My guess would be from the 1950s to the 1960s. DIMENSIONS: Wing-tip to wing-tip is 24” X 22” long X 11” tall. MATERIALS: The airplane’s outer body. Old Antique Amethyst Sun Purple Glass Lightning Rod Weathervane Ball 4-1/2"
Estate find! Nice old amethyst or sun purple lightning rod ball. It measures approximately 4-1/2 inches in diameter. See photos for condition/details. It shows age from years of use. There are the expected swirls and air bubbles in the glass. But no cracks or damage; just the expected nips around the collars and the inside can use a cleaning. Your lightning rod ball will be packed with care and shipped fully insured. Most of the items we sell are estate finds. And are presented to you in, as is, as found condition. Antique Iron Weather vane with Pheasant and Arrow. Pheasants are rare and hard to find. The base seems to be missing a part but if you are creative you will find a way to mount this. Appears to be quite old. There is some sort of stamp under the top center of the piece but it is not legible. Measures: 20.5 inches in height and 17.5 wide.

Antique Copper PELICAN Weathervane
This auction displays an antique copper weathervane of a PELICAN. The pelican alone stands 20 1/4" tall. From the top of the head to the bottom of the webbed foot, and another inch to the bottom of the prop shaft. Widthwise, from the tip of the tail across to the end of the bill is 22 1/4" with the perch sticking out another 3/4" at the rear. The pelicans thickness is approx. 1 3/8" With the whole unit put together, it stands 37" tall. The main prop rod measures 25 1/2" long, and has an adjustment ring around it. The large copper ball measures 3 3/4" tall, and 4" wide. The small copper ball measures 2" tall, and 2 1/2" wide. The metal north& south piece measures 17 3/4" long. Antique Rooster Weathervane Bronze & Cast Aluminum *Full Bodied*
i Up for Auction: Revisions were made to the pics today. Monday June 3rd. An Antique Full Bodied Rooster Weathervane. The Rooster appears to be Bronze. The Rooster has a Nice Patina about it as you can see in the pics. The cast aluminum. Which I'm calling it, is in remarkable condition. There are places where the aluminum shows through as shown in the pics due to years of service and weather situations like large hail stones and other debris which may have come in contact with it. The height of the entire weathervane from the roof to the top of the Rooster is 40" The Rooster is 10" tall and 8 1/2" wide. The Arrow is 33" acrossed. The direction indicators are 19" acrossed. The letters are 3 7/8" tall. The arrow and the stem has a"hammered" look to it. The Rooster has a seam in it from the breast ... moreup over the head and than opens up at the tail which was intentional. This is what is called a full bodied Rooster. This very nice rooster weathervane came from the estate of my Grandparents. This has been on their barn for as long as I can remember and I'm just shy of 60 years old. My understanding is they bought the house in and around 1947. There is no way that I can't verify whether the weathervane was on the barn when they bought it or not. I see no markings on the weathervane that might give away the date of it. Also. There is no way that I could know whether or not this has ever been repainted. Antique Hunting Dog Weathervane/circa 1900-1920
This is a really sweet. Antique sheet iron weathervane of a hunting dog. I would say it dates to the early 1900s- 1900 to 1920 or so. It could even be earlier. I don't see any evidence of old paint, so I assume this is the original, now quite weathered, surface. There is a rod that extends forward on the mounting fixture. I don't know what that was for but the end of it is through the mounting piece and seems to have a finished end nib where it come out the other side, indicating to me that it is not broken, and meant only to extend forward. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the directionals. Overall the vane is 27" long, including the rod. It is 14&1/2" high from the end of the mounting pole to the top of the dog's head. From the tip of the dog's nose to the end of the base it sits on is about 17. The mounting ... morepole is 6" long and is attached to the base with a single old rivit. Condition of the vane is as found and as shown. There is an old break where the front foot meets the base(see pictures) I believe it's an easy fix- a quick weld will do the trick. The edges of the iron are beautifully smooth- indicating excellent age and exposure to the elements. I guarantee this is not a fake or recent reproduction and will take it back if the buyer is not satisfied that it is right. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a genuine antique vane from the the first part of the 20th century. Please look at all my photos for the best idea of condition. US ship only. There are hacksaw cuts where the two brass rods intersect, It looks like someone was trying to remove it and didn't know what they were doing. Here is an amazing Antique Trotting Horse Copper Weathervane just removed from a central Illinois Farm estate where it has been since about 1890 or so according to the previous owner. This amazing piece of history has a beautiful patina and stands about 10 1/4 feet tall! The Base measures 30" x 30" and is 3/8" steel. The 3/8" steel base will most likely be too heavy to ship but the rest of the tower with built in mounting bracket can be partially dismantled for shipping anywhere in the United States. The horse measures 27 1/2" from its tail to its nose. This weathervane can be mounted on the ground or on a structure. Vintage Weathervane Antique lightning rod Ball 21" Country Decor Farm Copper
For your consideration I have two copper lightening rods. They measure 21" tall. They do feature quite a bit of patina from years of being out in the elements but could be cleaned up nicely. The mounting brackets look as though they have been painted silver at some point. They both feature two rings with screws to hold the lightening ball in place. One goes on top and the other on the bottom of the ball. I am including a ball with each rod. One is a very pretty Easter purple color and the other is white. The balls are not cracked throughout but do exhibit some chips around the top and bottom rims as most all balls do. The rest of the ball is great condition. I do not have caps that go around the top and bottom rims of the balls. You do not need them but if you would like they can be purchased fairly inexpensive on Ebay. Antique Star Burst Weathervane Lightning Rod Topper Nova Flare, Brass Finial End
This great looking star burst brass lightning rod topper has it's original patina. I could find no makers mark. But these are not seen anymore and I think it dates back to the late 1800's. The star tips are sharp and I just can tell it's very old. This is being sold in antique condition, as shown in the photos. Nothing is hidden. The star burst topper is 8 3/4 inches high and 4 3/8 inches wide at the star. This is a very decorative topper and I'm sure it was more expensive than the norm when originally sold.

These are 4 Shinn Lightning Rods- Wrought iron stands with copper lightning rods. Ornate white milk glass balls that have W.C. Shinn, Lincoln, NE embossed on them. Also includes ornate cast wind vane with red glass"Shinn" insigna. Three of the glass balls are in very good shape with the normal chips on the edges. Here we have a estate find very old antique Weathervane rooster. Im not sure if its all hand hammer or if its copper brass or bronze nor its exact age you collectors will be the judge. I can tell you its very very old i could not find another one like it any ware on the computer. It looks like the person who owned it has a old drill bit and screw it on to a old antique block of solid wood. It does screw off its not welded on the drill bit. When you look at the bottom ware screw threads are it begins with a white metal but then it turns into a brass color metal so thats why i my self think its solid brass or bronze but again you collectors will be the judge. Please see the very close up picture of the threads and you will see exactly what i mean about the threads turning into a brass color after the first 4 or 5 threads. If any one can tell ... moreme any information about it please do. From the point of his beck to the tail its around 16 1/2 inches long. then from top of tail to bottom of tail its almost 10 inches long. then from his belly to top of his head around 12 inches tall then from one side of his body to other side its around 3 1/4 inches fat. Then when sitting on the block from the bottom block of wood to the top of the head its around 26 1/2 inches tall. The wood base it self is 2 1/2 inches thick and left to right around 6 1/2 and front to back around 6 inches long. Still in very good solid condtion i do not see anything broken at all. Again if any one can please tell me who made this and its exact age and what its made of i thank you very much for your help. This was found from the same estate sale as my old antique Gothic chandeliers plus a very old hunting duck hat with old pins on it that i have listed on ebay please have a look at them if you like. Here's a Great Antique 19th Century American Running Horse Weathervane with Copper Body and Cast Iron Head. Offered at NO RESERVE! The weathervane measures approximately 24 and 1/4" long and stands about 15" tall. For the age and use it's in Very Good Condition; it has a variegated verdigris and rust patination which to me looks phenomenal. The head is rusty but solid, and there appear to be several filled holes here and there. Under the head the seam is split somewhat but that could be repaired. Of course there are dents, dings, and so forth, but nothing I would rate as being negative. As far as the history, it came off a barn in Fair Haven, NJ, which was built in the 1870s, and remained in the same family until I acquired it recently. Although I'm not sure how old it is. I'm guessing early part of the 20th century. The paint on the rooster itself is real chalky and appears to be chalk paint. It will come off on your hands. The rooster is a heavy cast aluminum and is thick-bodied. Not slender like most. The rest of it is a cast iron base and a metal tube. It has a long bolt through it. The rooster looks like it used to thread on there but it is now loose and will come off. This would be a great decorative piece as it just has that"look" to it. It measures about 18 1/2 inches tall overall and the rooster is about 8 1/2" long. Has all original patina and we did not even wash this beauty. The cast scrolling and arrow are very ornate. There is two original holes in the tail end. Stem, that are spaced apart by 5" for the cow/horse/rooster adornation. The lightning rod shown in picture#2 is not included in this lot.
