Vintage Glass Door knobs. Purple 12 sided Neat vintage door knobs. One is Purple and the other one is clear. Both are 12 sided. No chips or cracks that I can see. There is some rust on and wear on the metal parts. 2" diameter and about 6 1/2" long. This might be the type of glass that turns purple and the clear one might turn purple if it is left in the sun. But I am not sure. The clear one has a slight hint of purple, and is not as bright white as the other ones that I have that are clear. So that is why I think there is a chance this could turn purple. But again, just a guess. Both have some small bubbles inside the glass which I think are kinda neat. Please look at all pictures. They are part of the discription. You will be getting what you see. GLASS DOOR KNOBS ART DECO FACE PLATES AND LOCK SET NICE SHAPE
Glass knobs measure 2 inches across. One has 1/8 inch chip on edge, nothing that takes away from the handle, I found it by feel. They both have a light yellowish tint, similar but not as dark as a canary diamond, that was very hard to photograph. I don't think it's because of age, but I am no expert. The plates measure 1 1/2 inches wide and 6 inches long. The lock set 3 1/8 x 3 1/2 inches, not including the edge cover, which measures 5 1/2 inches x 3/4 inches. lot of 17 -assorted unmatched vintage glass door knobs
for the most part these are in pretty good condition. Especially considering that they are vintage knobs. the two knobs with the white paper next to them spin in the brass base. a couple of the other knobs have a small chip or two and one of the knobs has some odd looking surface crazing. all in all these are very clean with very minor wear. please note that there are at least about 7 or 8 different styles here and many are not matched. however, you will find some pairs. they do have some paint on them here and there.

Offered for auction is a pair of cut glass faceted small interior glass door knobs. The door knobs have a brass base which is in very good condition with no imperfections. The glass measures approximately 1 3/4" across but is hard to measure because of the facets. They are both heavy. They were probably made during the Victorian era or before. Each set consists of 2 glass knobs, 2 stamped iron escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with 1 working key, 1 steel strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 spindle with 2 setscrews. The majority of the brass plating wore away over the years leaving the surfaces of the parts with a nice, distressed finish. At the point of salvage. All parts were painted, dirty, and unevenly tarnished(see last photo) Since then, we've removed the paint, and cleaned and polished all parts. Up for bid is this large lot of very old knobs of all kinds. Many are drawer pulls. Brass, glass, wooden, copper, bakelite, etc. There are very old strings used to replace the pull strings in lamps. There are knobs that may have c o me from different things like radios. Pot lids, stoves etc. There are 2. Maybe more, fenials from lamps. Some knobs are decorative with scrollwork, some are more art deco design. Many are plain old wooden knobs. There are 4 chains, 3 look to be copper? and one look like steel? Vintage Antique Set of 4 Glass & Brass Door Knobs with Rods
Up for auction is this gorgeous vintage set of 4 matching door knobs(2 pairs with stems) Each is 2" diameter. 12 sided, multifaceted glass with flower/star design inside the glass. The brass has not been polished and has it's original, beautifully aged petina. Each pair is about 6 1/4" long end to end with the stem. These came out of an old farm house and would make a stunning addition to anyone's home. There are some small scratches on 2 of the knobs but they are very minor and I have included 2 close ups to show them the best I can. Antique Crystal Art Deco Glass Door Knobs
Vintage Crystal Door Knobs. These are the bigger bolder variety of Knobs made in this era. Four of the sets are a perfect match. These four sets are very clean with only two miniscule nicks being found and mention for complete accuracy. The other two sets are similar but slightly more oblong in shape. There is a bit of scuffing on one of the knobs in this set. The other knob has just one tiny scuff. Mentioned for accuracy, but really ultra minor. On the other oblong set. One knob has a bruise with a small chip. The other knob has a slight amount of edge scuffing and bit of a rough edge. The faces of all the knobs are clean. One knob is missing its setting screw. And another knob has a tiny bit of wiggle in its setting/shank. All told this is a lovely grouping. In very good overall condition.
