsure of exact# The movement is an 89AL We has to adjust the top of the catch on the escapement and on a level surface it has smooth for a few days Key and pendullum included Once again. You are looking at a beautiful vintage Jaeger LeCoultre"Atmos" 15 jewel perpetual motion brass mantle/shelf clock. The clock measures 8 3/4" x 6 3/8" x 4 3/4" The top of the movement is marked. LeCoultre. Atmos, 78649" dating the clock to the 1950's. The front of the movement is marked, Fifteen 15 Jewels, LeCoultre Cie. Atmos, Switzerland, Unadjusted" The bottom of the case is marked, LeCoultre& Cie. Metal, Caliber 526-5" The lacquer on the brass has darkened some with age. This is most noticeable on the bottom of the door. Where some of the lacquer has peeled. There are several tiny scratches between 6 and 7 o'clock on the dial and a few other tiny scratches around the dial, but overall the dial is in excellent condition. I did unlock the pendulum and the clock ran all day, a minute or ... moretwo slow but I did not level the clock for optimum performance. All the glass is intact and free from scratches, chips and cracks, however the glass could use cleaned on the inside. On the bottom of the clock there seems to be the markings for service having been performed in 1980. Antique French Mantel Clock Circa 1800-1820 As is for Restoration!!!!
I do not speak CLOCK. My mother in law brought this to the US in 1946(English war bride) How long it was in her family I do not know. She gave it to us in 1984 and has worked fine and then we boxed it in 2006. I hope the pictures tell the story but from what I see. It is made of mahogany with metal inlaid and metal applied to the surface with small nails. Brass I assume. All of the cast metal pieces are there. I took it to a local antique clock guy and he said the movement is very old and unique with the thread. Gargoyle on the top and cut into the brass overlay. I am selling as a restoration project but I bet it would run with a little help. We have the key but as of now can not find it. Antique Mantel Clock Art Nouveau Handmade Wood Original Turn of Century
This is a hand-carved wooden grandfather mantel clock circa early 1900's with brass movements. I believe this clock is oak. This clock needs work to keep time-looks like all the movements are there including the dramatic brass pendulum. The floral carving and handiwork is remarkable and was hand-set in sectioned-will need some restoration. No damage otherwise. I have provided photos from all angles. This clock measures 23 inches tall and is 14 inches wide. It is a beautiful piece of clockwork. No reserve. Shipping within the US is USPS priority mail insured. Sessions Wind up Clock enamel face inlay design dome steeple mantel shelf desk
Being offered is a really nice shelf mantel or even a desk top clock. It is not running. The previous owner had it checked out and was told it needed new bushings. IT has the key. Pendulum and the chime works on the hour and dings on the half hour. Door and glass is good, it does have a small dent above the 10. Little nick out of very top. Enamel face is in great shape. This stands about 14 1/4 tall, 8 3/4 wide and 5 1/4 deep. I believe the wood might be mahogany but not sure. I know it just looks like a great piece.

This clock is BEAUTIFUL and works great. The alarm works. It keeps accurate time, no chips or cracks. It is blue and white, has a Blue Jay perched on a branch with flowers and leaves. He has gold accents which are in mint shape and show no wear. The clock measures about 7 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide and is about 3 inches deep. The clock has it's original box and the instructions on how to wind and set the clock. I did not find a date on it anywhere. Check the pictures it is minty! Questions, please ask. Antique New Haven Black Mantel Clock Metal(Heavy) case part. Case includes a dial that is marked"Made by the New Haven Clock Company. The bezel dial shuts and holds properly. The case is heavy and weighs 16 pounds. The winding arbor to winding arbor hole positions on the dial are 2.5" and the center post to winding arbor dimension is 1.5" The case overall dimensions are 10.25" tall by 15.5" wide by 6.75" deep. Overall. I think the case is in original condition and good for a 100 old item, but check photos closely for some marks of time. What you see pictured is what is for auction.
