This auction is for three very old sets of plow tines. These old fella's time have come to an end in the plow field. But still have plenty of use to go in the way of art and deco. I have done no restoration to these items, just in case the customer wants this rustic look that can only be done by mother nature. These would make for a great deco piece in the lawn or garden. Actually anywhere, now that I think about it. Here in the Ozarks people use them for garden accent pieces and fence decor. These could be used in great industrial art pieces, coat racks and tack hangers in the barn or garden. I have found no cracks or breaks in the tines. They are in surprisingly very good shape despite their age. I can not find any identifying maker's marks on this item without removing the patena. The clapper is also a gold tone reticulated metal ball. The bell is decorated with flowers and trimmed in a gold rim. The piece is nearly 4.5" in diameter and the mouth is a bit less than 2.5" It's in very nice condition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. This auction is for a Stangl Pottery hand painted and carved Country Garden 14.5" chop plate or round platter. This piece is in very good condition. Exhibiting two minor discolored areas shown close up below on either side of the pen. There is also some minor roughness on the under side edge to touch with two noticeable small chips. The"spder lines" visible over the stamp mark are not visible on the front of the platter. It is stamp marked as shown with the decorator's initials. This pattern was designed by Kay Hackett. Stangl Chop Plate Designed by Kay Hackett. The Garden Flower chop plate measures 12 1/2" in diameter and features a yellow tiger lily, pink phlox and blue balloon flower. Stangl Pottery was one of the most popular American pottery manufacturers in the first part of the 20th century. Its colorful. Simple designs made its dinnerware lines a casual alternative to more formal styles, while its art pottery lines competed successfully with more expensive and sophisticated ware. Despite the evolution of Stangl Pottery ... morefrom Fulper to Pfaltzgraf, its colorful dinnerware and bird figurines continue to be highly sought after by collectors. Stangl Pottery's early history goes back to 1814 when it started as Hill Pottery in Flemington, New Jersey. In 1910, ceramic engineer Martin Stangl went to work for Fulper to develop new shapes and glazes. Stangl left Fulper's employ in 1914 to go to Haeger where he created its new art pottery line, borrowing many of Fulper's styles and glazes. Stangl rejoined Fulper in 1919, where his continued success led to his becoming vice-president in 1924, when he introduced the first open stock solid-color dinnerware. The company's facilities had expanded to three production factories, though when the original factory in Flemington burned in 1929, production was transferred into the two remaining ones.
