This is a clear glass set containing two matching door knobs and two key hole cover plates. 48 Vintage / Antique Glass and Brass Door Knobs Plus 3 Locks
Up for auction are 48 very nice vintage glass door knobs. All of them appear to be the same pattern in the glass and about the same size. Which is about 2" in diameter. These knobs are all in good condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. They all seem to be brass with the exception of a couple which are steel and somewhat rusted. The connecting rods are also steel and show rust. There are also 3 locks included. These knobs and locks are"as found" and have not been cleaned in any way, so expect to see some paint spots, rust, tarnish, wear, and missing set screws here and there. One pair of clear glass knobs comes with the lock set and a couple of door plates and some screws but I don't have the key for it. The other glass set has one clear glass knob and one amethyst glass knob. The amethyst knob has some chips in it in a few places but I don't feel any sharp edges. Rather they have a 1" threaded post. We looked around on the internet and found that these types of knobs were used by furniture makers including Sellers and Hoosier Cabinets. Although those knobs appeared to be smaller. These measure 3" in length and about 2-1/4" in dia. Unfortunately as seen in the pics they all have some degree of damage. Mostly small chips but three have good chips from their bases. And some too on the top of the knobs. Hopefully even with some damage someone can either repair them or use them as is.
