Antique Victorian Eastlake Double Door Flush Cremone Slide Bolt Jamb Lock Knob
Penn Antique Restoration. Antique BLW"Bamboo" Cast Iron Door Internal Slide Bolt. Fantastic. Antique, internal, slide bolt made by, Branford Lock Works, of Branford, CT during the late 1800's. The plate and rod/bolt are solid. Heavy, thick, cast iron. We didn't include a keeper. But you could purchase one from us for an additional $10(see 2nd to last photo) Email us after the auction if you're interested. Both the activator and bolt were originally bronze-plated. However, some of the plating wore off over the years leaving them with a nice, distressed finish. If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. I t's the locking mechanism installed on one of the doors in a pair of double doors. For the purpose of keeping one door stationary, while allowing the other to swing freely. The last photo shows a similar ... morebolt that sold awhile ago. We included the photo to give you an idea of how this flushbolt would look like once installed. The activator features BLW's very popular. Bamboo, pattern, which epitomizes the Aesthetic(Eastlake) style. The parts were salvaged from Northeastern Iowa. At the point of salvage. One pair of knobs engages the lock when turned. And the other, dummy, pair just sit on the other door and look pretty. The lock is reversible and could could accommodate the swing of any door. Unfortunately. There is a broken piece inside of the lock that we weren't able to fix, and as a result, the lower, deadbolt, latch ... moreis unusable. Only the upper, passage, latch works, and the lock is limited to simply keeping a door closed. The escutcheons have a wonderful. Aesthetic(Eastlake) style design. Also notice the bronze shanks on the knobs-what great accents! We found the parts painted and dirty(see last photo) Much time was spent removing the paint. And cleaning and polished all parts to the best of our ability. The knobs have a few light scuffs and scratches. Otherwise all parts are in great shape. Free of any breaks. Cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches. We opened the lock and greased all of the internal parts to facilitate their movement. The lower deadbolt latch is in operable. Antique, interior door locksets salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each set consists of 2 jet black porcelain knobs w/iron shanks, 2 iron escutcheons with bronze knob collars, 1 iron mortise lock w/1 working key, and 1 spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knobs. All iron parts are solid, heavy, thick, cast iron, not flimsy stamped(pressed) or wrought iron. Originally, all iron parts were bronze plated, however, most of the plating wore off over the years leaving the parts ... morewith a nice, distressed finish. The amount of plating from part to part, please examine the photos to compare. We didn't include a strike plate for the door jamb because we didn't have any ornate strikers that match up with the lock. However. Nashua Lock Co. of Nashua, NH, and the locks were made by, Sargent& Co. of New Haven, CT during the late 1800's. They have a wonderful, Aesthetic(Eastlake) style design. We found the sets painted. Dirty, and rusty(see last photo) Since then, we removed the paint, and cleaned and polished all parts to the best of our ability. All parts are in great shape with only the light nicks and scratches. You are buying a Antique Set Of 6 Eastlake Brass Drawer Pulls. All 6 are in excellent original complete condition with great patina. The brass back plates measure 3 3/4" wide and 7/8" tall with a stamped designed. The pulls have a 2 5/8" on center mounting bolts with original nuts. The bails and mounting bolts and nuts are steel in excellent condition. What a great set to finish off that restoration project. Antique Eastlake Style Oak Small Decorative Bench with Lift Up Lid
Small Antique Lift Top Eastlake Decorative Bench Estate find. This is a nice little Eastlake Bench. I think the wood is walnut Great carved decorative detail including great cut out sides, turned stretcher piece and etched flowers on end panels. The top of the bench lifts up to reveal a small storage space under the seat. In good antique condition. The top wood has small holes where it looks like it once had an upholstered top and some wear and there are minor wears to the finish from years of use. Solid, sturdy, lovely little accent piece- you could upholster the top or leave it with the wood top. Bench measures 18" long. 9.5" wide and 16" tall. Nice Little Antique Eastlake Bench. Antique Eastlake Era Piano Bench Piano Stool Needlepoint Top Storage in Bench I’m baaaaack! I had the incredible opportunity to chaperone a school related trip to France. Germany and Belgium. It focused on American conflicts in WWI and WWII and it was heaven for a history lover like me. I was able to fit three items in my bag for you– look for them this week. I’m also still listing new items from my Indiana picking trip– lots of barn find and Amish farm finds from the two fellas that I visit every year. Enjoy! Wow. Is this one pretty. It's an antique, late 1800s piano bench/stool in all it's fancy glory. You don't often see a bench style, and this one opens up to provide a little bit of storage, so it was a no brainer to buy. The needlepoint top is lovely- I do not know if it is original(my guess is no) but it isn't anywhere ... morenew, either, and it works with this piece very well. I'm guessing that it has faded over the years- the color is a grey that has a hint of blue in the right light, and it's faded more on the ends than in the center. It's accented with sprays of flowers in shades of pink, blues, greens and golds. The fading is really the only issue that is major(if you call it major, I call it shabby pretty) the back left corner of the needlepoint material has come loose right at the corner and could use to be tacked down a little- even if you didn't, it's barely noticeable, and it's not damage, just life. The top is fairly dusty, and could use a good cleaning- I think that would brighten it up a bit too, I have not cleaned or messed with as found patina in any way. The top of the bench measures 21" by 9 1/4" and it stands 17" tall at the center of the top. The bench is very lightly padded- it doesn't feel like a newer type of foam padding, though, it feels older to me and harder than you'd have with a new foam. It weighs 9 lbs.
