Goldtone metal accents and columns flanking the face. Face is quite ornate. And measures approx.5 1/2" in diameter. Glass window over face is intact. Clock measures approximately 15"x11"x6" Back of clock has a paper label identifying it as a No. 900, eight-day, half-hour strike, cathedral gong, turn back clock made by The Sessions Clock Co. There is also a newer label on the back which provides a history of the clock and dates it to c.1910. Clock case is in good shape for its age. With some scuffs and scratches due to normal use. Vintage Antique Lackner Neon Glo Mantel Clock Nassau Model Clock Works
Lackner Neon"Glo" Electric Mantle Clock Great working condition. With a fabulous Art Deco base with original rounded glass on the clock face. One of the two"sides, etched glass sail panes, has a small chip missing from the glass(see photo) however it is not visible when the glass is properly placed. The glass pieces are supposed to have curved inside rims. I think this is the"Nassau" model. There is no label on the bottom, just the plaque on the back. The clock runs fine. With an on/off power switch on the rear of the case. The glass side panels radiate the green glow. I replaced the original frayed cord with another one, vintage" but solid. What is not present- the original neon or replacement neon. The clock was missing the circular green neon"glo" light tube. I have replaced it with 3 feet of green ... moreLED tubing. Controlled by another on-off switch in the back. The effect is similar, but not as bright. And my camera does not take a good picture without a flash. All I can say is that the clock runs well, but if you want to see the effect of the green neon, it will have to be in the evening, or with the lights off in the daytime. The"green glo" effect might be strengthened by a longer length of LED tubing, say 6 feet instead of 3. I have ordered two shades of green from China, but they take a month to arrive. Of course, if you are familiar with neon lighting, you could make your own real neon, which would be more true to the original clock concept. There are some hairline cracks in the case. That seem to have been glued back together. They are noticeable if you look closely, but can be cleaned up, and overall the clock looks good. Marked on the back"LACKNER" Neon-Glo Clock. Ebonized Mantel Shelf Clock Pineapple Finials Gilted Gold
Offered here is a beautiful ebonized mantel shelf clock with gold colored pineapple finials. This clock case resembles a Stephen Rimbault musical case from the 1780's from London. Could not find a maker on the clock or the movement. It is a two wind clock. And has gorgeous gilted gold painted wood surrounding the face, and edges surrounding the face, and the trim on the outside edges of the glass on the door. Brass finials are below the face, and there are 4 elegant brass lions feet. There is a pendulum and a key. The inserts are red material that can be replaced with another color. Contact us for accurate shipping charges Thank you ITEM DESCRIPTION This is a very rare original clock case. The case was made by P. H. Mourey circa 1866. It is appropriately signed P H Mourey 66. Mourey was a French sculptor well known for his elaborate designs for clock cases. The case stands on its original. Wooden plinth. It is 147 years old! The case measures 13” wide. 7.75” tall and 5” deep. The opening for the clock face is 3 9/16” wide and the distance from the front opening to the back(outside measurement) is 4 5/16” We have noticed one small spot on the left garland where a hardly noticable repair had been made(see picture) The finial appears to be missing. The gilding has an excellent patina consistent with age. The movement is in working ... morecondition and is marked with a numbers 2993 4 6. We have no pendulum to check the accuracy of the movement. The minute hand needs replacement. It appears that the movement is not the original one. It fit’s the opening but it is not attached to the back opening securely. The key and the back ring is included. The matching plinth is made of wood and it is an original one. It appears that the plinth had some restoration done in the past. The original fabric is worn and faded. Despite of one leg missing the plinth is stable and in very good condition considering its age. The clock is weighing over 10 lb. Before paying for it. Early Antique 1800's MANTEL CLOCK 22 1/2" TALL Mahogany with Gold Trim
Early mantel clock. The clock is impressive and stands 22 1/2" tall x 13 3/4" wide x 5" deep. Just look at the early case construction with hand chiseling marks and a hand chamfered backboard. Early hardware holding the backboard, very early brass door, etc. The case is mahogany veneer with gold trim ornaments. The side glass appears to have been replaced in it's history. The movement is not marked and is an 8 day time and strike movement. The strike spring is smaller in width than the time spring.also seen in earlier clocks. This movement has been disassembled, cleaned, bushed in about 4 places, oiled and set to time. It runs excellent! The dial is a 7" porcelain dial with a signature(unreadable) on the back of it. A United Metal Goods sticker is on the back. It seems to keep accurate time for the hour I plugged it in. Second hand also works fine. It is a fabulous piece of hand carved wood folk art in the functional form of a clock, and it is old. I'm calling it a mantel clock in my listing, but there's a metal tab at the back affixed so that it can hang on the wall too. Made of solid wood, this beauty has an age darkened patina that is quite dark. The clock frame appears to be brass, and the cover is hinged in order to open to wind and access the hands of the clock. The cover has old convex glass that is in excellent condition. It's clear- ... morewhat you see in my photos on the glass is reflection. I can't tell if the face of the clock is white, turned almost grey from age- or if it's grey. I'd descrive it as white with a slight grey hue. I'm not totally sure, but I think the numbers of the clock are hand painted- see what you think. They are black to match the black of the hands. I do not know the maker of the mechanisms- I can't find a mark, so I've taken some close ups for you. What I also don't know is if the clock works- I only own one clock key for one of my own clocks and it didn't fit in the two holes in the face- so please know I do not know if it works, and it may not. I'm showing in photo 15 the mechanism inside, that includes a metal pole that goes down through the base, and is bolted on the underside(as seen in photo 22) You can also see in photo 22 that there's another hole next to the one with the pole in it- was there something in there once? We have so many clocks with chimes its time to let some of them go. It looks like there is some dust specks under the concaved glass front and there are a few nicks and scratches but overall very nice condition. It measures about 7" tall. Vintage Seth Thomas 4 Jewel mantle clock in good condition. Does have Small scratches and a small dent on top. Clock runs for approx. 3 hours when wound up and stops. If shaken it will run again for approx. 2-3 three hours more. If you shake it when ever it stops as long as its wound up it will start running again. Up for auction is an adorable mantel or shelf clock. It stands 5 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" long. The face of the clock has black minute hands and a gold second hand and has black numerals. It says"Quartz" on the face. The face of the clock slides out and has a place to insert a battery. There is a cute sailor teddy bear leaning on a ship's wheel holding a toy sailboat with an anchor and buoy on one side. I listed this clock as"used" but it is clean and in like new condition. It takes a very small"N" battery which I do not have. It doesn't even look like a battery has ever been inserted. I am 99% sure that it works and keeps time with that battery. Listing is for two mantel clocks. One is a Howard Miller mechanical. And the other is a Bulova Battery lpowered. Both are being offered for repair. The howard miller is missing the hour hand but all three mainsprings wind and hold. I do not have a key for this one. The Bulova has both but the hour hand but is is loose. Both play the wesminster chimes. Both are in working order except for the things listed above. The case on the Howard Miller shows some fading and the face also shows some minor scratching.
