Large Antique Cast Iron Shelf Mantel Brackets, 18x16 in, vintage old industrial
This is a beautiful pair of old shelf brackets. These antique brackets are made of cast iron. They are very large. At 17 7/8 inches by 15 7/8 inches by 1 7/16 inches. They have 3 mounting holes on the 15 7/8 in side and one at the tip of the 17 7/8 in side. Some of the black finish has worn off, and there is light rust where the finish is missing. This pair is decorative without being too fussy. They would add a lot of visual interest to any room.

Nice old milk glass bathroom shelf with cast iron black porcelain brackets. The brackets have a couple small fleabite sized chips and some scratches and scuff marks. The set screws on the brackets for both the glass and the mounting brackets turn easily. The milk glass is smooth on one side and textured on the other. The smooth side has some staining and a couple small chips. The textured side has a quarter size chip on one end. This piece still has its original mounting brackets and will come with 4 screws for installing. Overall it is in good usable condition. Nice old and heavy corner braces used for an accent on my son's older home. This auction is for two(2) vintage Corner Braces. They would also work fine for a shelf brace. Pictures: The 5th picture is showing the back of one and the 6th picture show the width of one leg while laying on the other. If you can't tell these are oak tree leaves and acorns. Also. Some of the pictures make the legs look like they are curved or bent, they are not- they are all nice and straight. The holders(2) are 23.75" tall and have ribs that catch the brackets and lock them into place. Here are the original pieces of an ornate cast iron shelf(minus the top) which. I believe came from the back of a wood stove. Each bracket is 11 1/2" wide by 14" tall plus there is a 20" metal bar which connects them. No makers name. Just a couple of letters. They are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Do note that each bracket is made a little different shape. One has hooks on the back and the other is curved(probably to go around a stove pipe) and has hooks to the side. Will make a great looking shelf.
