A wonderful pair of candlesticks/candelabras with 5 sconces. Silver on copper. Unknown maker but probably English dating around 1910. These have been cleaned but some tarnishing remains. Please see also the photo showing one sconce has a small piece of copper showing through. Beautiful twisted design. Standing 22cm tall approx. Delivery will be sent using a secure traceable service. Antique 19th century earlier tole Mirror wall Sconces Distressed & Fashionable
The sconces measure about 13 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide. They are heavily oxidized and the mirrors are completely distressed. One sconce is weak where it meets the drip pan edge that runs vertical in a semicircular form. The bobeche or candle holder tabs go through the bottom and are soldered in place. They are roughly 9 1/4" tall by 4 3/8" The arms stick out about 8 1/2" from the wall. They are not identical in size or weight(each weigh over 3 pounds) Also on one of them the back is concave and the other is flat. Wonderful warm tones to the metals of these 2 handmade sconces. Created by the world famous reproduction lighting company'S. Wilder& Co' est. In 1836. Both purchased& installed 1985. Giving both the pleasant coloring that can only be reproduced by time and the sun S. Wilder does not offer the copper fan in this size anymore. They used to offer most lights in small or large size and still do on the brass one, the other disappointment I found, was the shape of the'fan' style sconce, it is more of an oblong shape opposed to the round shape of both of these. g564 Antique Pair Of Cast Iron Outdoor Wall Sconces
Bases are 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" They stand out from the wall 7 1/2" and there 6 1/4" tall with out the globe. Globe fitters are 3 1/4" in diameter inside. Sconces are rusty and have been painted a bunch. Screws will have to be drilled out. There rusted in. The sconces are a little different in that one slides in and out and the other one does not and there is a little difference in design. Please see pictures. All of the lamp parts. That we have, are as found. No attempt has been made to clean or or polish them. They come with the tarnish, any grime and paint that we couldn't just brush off. Most of them are used, antique, vintage etc. Some have been polished(I didn't do it) Any major flaws etc. will be noted in listing. Minor scraches and little dents may be present. Most of the electric parts are"as is" ... moreand have not been tested. Most will need to be rewired. From an estate. Unknown maker. 2 matching motif brass electric wall sconces as shown. The 1 shown on the right has had the bulb socket replaced at some point in time. As it is a newer model from LEVITON and you can see it is shinier than the other. Both sockets are the 3-way type. The shades measure +/ 4-1/2"l x 4-3/4" diameter and are undamaged. There are a few bubbles in glass. The sconces, w/o shades, measure +/ 7" out from wall x 10-1/2" top-bottom x 2-1/2"w. As-they-are, as-found.
