The 5 shades are a clear and frosted/ etched glass with a leaf design and in great condition. The light has new sockets and wiring. gold cloth wiring from the fixture to the ceiling. The chandelier measures approximately 17 inches wide with the shades and 21 inches long from the canopy to the finial with all the chain attached. You could remove 6 inches of chain. The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The metal components have been sanded and repainted a glossy white. I personally don't know if it is Murano or not. I have been unsuccessful researching this chandelier, for country origin and maker. The chandelier captures your visual and artistic senses. With its Stunning Design, Old World Craftsmanship, and the Extraordinary Quality of Iridescent Glass. The chandelier has unique and elegant glass shapes. There are 5 iridescent'honey color' glass antler shapes. as I describe them) with 5 iridescent'floral shaped' glass globes. The thickness of the glass is between 1 eight and 1 quarter of an inch. With the exception of the wiring.this chandelier is pristine. There are no chips. Cracks, or breaks on any of the metal or glass parts. See example on last picture, divine frosted pink pressed-moulded glass shade in the taste of Degué, I couldn't find any signature but some glassware from this era was unsigned. The"stem" of the shade carries a typical Art Déco pattern with stylized flowers and shows minimal wear to the nickel plating, commensurate with age. We deal in a lot of lighting. But this is one of the most exceptional fixtures I've ever seen. The fixture looks like iron with a copper or brass inlay. It has some paint on it, but much of it is worn off. It's an extremely well made fixture, the quality is excellent. It weighs about 12 pounds. It's in excellent working condition and appears to have newer wiring. The fixture is very primitive in that it's not perfectly"true" One of the arms is slightly bent, there are some screws loose, the trays below the candelabras are moveable. None of this affects the use of the light. One of the candle holders has a chip in it. The fixture ... morehas an aged, vintage patina. There are certain areas(like around the lights and near canopy) that appear rusty but it's not rust; it's part of the copper/brass inlay. Please use zoom feature to see details in all photos. It has a pendulum that swings from the bottom. The design on it is reminiscent of an old renaissance/medieval church or the Spanish Revival. I have a second matching fixture if you need 2 of these. This has normal wear to the finish you would expect but it is mostly on the bottom round disc and the price is greatly discounted so you can have it copper plated or painted or leave it as is. As you can see it is working. These are normally found installed in Banks and Upscale Homes. The FRAGILE Glass Shade has an alabaster appearance with a filigree banding surrounding the top edge. It's just beautiful to see in person. And this is a signature of a high end Gill MFG light. The shade is held to the fixture by three adjustable chains which are attached to a metal shade below the glass shade. The fixture has a aged copper finish and features fluted column sides. When Lit. French Art Deco Chandelier lamp c1920 Bronze, Pate de verre, ex- Chateau France
Instantly recognisable as early French Art Deco. In nickel plated bronze with pate de verre shades, this beautifully detailed 4-light chandelier is enchanting and imposing, without being too large for pratical use. From the tip of the central, geometric pressed, frosted pate de verre shade to the detailed ceiling fitting is aprox 31" 80cms) And from the edge of one of the three pate de verre tulipes. Across the chandelier it is aprox 15" 40cms) Meaning that although this once hung in a grand chateau it doesn't need such a vast space to be enjoyed. The detailing to the three arms supporting the outer lights is particulary impressive. Representing feathers and their elevated angle suggesting wings in flight- quite engaging once hung high above. The wiring(which functions but may need updating) is hidden inside the three hexagonal ... morerods which run from the ornate ceiling rose to the main body. In very good condition. Vintage 1930 1940 Art Deco large glass shade chandelier
For sale is a beautiful 1930 1940 Art Deco glass chandelier. It is about 24 inches long from canopy to tip of finial on shade. The shade itself measures about 16 inches wide and about 4 inches deep. The shade has a raised floral design on the outside and is painted and off white inside. It is in excellent shape without any chips. Or cracks. The fixture has a completely reconditioned fixture with a three bulb holder. The bulb holders are new as well as the wiring. The bulb holders have two glass sections that are added to the fixture. These sections and all of the fixture except for the wiring, bulb holder, and chain are original to the fixture. The fixture is connected to a new chrome color chain that is in return connected to a beige painted metal canopy. The new wiring extends another 19 inches beyond the canopy in case you may want to ... morelower the fixture. This allows you to just add chain to the desired length and not have to touch the wiring. Up for auction is this lovely jewelry suite of Sterling silver and marcasite. Consisting of a pair of chandelier earrings, a brooch and the centerpiece necklace which consists of three subtantial panels of in a floral motif adorned with marcasites. The earrings were converted by me to ear wires. The original screw back pieces will come with the set so you can change them back if you prefer. When I wore it. It was earwires. I trust them more and it seems to add to the movement of earrings, creating even more sparkle. I had always thought of having the brooch set on a bracelet chain of some sort but never got around to checking with a jeweler to see what they could come up with. Just a thought here.
