lot antique Victorian Eastlake rim locks vintage catch latch lockset hardware
Nice pair of old Branford lock works rim locks for your consideration. One ornately patterned and are both cast iron. One marked Branford and the other marked BLW. The ornate patterned locks drive gear operates the latch mechanism and the secondary manual deadbolt slide operates with slide lever. I do know if the deadbolt slide works because there is no key. The matching patterned catch has a small corner cracked off however could be repaired nicely since it is not in the line of the design. Although could be used as is I suppose. I think the other lock with matching catch is missing some flat springs since the latch locking lever will not stay engaged. I as well do not know the condition of the deadbolt slide since this also has no key. Slides all look like they might be brass. Housings are cast iron. nice old couple of rim locks for repair ... moreor hard to find parts. Questions welcome other wise what you see is what you get. Lot antique Victorian Eastlake doorknob keyhole covers Vintage door key hardware
Nice lot of four antique Eastlake patterned doorknob keyhole backplates for your consideration. These are good reusable condition. Some very minor peening might be needed to straighten a couple of the edges. Most of the original copper Japanning is gone. Some residual cleaning will be needed for a new finish where there is some old paint and finish on them. Neck collars are tight for reuse and measure just shy of 3/4 of an inch. Plates measure 5 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches and are 2 inches ctr to ctr of the skeleton key barrel to the doorknob collar. Questions welcome otherwise what you see is what you get. I have seen them described elsewhere as Eastlake, but can't find confirmation that mine are actually Eastlake so am describing them as Eastlake-like. They measure just over 1& 3/4" in diameter. The inside opening measures 9/16" in diameter. Not only are these architectural gems, but they make lovely pendants when worn individually. I have an antique cast iron deadbolt lock slide for your consideration. This is original Victorian Eastlake period door hardware. Spring feels strong for reuse. All the original Jappaned finish is worn away. Will clean up nicely for a new finish or nice as is. This was a typical toe kick release for the bottom of a door and floor. The slide engages with foot simply by pushing to engage knob. To disengage simply tap the button with your toe. The top side of the door might have had a matching slide with a chain pull to secure the topside of the door. Lock comes with a flush mount strike that is not original to the piece although could work depending on your application. Up for bid is a super nice old brass latch/lock for pocket doors mad by K&D Co. I believe they are 100 years old. All in good working condition. The mortise for latch is 4 ½” high. 5/8”wide and 3 ½”deep. The mortise for latch face plate is 7” X 1” X 1/4” The mortise for the pulls is 4 3/4” high, 2” wide, ½” deep. I think they are Eastlake style. A very nice set.

I have two exceptionally beautiful cast bronze ornately patterned Victorian Eastlake period door lock back plates and one matching handle. These are original authentic period hardware pieces. Designed for use with thumb latch mortise lock. Plates show beautifully an ornate floral geometric pattern in rich bronze or brass color. These will clean up to a brilliant shine if wanted. Some minor dings and scuffing consistent with there age. Measure 11 1/2 x 2 3/16 inches. Manufacturer marking on back X08186. Thumb latch and handle show more wear than plates. This is a lot of 8 original Antique Victorian cast iron and bronze"eagle claw" window sash locks. This exquisitely ornametal window hardware is from the 1880's. The patented Eastlake style 1886. Eagle Claw double hung sash locks were made by the H. B. Ives Company of New Haven, Connecticut.They are original antiques which are made of cast iron and have beautiful bronze handles with a patented dual action lock function. The'arm' is a feathered wing that locks into a claw on the‘keeper’ or catch. The intricately patterned bronze arms or handles turn with ease and are in excellent working condition.
