Antique Cast Iron Air Grate Table Black & White
This is a one of a kind antique cast iron air return grate that has been turned into a table. The top is 18" x 27" It is about 32" tall. The legs unscrew so this item can be shipped. The grate is an old victorian style late 1800's or early 1900's style with the original white. Now cream colored, paint. The table is 2x4's framed underneath the top with early American style legs screwed underneath. The wood frame is a more rustic style and was not done in a professional store or anything. It is still nicely put together though. The wood has been painted a glossy black and has a nice modern look with the contrast of the two colors. This is a vintage Gothic style cast iron fireplace insert that doesn't seem to have ever been used with a fire. It measures aprox. 17 1/2" wide across the front. 14 1/2" across the back x 9" deep x 10 1/2" high on the back and 9 1/2" high on front. The bottom grate lifts out for cleaning purposes. Other than some surface rust it is in good condition, no breaks. It is available for pickup or can be delivered by Fed Ex ground for 22.80 including insurance. Here is an absolute original floor grate from the late 1800's to early 1900's in beautiful condition. Just dust and a bit of surface rust, it has a cross emblems on the outer perimeter. No chips, cracks or breaks. The top side measures 23 3/4" x 16 1/4" the underside to fit in it's spot is 21 1/4" x 14" It has etched in the underside in scrolled numbering 14 x 22. It's weight is approx 13 lbs.

This auction is for an Antique Victorian Design 3 Piece Cast Iron Round Floor/ Ceiling Grate from an old NW Missouri Farmhouse. This on dates back to the late 1800's to the early 1900's. It measures 16" in diameter. Removable center. The inner ring moves for opening and closing. Pretty floral design. Shabby white paint that appears to be original. There is a faint mark that looks like a hairline crack that I have pictured. It has not compromised the integrity of the piece. But I want you to know it is there. See last two pictures. Antique cast iron window grate 32"x21" ex cond
I have owned this for 35 years. Originally a pair in my basement windows in center city philadelphia. Till someone stole the other one. Then when I moved it came with me. It is from the 1800's when these houses were built, that much I do know. As you can see it is a fantastic piece and in excellent condition, and very, very rare. A very ornate window grate that weighs a ton. It weighs 58 lbs measures32"x21" or 24 3/4" if you count the one corner mounting. Thank you for your time.

Primitive Antique Cast Iron Heat Register Grate Vent Shabby Chippy Paint I’m baaaaack! I had the incredible opportunity to chaperone a school related trip to France. Germany and Belgium. It focused on American conflicts in WWI and WWII and it was heaven for a history lover like me. I was able to fit three items in my bag for you– look for them this week. I’m also still listing new items from my Indiana picking trip– lots of barn find and Amish farm finds from the two fellas that I visit every year. Enjoy! Here's a nice old cast iron heat register grate. This one was made to last. And has- it weighs a beffy 9 1/4 lbs. It has a door at the back that is open/close controlled by the little finger that comes out from the top front of the grate- it works just fine too. The piece measures 14 3/4" wide at the top, 14 7/8" wide at the ... morebottom, 1 1/8" deep at the top, 2" deep at the bottom, and the inside opening(where the door is on the backside) measures 11 1/4" wide by 9 1/2" tall. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The paint- well, which generation do you want me to discuss? I see black, white and a burgundy read- there may be some others too. It's allllll very very very chippy, shabby and worn- no one spot really with coverage completely- you see the primitive red color the most, I guess- see what you think. There's surface rust where the paint is worn down to the metal- on the front and sides, but more so on the back. The rust is a little thicker on the bottom of the back, but it's still surface there too with no holes, sharp edges, etc. The back piece that opens is pretty well covered with a very old layer of surface rust. I'm showing in photo 18 that there's a spot on the left side of that back door that sticks out- a rounded U shaped at the edge. You can see it in the other back side photos, too- it does not stick out very much. I don't know if that is part of the design, or if it is damage to the door- please supersize and see what you think. Wh

This is a beautiful old Victorian ceiling heat vent or grate. It has a floral design. The outer edge is embossed. IDEAL, STOVER MFG. CO. FREEPORT, ILL. The grate is put together from two parts. The smaller inner part turns about 3 inches to open or close the vent. It works good and has never been tampered with. It looks like original black paint with a light tint of gold on the leaves.The diameter of this vent is 15 5/8 inches. The diameter of the inner stove pipe hole is 6 1/4 inches. This is a very nice piece in excellent condition.

Marked in one louver in molded lettering“Patented May 1882 SIMONDS MFG CO 50 Cliff St NY” About 14” tall. About 11½” across at widest point; about 2½” front to back. Measurements taken on outer decorative face; dimensions across louver section is less. Fine vintage condition, no breakage. Mostly old paint with only some minor flaking in crevices of scrollwork. Some typical paint drips/streaks slopped on edges when surrounding walls were painted over the years.
