This is a wonderful auction for an ornate thumb Latch Door Pull Plate made by Sargent& Co. Made of cast bronze or brass with a deep pattern on the face. Handle and the thumb tab. a patent dated 1880 is seen behind it. Approximately 10"x3" The beautifully shaped back plate and handle boasts of the same design featuring double diamonds on scrolling leaves or vines on a textured background with a smooth border at the edges. The handle can be inverted for preference of orientation.

Vintage 4" Wooden Starback Fishing Reel. Heaton Latch
I have for sale a Heaton. 4" Wooden Nottingham style, Centrepin Fishing Reel. The reel has a star shaped back with a ratchet button mounted on the star. The reel is in good overall condition with some scratches and marks to the wood. You are seeing the reel in the same condition as I received it. Some treatment with a good wood polish will bring this up well. The reel is a good runner. It has a 4 screw Heaton locking latch, twin handles and a stabilised ratchet guide. The star shaped back was introduced as a means of preventing the wooden back from warping. The guided ratchet plate was a further development to stop the ratchet spring from jumping off the pawl. Carved Wooden Box This is a unique wood box. It has a famous picture decoupaged on it's top. The front has a beautiful floral carving. The box is fairly lite in weight and the wood appears somewhat soft so I am guessing it is cedar. But the smell is very faint so I am not positive. Blue liner is removable. The box is well made. The corners are jointed and the latch and hinges are very secure. This is a great find. The box has some marks and dents from age and use. The picture on the top has rub marks on it. Antique Primitive Hand Forged Wrought Iron Norfolk Door Thumb Latch Hardware. Mouseover to enlarge Up for auction is an antique Norfolk Door Latch. The back plate measures 8 3/4" high. 1 3/4" wide. The handle is 5" high, 1" diameter at the widest part. The thumb is 1 1/4" wide, 1 1/8" deep, and the thumb lever projects 3 1/4" from the back plate. It will accommodate up to a 2 1/2" door. This early latch is hand forged and is quite pitted but solid. It appears to have a coat of oil on it to help preserve it. There are no visible cracks, breaks or repairs, but the handle appears to be bent slightly to the right of center. There are no interior door parts included. Vintage Two Tier Peach Color Jewelry Box - Working Latch
This auction is for a vintage two tier jewelry box. It is peach color trimmed with a gold leaf design on the outside of the lid. The top tray on the inside is lined with velvet and is a little soiled. It has 6 compartments on the sides and a section for rings in the center. The bottom is lined with satin and is divided into 2 sections. The inside of the lid is lined with satin that has gold designs all over and a mirror in the center. The jewelry box measures approx. 7" x 10" and is 3 1/4" tall. It is hinged in back and has a working lock in front(lock is somewhat discolored) I do not see any labels on the box so I am not sure of the brand.
