We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique sofa/library table. The table features a gate leg(eight leg) design with French barley twist legs. The decorative stretchers are turned wood. The elongated octagon table top is burl wood and is either mahogany or walnut. The table top is skirted with a carved linear pattern. There are carved, open fretwork corbels that flank each leg at the skirted section of the table. Turned wood, cut in half, accent each corner of the leg/skirt section. The top is fixed and this is not a drop leaf design. It is designed with 4 intersecting panels. The table dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. It is constructed with inset, flat screws. The table is stamped"G20I" on the bottom of the table top. There are no additional marks or stamps. The table is in VERY GOOD condition with only very minor ... moresigns of age. Antique Hand Painted Fretwork Toy Carriage Royal Coach Primitve Wooden Wagon
This auction is for a really neat old fretwork style toy carriage. The carriage is hand painted royal blue with burgundy accents and yellow and red wheels. As you can see from the last picture. The wagon's main parts slide apart allowing for assembly without any glue. One point at the top of the carriage has been reglued, there is a tape repair on one axle, and there is crazing in the paint but this piece is otherwise in good condition for its age. Measures 16" long and 10" tall.

This beautiful Christening set consists of a pretty fretwork child's fork and spoon in the original velvet lined case. The silver is marked for Sheffield. 1950 and the maker is C.B. S. The fretwork depicts a little figure wearing a hat and sitting on a rustic stool, they seem to be eating a pie- I think that it may be little Jack Horner! It is made of plywood- the Victorians invented it… 18" tall. And each side is 6.5" deep. The two shelves are 5.75" apart. Very good condition- no breaks to the fretwork-but the two sides are very slightly separated at one end at the corner-see photos. Needs a dusting in all of the cutwork. The condition is strong. Victorian Fretwork Comb box, Hangs, Pine and Walnut, Gold trim, Primitive
This is a wall hanging Victorian fretwork box made to hold combs and brushes and still look pretty. The height is 15 inches. Width about 12.5" And it's about 4.25 inches deep. It's made mostly of walnut with the tiny shelf under the box and the floor of the comb box being made of pine. It has old varnish. The back is bare wood. The comb and brush(or mirror) in the fretwork is trimmed in gold paint. It has a scrap of red fabric attached in the box. So it was probably once lined with it. There are 6 hand carved fretwork slide out panel inserts of which TWO are missing. Four fretwork panels are included& in good condition(there is a 5th that is broken of which I will include) These could easily be replaced with stain glass inserts or alternated with any other type of insert of your choice to make it unique. The legs are all in excellent shape. The cross braces will have to be re-attached ... morewith some good small finishing nails. The only other flaw that I noticed was there is one loose cross brace that will need a little handiwork repair. The very attractive brooch has lovely fretwork silver intertwining scrolling motifs. With a silver flower head at either end. A 3.5mm diameter red Coral cabochon is prong set in the centre of the scrolling fretwork. Overall. The brooch measures 3.5cm long by 2cm across and 1.2cm high. Fastened on the underside by a pin and roll-over clasp. Stamped with a silver grade make on the underside. Beside the pin mounting. I cannot make this out, as it is tiny, but guaranteed silver. Antique Victorian Gothic fretwork tracery oak glass light lantern from a church
A beautiful antique Victorian Gothic Revival church lantern made from oak/ oak veneer and graduated frosted glass. The lantern itself is square profile. Measuring 6" x6" across the moulded oak framed top and 5.5" x 5.5" across the similar open base. The wooden structure stands 6.75" high, plus the hanging arrangement which is fitted to the original oak/oak veneer shaped central plate- this sill has its original tiny domed screws. The 4 original panels of frosted/sand-blasted glass are graduated from a speckled terracotta/rust colour at the top to colourless at the bottom, giving a lovely warm, mellow tone to the lighting. The panels are still held in by the tiny, original metal tabs and pins inside the oak frame. The gorgeous Gothic tracery fretwork panels are cut from what looks like an oak veneered board rather ... morethan solid oak(but I could be wrong) All this and the dark oak dyed& waxed finish are completely intact and original. There are a couple of tiny chips/ scuffs to the oak here and there which are inevitable given the age of this piece, but no faults to the fragile tracery and no splits, repairs or other problems. I bought this lantern from a church antiques specialist when I first moved into my Victorian Gothic house around 10 years ago and it has been hanging here and in use ever since. I had a very nice antique copper finish bulb holder with integral hanging hook fitted along with bronze coloured new(safe! flex and a very authentic looking Gothic style bronze finish chain with ceiling rose and internal electrical fittings for direct wiring to the household mains. It is 100% ready to hang elsewhere. Easily postable. I am aiming to keep the bubblewrapped, padded and strongly boxed lantern parcel to within the Royal Mail's'up to 2kg, medium parcel' rate. It has a lovely old patina and natural grain pattern. It's lined with red satin and has matching ribbons. Inside are 4 finely woven wool flannel"pages" for the needles. The condition is excellent with no chips. Cracks or other damage. Rare Old Paolo Soprani Italy Pink Professional Piano Accordion Fretwork Cased
I have to say I am not a musician and know very little about the technical details of musical instruments. I had this tested by a musician that plays the accordion and they told me it was very good with an extensive range of notes and chords with 120 bass. It also has a thumb slide to change register. It dates from about 1930s-1950s Personally I find it a great display piece. Very Retro and Flamboyant, verging into kitsch. Pink Colour. Decorated with wooden fretwork, strass beads, imitation mother of pearl keys. Nice Leather Straps in very good condition I can imagine a performer or itinerant musician playing it with great gusto at the fairs dressed in an equally flamboyant style The only defect I can see is some yellow staining(age. Use related) on the keys. Of course the case looks old with lots of signs of use. But is perfectly usable.

Antique Victorian Fretwork Stick and Ball Architectural Salvage Opera House
This piece of victorian fretwork is salvage from the restoration of an 1890 opera house. It measures 39 by 12 inches. The finish is worn and there are four places that will need repair. One of the balls is split. And the fretwork is broken in three other spots. I tried to capture these defects with the camera, so please look carefully at the pictures. It should be an easy repair. This is an impressive. Large folding shelf in Sorrento ware. The central panel is made from inlaid and stained olive wood which is set into a lovely bevelled, oval panel and fretwork. The shelf and folding support are also of fretwork. It measures 19 inches high. 9.5 inches at the widest and 6 inches deep. It was made in the late 19th Century in Sorrento. Italy. VINTAGE EDWARDIAN- ART DECO ROLLED GOLD'WILD ROSE' FRETWORK UPPER-ARM BANGLE Fantastic vintage Edwardian to Art Deco era fretwork Rolled Gold'Wild Rose' upper arm slave bangle. The attractive fretwork bangle measures 8mm wide across the band. It has fine rope-twist upper and lower edges and features an oxidised ribbon of Rolled gold. Working itself all the way around the band in a zig-zag line. Repousse modelled and engraved Rolled Gold Wild Rose flower-Heads sit in between each of the hollows created by the oxidised ribbon. Internal diameter across the inside of the bangle measures 8.1cm. So will sit above the elbow. Stamped ROLLED GOLD and has a maker's mark on the inside of the band. In good vintage condition. This ornamental fretwork surely enjoyed a place of prominence, such as the doorway between the entry hall and front parlor. Description: Intricately hand sawn oak. MID CENTURY MONT STYLE CHINESE CHIPPENDALE MING RED GOLD COFFEE TABLE FRETWORK
We are pleased to offer this exquisite. Mid Century, James Mont style, Chinese Chippendale coffee/occasional table. The table, which dates to the 1960s, features a low profile with curved/flared legs in the Ming Dynasty style. The table is finished in an antiqued red(red with black over glaze) and is accented with small amounts of black and gold. The table features a deeply incised pattern which is present on the legs and at the mid point on all sections of the table skirt. The incised designs are black and the skirts accents have gold inside the black incisions. The table top is quite striking. It is an opened design with 4 rectangular sections surrounding a center of cut fretwork. The fretwork is also finished with in gold. This is a beautiful table of hardwood construction. It has a high sheen finish but is a little different in appearance ... morethan the lacquered pieces of today. This piece has a richer, deeper color to it. It is marked on the bottom"Made in Taiwan" with a series of numbers, but there is no manufacturer's stamp or sticker. The table is designed for 5 pieces of glass on the top. The table is in very good condition with very little evidence of age or use. The glass is missing but, because of the small sizes, should be easy and fairly inexpensive to replace. This is an eye catching, striking table with an elegant and refined character. The table measures 16.5" tall. It is 38.25" squared at the widest(mid leg) measurement. The replacement glass pieces would measure 21.7/8" x 5.7/8" 4 of this size) and the center would need a square piece of glass measuring 14.75" x 14.75" Because of the size. Here is a really adorable miniature vintage wooden wood fretwork ornament of a elf or gnome holding a little clover. Made in West Germany(circa 1949-1990) It is in very good condition with some VERY minor paint loss and color rubs consistent with age& use. Not labelled or marked, but you can see the quality. It is about 2 1/4" in height. Painted on both sides. I don't know how it is, but I did purchase this from a seller in Germany last year. It would make a great St. Patrick's day decoration!
