What I have for auction is a vintage. Victorian Cast Iron Register-Heating Grate- Dome Shaped. FACE PLATE ONLY. Grate measures 13-3/4"H x 10-1/4"H. The grate face plate has a fancy. Ornate design. There are wheat stalks on either side; there are two cat-tail design in the upper center; there is a daisy flower pattern and a four-pedaled flower pattern all incorporated in an intricate overall design. There is also a daisy pattern around the perimeter of the grate. Cleaned up this would be a gem. Grate in good condition. No cracks. We combine shipping on multiple items. This is a vintage large round cast iron outer register/vent grate. It originally has an insert in the middle that I do not have. It measures 15 3/4" across. The top band has a textured basket weave pattern and the inner band has pierced curved spokes. The black finish has and is flaking off and there is some surface rust in places that could easily be removed. I cannot find a makers mark on this piece. This great old piece has a lot of potential for any repurposing project you can think of. It is not from a pet/smoke free home. The hole opening is 37 1/2" X 26 5/8" This weighs about 75 pounds and will be around 90 pounds after adding packing and a box.
