Pair 11" Vintage Brass Candelabras, 5 sconce candle holder with drip pans
Pair of Vintage Brass Candelabras Converts to hold 5. 3, or 1 candle This nice pair of candelabras came from my great-grandmother's estate. The center sconce screws off so you can remove one or two of the arms. Making this a 1, 3, or 5 candle holder. You can also"fold" the arms so the candelabras take up less room in storage. see picture) Each sconce has its own drip pan. I couldn't find any maker's mark on these, or other indication of origin. The candelabras stand 11" high(all sconces are at the same height) The arms are 8" wide and the base is 4.25" wide. Condition: These brass candelabras have patina and some green oxidation in several spots. I haven't tried cleaning them up. The tops are at slight angles. pair quezal fluted art glass irridescent shade brass sconce steuben tiffany era
i have for auction without reserve this very elegant pair of quezal shades on matching brass sconces. i will start with the brass sconces. they measure 8 and 1/2 inches tall and project out 5 inches. the back plate is 6 inches tall with a width of 4 and 1/4. they are not signed but of quality for sure and period 1915-1925 and both with original sockets and pull chains. the sockets pulling smoothly. the patina also original with some as to be expected scuffing and minor scratches. both sconces without any sort of metal damage or fatique and ready to be hung immediately upon unpacking. the shades properly signed quezal at the top rim and measuring 5 inches tall and 4 and 3/4 inches wide at the bottom. the shades without cracks or chips or even a fleabite to be found. a little bit of an air bubble or something in the manufacturing process of ... moreone but i would think it to be of very minor consequence. very nice iridescence in the glass and simply a great period pair of wall sconces in fantastic original condition. please check out my other ebay lighting auctions as i have plenty of good stuff up for sale now. thanks for looking. bidders please remember that i am selling antiques and that there should be a degree of expectation on your part in knowing that there will be normal aging and minor imperfections towards an item that is 75 to 100 years old. chances are if there arent any. Most likely from 1960s The 2 ends pieces with medallions. Which appear to be solid brass(magnet does not stick) are removable by unscrewing ornamental nuts. This allows bulb replacement. Back of fixture that attaches to wall is aluminum with a gold color. Glass shade slips into channels in aluminum frame. Paper label on back reads“PROGREE LTG DIV. Vintage Brass 3 Arm Candle Wall Sconce
Did the flickering light of candles held in these sconces illuminate Poe's Montresor as he immured the hapless Fortunato under guise of sharing a rare cask of Amontillado? Did they bear witness to Guy Fawkes' failed attempt on the 5th of November to forward the 1605 Gunpowder Treason and Plot? Probably not. But they could have! These are a pair of three-armed wall sconce candleabras. The arms screw into the base. And are slightly misaligned(easily corrected with a bit of thread- I am sure Fortunato has some hanging from his bones! The finish shows a delightful aged patina, and small spots of discoloration and verdigris. Each sconce measures 14 1/2" long. 14" wide, and 7 3/4" deep, and weigh 8 pounds. RARE Antique EDISON Japanned Brass Industrial Wall Sconce Flat Milk Glass Shade
Here we have a very cool Machine Age Edison wall sconce with a really great japanned brass finish and 8 inch antique flat milk glass shade. Including the shade this lamp will stick out about 14 1/2 inches from your wall. This has a great early Edison socket with a Bryant turn paddle that has mica used as an insulator as shown in photo 12. This sconce is a rare find and has a great look to it. This is a very old wall sconce from a Detroit castle that is in great shape and works as it should. This is very heavy and very well made. Antique Brass Wall Sconce Light fixture Glass Shade / Hubble Switch
Today we have up for auction an old Brass wall light fixture with a lovely clear and frosted shade. It extends 7in from the wall and is 10in tall from bottom of shade to top of piece that fits flat to the wall. The fitter is 2 1/4in across. The shade is 5in tall and bottom is 4in across. The shade is in good condition no cracks or chips. It does have a little roughness around bottom but it is normal wear. The Brass fixture needs cleaning and polishing. The switch is marked HUBBLE. Nice Antique Brass & Slag Mission Arts & Crafts Light Fixture Glass Sconce c1915
SquareTrade © AP6.0 UP FOR AUCTION IS: Rare Antique Brass& Slag Outside Mission Arts& Crafts Period Light Fixture Sconce circa 1915- ITEM DESCRIPTION- Up for auction is a wonderful antique Brass& Slag Outdoor Mission Style Light Fixture. This high quality round cone shaped arts& crafts period lamp is in good shape for its age. It came from a covered porch of an exquisite house built in the mid 1910s. It still has the original wiring and will need to be rewired. The brass is lacquered and shows signs of weather and wear and some of the bare brass is exposed on the edges and other spots. There is some light paint overspray on this piece but it wouldn't take much to remove it especially if you were going to restore it. The overspray shows well in the photos but is not really that noticeable in person. I have had this ... morefor many years and was going to restore it but have way too many other projects at hand so its time to let it go. The brass is thick and this light fixture is heavy duty weighing in at 2 pounds 13 ounces. The brass pull switch light socket is a 1910 to 1916 Hubbell(raised bead& 250W. with curved font) and the pull switch is smooth and clicks as it should when you pull the cord. The brass pull chain has an acorn on the bottom. There are no cracks or chips in the textured caramel colored slag. The outer arm sleeve looks to be made of copper with a sturdy threaded iron pipe to hold it securely on the wall and the curled horn shaped part of the arm is made of brass. This fixture stands about 10" tall overall and is just over 6 5/8" diameter at the bottom. The chain hangs just about 10" from the bottom of the fixture and the total length of the arm(including threads) from the wall is about 6 3/4" to the center of the fixture. ANTIQUE FRENCH FEDERAL EAGLE BRASS 3 ARM CRYSTAL CANDLE WALL SCONCE CANDELABRA
We are pleased to offer this antique. French Empire, Federal, brass wall candle sconce. This beautiful sconce features ornate brass with gilt finish. It has an abundance of detailing. The top of the sconce features a bow of ribbon and pendulum. Below it are two eagles facing opposite direction. The mid section has ornate and finely detailed floral and leaf pattern. There are three arms with an incised"cut" design. Each arm houses a single candle and each bobeche houses 6 crystals. There are a total of 18 crystals on the sconce. The bottom is finished with the repeated ribbon and bow design. The sconce is quite nice with only minor signs of age. It appears that the hanger on the back has been replaced with a more modern version at some point. This is an exceptional sconce with a beautiful, finely detailed pattern and design.
