Antique Primitive Barn Door Rollers on Piece of Barn Wood ~ Unique
I am selling an old antique barn door roller attached to an old piece of barn wood. The markings on the door roller say"Myers Stayon" adjustable. Ashland O.U.S.A. Pat'd Feb 26 07" The numbers 2969 and `1688 are also embossed on the cast iron material. HEAVY. I'm assuming the date of manufacture is 1907. Or possibly 1807. I may end up clipping the point of the wood to make it straight across to help it fit into a box and not be so pointy for shipping. Did I mention that this is quite HEAVY. This is an original work on paper by listed New York and Ohio artist George Vander Sluis(1915-1984) He did an interesting mix of abstract and Western art. Not a common combination. This is a great eye catching image that is titled Barn Door and dated 1965. The writing on the backing says it is Polymer. It is signed in pencil and dated 65 in the lower right. Very good condition, unframed, it measures 17 1/4" by 14 1/4" I am clearing out a bunch of my collections, unusual items, reference books, art etc in the next couple of weeks so check my other auctions, Please refer to the photos and ask questions. Pr. 24" ANTIQUE IRON HINGES-Blacksmith Forged- Barn Door Hinge-Garden-Farm-Gate
Offered today is a pair of old hand-forged hinges which are approx. 24" long and 2" wide at the widest point. Complete with 2 mounting pintles which are approx. 9" long. They are embellished with beveled edges and the classical"bean ends" These hinges were hand forged one at a time and show typical. Slight variations-i.e. there is a 3/16" difference in the length of the hinges and approx. 1/2" difference in the length of the pintles(which will be in the wall) They have been lightly cleaned and painted and show a little light pitting on the front and heavier pitting on the backside-not visible when installed. These blacksmith made hinges have forge-welded pintle holes and hot punched bolt holes-1 square and 2 round holes on each. Many possible uses around the house, farm, shop, vineyard, or garden, etc.

You are considering a(1) vintage horse barn gate/door that I salvaged from andold barn along with posts and rails. I believe the gates to be oak covered in worn white paint. Some of them still have hinges. Latches and the horse name plate attached. Your winning bid allows you to choose the one you want. I have 11 gates total.
