The motif is of scrollwork and a single flower! Function/Use: Used for support the top shelf of a mantle. Savaged from European chateau in Prague. Lot consists of two(2) corbels; they are the same motif. But oweing to their hand-carved production there is some variation in the shappe. One of the flowers is more open than the other. Structure/Composition: Made of hand carved hardwood with dark brown stain. Unstained side shows little grain ands is light honey colored. So it could be poplar or oak. Wear-and-Tear: In excellent condition. Edges to the leaves are still crisp and unworn. Removal from wall was done well; however one corbel is missing a chip on the backside and the other has a small crack on the side from their removal from the wall. The cornice ... moreis with an original ivory color paint. The column bases and capitols, and the dial frame, are ormolu bronze. The dial is engine turned metal, possibly silver, with black enamel numerals. It is in working order: tells the time, gong chimes the hours and halves. The clockworks are unmarked, probably French. It has the original ormolu brass pendulum. No key included, will accept an American key. Clock measures 18-1/2" tall by 9-1/2" wide by 5" deep. Very good condition: original finishes. Small chip to the top edge of the cornice(see photo. The base is probably missing a molding around, and the ball or bun feet.

It measures 14.25" tall, 10" wide and 6" deep; it also very heavy. The polished mahogany case features a lovely Bishop's Hat arched top. With an inlaid front pediment, supported on a pair of reeded columns that are finished in solid brass to the top and bottom. The brass framed bevelled glass front opens on a six inch silvered dial; to the top there are subsidiary'strike-silent' and'slow-fast' dials. The rear opening door is sound fretted, and covered on the inside with the original fabric. The quality of the case and decoration is of the highest order. This is a Remington multi-quartz carriage clock for the shelf or mantel. Made in West Germany. Gold-tone brass with black hands and roman numeral face. Runs on one AA battery. It was a gift, as evidenced by the brass plate on top that reads"presented to OUR FAVORITE INTERN" In good used condition with some obvious aging to the finish, but still keeps time. This is a key wound clock movement unlike the less expensive modern battery operated movements. Case and metal clock dial black serpentine hands are in good condition only a few very miner dings on the case. Dial has a very distinctive piano key logo on it. Movement is marked Baldwin- is in good condition and keeps good time. It features an adjustment screw for speeding up or slowing down the movement. On the hour. It strikes out the lovely Westminster melody and the hours on five tuned chime rods, on the hour. It strikes out a partial melody. Progressively on the quarter-hours following the traditional Westminster melody sequence. It features a chime silencer switch on the dial so you can silence the chime. The clocks were well received because of Baldwin's brand name recognition and reputation for quality. Hermle movements are extremely fine German movements. It is a“floating balance movement” which frees you from having to level the case to balance the movement unlike pendulum movements. Because of its rarity it is hard to evaluate the value of this clock. The case work is very fine. So the best way to evaluate what a Baldwin clock is worth. A very nice mahogany wooden table mantle clock from about 1960. It is a very nice model. In the shape of the hat of Napoleon. The clock is made by Hermle. A famous clockmaker of Germany. The back of the hourwork is stamped with the original stamp of Hermle. The hourwork has also the stamp Hermle at the front. The clock chimes a very beatiful Westminster chime every 15 minutes. The size of the clock is about: 20 inch width and 8 inch high. It is a unique clock that has a bowl shaped glass. The clockwork is checked and oiled. Done by a clockmaker. It works perfectly. Engraved dial. As you can see on the pictures of this beautiful shaped clock. The whole of the outside is in good condition with a small dent to the front right edge, visible in the pictures below.

Antique French Figural Mantel Clock- Bronze Plato on Black Slate & Green Marble
Antique French Figural Mantel Clock Up for bidding is this antique French figural mantel clock from the mid 1800's(1853 to be exact) This clock was purchased over 20 years ago from a large estate in upstate New York and has been sealed in a crate every since. Just had no place to put it and it is too striking a piece to keep crated. The clock was made by A. Raysall in Lagarde which is located in Montauban. A region in France, and is marked on the back: A. Rayssal 1853 Montauban. The clock case has a bronzed spelter figural of a reclined Plato holding a scroll which reads"Oui l'ame est immortelle" which is from Plato's The Republic and translates as"Yes the soul is immortal" The base of the clock is made of hand cut slate and marble tiles attached to an interior mortar base. Overall the condition of the clock ... moreis very good considering it's age. There are few damages worth noting. Primarily a crack in the slate on the top of the base that extends the entire width of the tile(see pics 8& 9) Also there are some minor chips on the around the base and some light scratches on the bronze figure. Please make sure you review the pictures before bidding as they are part of the description and feel free to send any questions regarding this item to my eBay email. I cannot say if the clock still works since the key to wind it up is missing. The entire mantel clock measures 21" L x 16 1/2" H x 7" and the bronzed Plato and clock section measures 15 1/2" L x 11" H x 6" W. I had it running for several weeks just because the chime has a wonderful tone. It stands about 14½” tall and measures about 10” across the widest point of the top. The circular face is about 3¾” in diameter. The key is included. Please see the pictures for the details on the German movement. The cabinet is in good used condition. But does have a few dings and such on some corners and high spots. However, the face is excellent and clear, and all the glass in intact. As I said. The chime is really nice with a very pleasant sound that’s unobtrusive, but is a nice reminder. Vintage Mini Mantel Shell Art Clock Germany 1/2 Dome 9.5" x 4.5"
Cute vintage shell art mantle clock. Says Made in Germany on face. Has lots of different shells on the front and top. A few of the ends of the shells on the top are broken-see pic 5. A few of the pink shells were missing that were around the dial. But I replaces them. Silver foil embossed paper on base and back. Red felt bottom has some water stains on it. I can't get it to run, but I hear it ticking sometimes. No key, so I can't test it out. In very nice condition. Measures 9 1/2" long x 4 1/2" high by 2 1/2" wide. It was left plugged in for about a half hour and kept time except I think it lost a couple of minutes. I am not sure how old it is. I think it is made of brass but I am not sure. It could be some type of cast metal, it is pretty heavy. It does show signs of wear from use and age, but nothing major that I can see. Estate Antique INGRAHAM 4 Pillar Mantel Clock Works Nice Case Adamantine Decor
This estate auctioned INGRAHAM clock with adamantine faux marble decor is in very good working condition. The 17" wide 11" high and 6 1/2" deep clock case is very clean. But has a nasty nick on the top as you can see in pic#7. All the rest of the wooden case has normal light wear. But looks like it was maybe refurbished. A very nice case overall. Fancy 8 days clocks movement chimes the hours on a coil gong and rings the half hours on the bell. The dial inside a 6" clean bezel is little darker near the 4 but in good condition. Mantel clock comes with a new Ingraham key and original pendulum. Time adjustment can be made with a thumb wheel in the dial. The back panel door is original. Thanks for looking.

Antique 1876 Ansonia Mantel Palor Clock with bell inside
This is a beautiful antique Mantel Palor Clock. Antique 1876 Ansonia Mantel Parlor Clock It is in good condition. But it does not work. It looks complete and original and I think it was wind-up too much. Dated inside with the Maker's Mark ANSONIA PATENT Oct. 10 1876 It has very elegant carving. The very top has some chips but is not all that easy to notice because of the way it is carved. The back has a split form age and there is a split on each side from age. I took some pictures so you can see. The clock is very elegant looking. The pendulum looks original and has a small ding on the back of one of the little cylinder looking pieces. It measures 21 inches tall and is 13 1/2 inches wide. It has a beauitful looking key. The little bell also has a Maker's Mark on the insdie A. B. C. Co. Very pretty antique clock.
