This is a beautiful OLD cast iron floor grill that is rectangular in shape. The top of the grille measures 21" long by 14" wide. The grille needs a floor opening of 19" long by 12" wide. Very old.in good condition. Has its louvers that work very well.one louver on one side has a small portion of it missing and this one louver doesn't open much.otherwise. Rustic Primitive Antique Cast Iron Heat Regester Air Vent Grate Chippy White The pickens were slim this weekend as far as auctions and estate sales. So I went to a favorite antique mall that always has an awesome February sale. Picked up lots of antiques and unique items to list! I also continue to list new items from the farm estate auction, with lookouts more new hardware pieces over the next several weeks. I am also going to one of my favorite flea market shows this weekend, so wish me luck! There’s something for everyone! Here's an antiqque cast iron heating vent grate that just ooooozes rustic primitive charm. as you can see from my photos. It's white paint is very old, and very chippy, crackled, shabby and worn all over, and you can see lots of the metal underneath covered by a layer of surface rust. You don't have to have ... morea house to enjoy this one- it stands very well on its own as I have it in my first and last photos- so it could be a prettypretty primitive decorative accent for you too. It's 13 1/4 lbs heavy- so a great door stop it would make for you too! The grate measures 15 3/4" by 12 1/4 on the outside back. It is 3" deep at the bottom and graduates to a slimmer 1 1/2" deep at the top. The piece has the solid piece in the back that is supposed to open and close for you, but I could not get the lever to budge- so could not get it to open. I didn't try to hard for fear of breaking it, but I wanted you to know- maybe you have the trick! Other than that, it appears to be in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The rust is surface only, from what I can see, with no holes etc. I'm showing in a photo that you can see the numbers 8 and 13 on the back- it may have other markings under the paint, but I couldn't see any. Vintage ornate round Victorian cast iron floor register heat grate - restored 8"
This is a beautiful cast iron Victorian floor register. It is 9- 5/16" across and is designed to fit an 8" round opening. It is 2- 1/8" deep when closed and 2- 5/8" deep when open. Most of the original finish had worn off. So we wire brushed this register and gave it a hand rubbed oil and wax finish suitable for interior use. It is ready to be installed. 1 pressed metal Stove Pipe Cover and 1 cast iron stove pipe surround(floor or wall register/grate/collar/flange) Both vintage if not antique from our 1917 house. Cover measures approximately 8" across and has paint on it. Has some dings and dents, needs a good bath and has areas of corrosion. Wires that hold cover in place are slightly misshapen. Surround measures approximately 12 3/4" across on the outside and has what I think is heat paint on it(black) Specks and drops of other paint on it, rust in areas not painted, and needs a good cleaning.
