Description This is a nice lot that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Mansion porch. It looks like one set of three and then three singles. From left to right#s 1. 2, and 6 are the same. Each is 85 inches tall with a base diameter of 12.25 inches. 3 is 86 inches tall and is fluted. 4 is 94 inches tall. 5 is 82.5 inches tall and is also fluted. Overall they are in decent condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. They have old chippy paint. Some seams are showing. I found these wrapped up with a tag attached to it reading: F. Krober cabinet#53 mantel 1888. I did look through the basement that I did aquire but could not find the clock case these had come off of. So I am assuming they do belong to a Kroeber Clock? Or could be used on another clock case. They are in really good condition. They could use a good cleaning but I did not touch them I wouldn't even know what to clean them with. They have great carved acanthus leaves around the base. There are dowels at the tops and bottoms. Each measures 27.75 long without the dowels. And 3.5 inches in diameter at the widest points. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. There are a few chips at the top. Please look at the pictures carefully. This is a Cloisonne Japanese Vase. It stands 12 in. tall. The base is about 3 in across and the top opening is 1 little over 3 in. It says made in China in blue ink on the bottom and the#24. There is one smudge on the birds beak(1/4 in) But that is all the imperfections on this piece. It has a swan design and red and beige flowers and column and blue aqua colored small leaves, with the main colors being browns and beiges and dots of gold. I aquired it at a estate. Ingraham Black Mantle Clock Brass Lion Head Handles Footed Marble Columns
This clock is in pretty good condition. There is a little discoloration on the top but it may shine out. I don't see any major dents/gashes/marks/ or scratches in the wood. The back has a few litttle spots mainly where the clasp comes over it to close it. The handles on the sides are lions heads and the feet in the front have an ornate design both all of which I believe is brass. There are two marble looking pieces under the columns but I am almost positive it is painted wood and not marble. I am pretty sure the back is original. The white face of the clock has come out of the casing a bit like its peeling off but it can be fixed. I'm sure if you unscrew the casing from the clock and put it back on while tucking it back under the casing where it belongs it would be right again or maybe even add a bit of glue along with that but I ... morewill let the buyer decide if he or she would like to do that. I am not sure that this clock works as i am not familiar with these but I think it does if you know what you are doing with it. I swung the pendulum in the bottom by hand one time and it ticked like it should and made the two sprockets that make the hands move inside for about a min. With one touch from me. I am selling this AS IS in NON WORKING condition but I am almost positive with a little tweaking the right person would easily get it to work again just as it should. Half hour strike, cathedral gong. Appears to be in working condition, has been professionally cleaned and serviced. This is a early clock from when Sessions first changed the name of E.N. Welch c. 1903. The Face is a porcelain Welch. The clock is in very good condition. At the beginning of the 20th century, the E. N. Welch clock-making firm was struggling. They used a local foundry to produce their castings. The foundry owners son, William E. Sessions, took an interest in horology and, along with other Sessions family members, bought controlling interest in the E. N. Welch Company. In 1903 the firms name was changed and the Sessions Clock Company was organized. Under William's ... moremanagement the firm produced all components of their line of clocks, including movements, cases, dials, artwork and castings. Sessions realized that the future of clock-making was moving to electricity so, in 1930, the company expanded to produce electric clocks, timers for radios, televisions and other devices. Antique Waterbury Clock CO Java Mantle Clock W Columns & Figural Ram Sides
This is a neat old. Antique clock by Waterbury Clock Company. It was purchased from a recent estate sale. The clock is not running and was left wound too tight. I have both keys, the pendulum. The finish could use a little tlc but I like it the way it is and wound just lightly sand the top and apply a matching finish or just clean it real well. The screws on the back are obviously not original and someone who did not know about clocks obviously tinkered with it. Typically when I have had clocks which were wound too tight. They were easy to free. I did and have not opened the back and will leave that up to the buyer. The clock does not have any visual repairs that I can see other than the screws. Found at a hoarder's estate sale. This"Statistical Summary Human Dependency Survey Navajo Reservation 1940" is 55 pages long. Sometime during World War II someone began using it as a scrapbook resulting in numerous Ernie Pyle wartime columns being glued onto the first 14 pages of the Survey. Hopefully, someone will be able to carefully detach them in order to see the underlying pages. The remaining 41 pages contain statistics for every aspect of the Navajo peoples living on the Reservation. There are tables showing how many sheep and cattle were consumed; how many rugs, baskets, pots and pelts were sold to the Trading Post and how much was paid for them; how many acres of land were being farmed and what produce they were growing; how many horses, sheep, cattle and goats were owned by the Navajo; how many fruit trees there were; ... morewhich items from the Trader were sold to the Navajo people; and how much was owed to the Trading Post.
