Using a magnet and acid for testing precious metals. I am unable at this time, to determine exact gemstones and I rely on the descriptions of the items that were sold to me and getting a reaction out of a diamond tester that indicates hardness that is typical of a gemstone, but doesn't tell me which gemstone. I also feel the stones to see if they are cold to the touch, indicating the pieces are most likely gemstones. Description: I present a wonderful vintage Mother of Pearl and Abalone latch bracelet. It is made from Alpaca silver and features a latch closure. It has a black enamel background ... morewith a MOP and abalone flower and leaves design. This area has no issues and appears to be in almost new condition. The latch works very well as my pictures indicate. Although it is non magnetic. It is made from Alpaca silver, which is a mixture of several non alloy materials, with about 80% real silver content. As with any vintage jewelry item, it has some light tarnishing and minor scratching, but could use a very thorough cleaning to make it sparkle. It is stamped on the back. There are some letters that have been rubbed off, but I got a picture of what was there and it looked like Spanish to me. For it's age. This bracelet is in very good condition, with the stamp still visible. A nice item for the collectors and for the wearers. Good luck bidding! These came of a 10-20 but was told they may fit a 15-30 also. Please check to make sure they will work on your tractor. As you can see from. Picture 2 they are showing a little rust on the seam. One has good spring tension the other is week but has some tension maybe you can use it for parts. You are bidding on a very early vintage Hardy Uniqua 3 5/8" RHW Salmon fly reel. With a grooved brass foot~~inscribed on the side of the foot with the British Pat.272409, inscribed on the inside with the maker's initials"W.S. ~ the employee of Hardy who made this reel. Because of the brass foot, we suspect that this reel was made before WW I as all of the brass was appropriated for shell casings until the war's end. The reel retains much of it's gray leaded wonderful patina. The reel has a black ebonite crank handle. Still in the card package with shrink wrap over the Safety Door Guard Latch and screws. In the upper left corner is SK-752 Complete Home Protection and in lower left corner it says Ideal Security St. Paul MN. 55101, it also has Union Made in U.S.A. The back of the card has instructions and a drawing of how to put it on a door. It feels pretty heavy and it looks like its in real nice condition, never used. There's no bar code lines anywhere so its older than when they started having those on packaging. The card is about 7 1/2" x 6 1/4" The jamb bracket is about 4" L. and it is the longest piece in the set, all pieces are there that are supposed to and so are the 2 one way tamper proof screws. This uses a solid piece of steel instead of a chain to allow a door to open at just a crack and still be secure. I'm pleased to offer this lot early to mid-1900s door knobs and related hardware. Including 4 complete latch sets in 2 sizes. A pair each for doors 3/4 and 1-1/2" thick, with knobs 2-1/4 and 1-7/8" in diameter. one of the small sets has a nickel finish and the other 3 have brass finishes) Pair of 2-1/4" knobs on 4" three-piece shaft. two different pairs of matching 2-1/4" knobs(loose) with stippled band and stepped profile. One pair of 2-1/4" knobs with stippled band and smooth profile Three other loose knobs as pictured. 10 2-1/4 by 7" plates for mortise style latch and lock sets. A few are made of solid brass. But some are plated. All have brass finishes except for the nickel finish noted above. All loose knobs are made for 1/4" shafts. The sets are probably the newest hardware in the lot.
