This item has an arched mirror with a beveled edge that is topped with reeded trim. Below the mirror are beautiful blue and white antique tiles. The tiles are in great condition. There are a few small faded spots on some of the tiles and a couple of hairline cracks. The backsplash sits on top of a nice white marble top. The marble has a beveled ... moreedge and there are no breaks. Chips or cracks in the marble. The marble is smooth to the touch however it needs polished to return the glossy finish. The base has 3 dovetail drawers with reeded fronts and brass bail style pulls. The legs are turned and sit on casters. There is an open shelf on the bottom for storage. One post that supports the mirror on top has a split however it doesnot appear to go all the way through the wood. I do not know the maker or exact date this piece was made. This piece would make a beautiful country style buffet server, sideboard or vanity. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This piece measures 55 1/8 inches tall, 48 inches side to side and 25½ inches front to back. It weighs 150 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. ANTIQUE PERSIAN ISLAMIC TURKISH MAMELUK IZNIK KUFIC SELJUK TILE
I am not entirely certain of the region of origin of this Islamic calligraphic tile. Although I believe it to be Persian, 18th century. The piece is fitted into what I believe is a lead frame, although whether originally made this way or a later addition I can't tell. It measures just under 8" square(20cm) The tile itself is almost invisibly rejoined across the middle from two pieces, which I have tried to capture in the last photograph(you will see a tiny hairline visible running pretty much across the center, although you have to look very hard to spot it. Because i am uncertain of the origin, I am offering this piece simply as a decorative item and have priced it accordingly. I am sure that some of you will instantly know what the piece is(and will be able to read the inscription, which I cannot. Offered here is a very fine ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU-VICTORIAN TRANSFER PRINT CERAMIC ART TILE. POSSIBLY MANUFACTURED BY T. R. BOOTE, ENGLAND, CIRCA 1890'S. This tile measures 6 inches by 6 inches. On the front face it has two very small"flea bites" or chips in the right side corners. Underneath. There are two larger chips in the left-hand corner, but these chips do not show on the surface. The design of this ART TILE looks like a classic Lily with green leaves. The tile has corner designs in a brown color. On the back there is no name or manufacturer name that I can see. There are concentric rings with the outer ring having a mark of the letter"D" in a circle. I believe this is the mark and style of T& R Boote. Please see photos for additional details. Victorian Antique Ceramic Tile Large IRIS Dates 1902 - 1909 Made in England
Here is a white tile with brown art work from the Victorian Era(the close up photo is closest to the actual color) It has a large picture of an Iris and its buds and leaves. It is a 6" by 6" tile. Marked England on the back. There are also numbers on the back: 5050(in red) 0, and 91. There is a piece of paper taped on the back that gives this information: H. Richards 1902- 09. The dates 1902- 09 is also written in pencil on the back. The on damage that I can see is a chip on a petal of one of the side flowers. It is the one on the right as you look at the picture. Again, please look at the close up photo to see it. It blends in on the larger pictures, but it is there. Please look carefully at the photos for the best idea of condition and design. This tile weighs almost 13 ounces(unpacked) I have been asked about the high shipping fee for expedited shipping and I know as a buyer. I get shocked by those prices, too. eBay is now"encouraging" sellers to put expedited shipping as a first choice. I try to have First Class as a second choice so it seems more manageable. I put a figure for weight to cover a range of weights because the boxes weigh so much and I might find a sturdier yet stronger box in which to pack the item after I list it, so my prices can't be absolute. I do refund anything over fifty cents and I've being doing that using the less expensive online prices(quotes given to you by eBay were not online prices) I'm not sure everyone does it that way. ANTIQUE DELFT CASTLE TILE For sale is one beautiful early Dutch Delft tile decorated with an unusual castle design. The tile is framed with a newer Dutch oak tile frame. As often occurs with these tiles. There are some chips and dings hidden by the frame. Noticable outside the confines of the frame are two chips on the side and one on the top. There is no maker's mark. The tile measures approximately 5" X 5" and the frame dimensions are 6 1/2" X 6 1/2" I am also selling a similar tile from the same time period under a different listing. Measurements: Tile is approximately 5" X 5" and outer frame dimensions of frame are 6 1/2" X 6 1/2" Age: Based on my research. I believe the tile dates sometime between 1690-1790. Condition: All items are sold"as is" There is glaze crazing.
