It is very heavy, and rusty, and will need cleaned up, as it is dusty and dirty It has a long curved hook like bolt that is attached, along with some other things that have bolts holding them in place. These do not slide or move, and I am not sure if they are supposed to or not. I am illiterate when it comes to this stuff! If they are supposed to mive, they are rusted too much. The one with the long bolt through it is tilted, and I don't know if it is supposed to be that way or not. This one is unusual compared to the ones currently on Ebay. The two rollers are mounted on substantial door mounts(see photos) Two eight foot roller bars are included. These bars are designed to be mounted to allow a continuous sixteen foot roller track(see photo) because one roller track has a curved indent into which the other tracks curved nub fits perfectly. The original 8 square end door attachment nuts/bolts are included also. This is not a rescued piece of debris. This setup is functioning perfectly, and was only removed to allow a simpler, more"old guy" friendly setup to be installed because I am getting on in years and cannot push the door weight anymore. Pair Vintage Cast Iron Barn Door Trolley Rollers Sliders World's Fair Horse Shoe
I have for auction a pair of Barn Door. Cast Iron, Trolleys/Sliders/Rollers. Whatever the name you know them by, they were removed from a barn tear down and until their removal moved the door on the barn. They are a horse shoe shape and are marked World's Fair 2. Other then paint loss they are in good condition. The roller still rolls easily. They are 10" across the top and approximately 10 3/4" long. They are heavy weighing over 7 pounds. Where the paint has worn off there is surface rust, but no areas are rusted through. They need a sanding& repaint, or leave them primitive if you choose. Please view the photos for condition. Antique Heavy Duty Set Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers w/ 8' Track Blacksmith Nails
A very nice piece this is an antique set of two heavy duty barn door rollers complete with it's original 8' track and 13 blacksmith made nails we pulled out of the barn when we took everything down. It is complete and ready to install but some of the nails need straightened and the one roller wheel has a broken flange and it will need to be replaced. This is very simple to do. Drill or grind off the one rivet head I am pointing two and the wheel just slips out. You will need another similar 3" wheel to take its place, I would think a 3" pulley bought here on Ebay or at a home improvement store will work perfect. I am listing this as a 24 hour auction starting at half the price of the others here on Ebay. If it doesnt sell I am going to replace the $8 wheel and it will sell for much more. It doesnt matter what it looks like ... morebecause it will never be seen when the door is on the track. This was in a 120 year old barn that was recently torn down and while it has a rusty patina on the track, the doors at one time were painted red then white as those colors are on the rollers. The nails are very brittle so be gentle straightening them out. You set the price on this one as it goes to the last bidder! Starts at $150 and ships for only $30, may be a little more to the West Coast and the S.W. States. Sorry but I cant do Alaska or Hawaii. Please if there is a problem let me know. Up for auction is a used pair of antique cast iron Myers stay-on barn door rollers/trolley in good condition. One of the rollers has a minor crack on the back side just above the stay-on hook shown in the last picture. This in no way has anything to do with how well the roller works or with nor does it weaken the frame at all. The stay-on hook was designed to hook the bottom of the track to keep the roller from jumping off in case the door took a hop or in heavy wind. The roller will work perfectly with this minor crack. The raised cast letters are clear and easy to read. They have been lightly cleaned. Both hangers are solid with no rust through. Both rollers turn freely. For sale we have a nice antique pair of"BIG 4" barn door Rollers and Track. The track is made up of one six foot cast iron piece and one three foot cast iron piece with the male& female puzzle knotches on each end of both. So the total track length measures slightly over 9 feet. Track is solid, rollers pivot and pulley wheels turn well. Replaced the one C.I. wheel in the one as the existing wheel had been cracked in the back of it. New C.I. wheel is 3-1/2" diameter while the Big 4 with the original wheel is only 3" diameter so when mounting on your door you will have to make the 1/2" adjustment. Nice rust patina throughout. Track had been painted light grey at one time when they re-painted the Barn. This is the real thing not a modern reproduction!
