They have bows with trailing ribbons and a curving fluted arm that hold the pretty crimped and frilled glass lampshades that have a lovely peachy tint around the bottom. Both the shades are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. They have been re-wired at some time and are in good working order. There are two screw holes on the rear of each sconce for wall fixing and they measure 9 ins in height and stand out from the wall 9 ins. And the bows are just over 4 ins wide. Antique and original pair of Art Nouveau brass piano candle sconces. Or wall sconces. These sconces swivel on the piece that mounts to the wall. The y both have hard to read marks on the back- looks like DEP.MUSTER. Each scon ce stands out from the wall about 9 3/4 inches(24.8 cm) The flat piece that mounts to the wall measures about 4 3/4 inches(12.1 cm) top to bottom and 2 3/4 inches(7 cm) across at the widest point. Some points on condition: the pins on which these sconces swivel are different and likely not original. There is some pitting and greenish oxidation(see pictures) also some very small age/stress cracks that do not affect either the look or structural integrity of these sconces. Antique Art Deco Hammered Metal Light Wall Sconces(2) Flowers Acanthus Leaves These are old and worn but beautiful. They are dirty and would look much better if just cleaned. The back pieces that fits against the wall appear to be hammered-are fluted around the outside edges-are oval shaped and measure 7 1/2 in. from top to bottom- 4 in. across. There are scrolled wrought iron pieces that extend outward 5 in. that have 2 small 4 petal flowers bolted to the back piece. One end of the scrolled iron piece holds the socket for the bulb- the socket is covered by 6 acanthus leaves that are fitted together. The socket is made of white porcelain and brass-has a pull chain-not sure how the pull chain works the way it fits-the brass is covered with a cardboard insert that is marked American- all of the socket pieces are covered by a cardboard cover ... morethat looks like a dripping candle. The paint on the scones looks original-colors are a dark bluish green-copperand beige. Sconces measure 10 in. from top to bottom. There are old wires on the backsides. These wall lights are QUALITY and are a Heavy Gilt Bronze. These are NOT your thin brass type. This is a Beautiful set! These are High QUALITY and all solid bronze, I believe they are French origin. Notice the Art Nouveau pattern on the back plates, the heavy solid brass leaf cartouches on arm and surrounding the sockets. I have never seen a set quite like this before. These do have small holes on the leaf surrounding the sockets, not sure why, possibly mount for shade or prisms.The sockets have been updated at one time as they are not original. This a nice(set of 3) Single Arm Brass Wall Sconces dating back to the 1920's. The sconces have been rewired and are ready to be installed. On the shade hangers by the switches they have a little dent on the slot where the switch comes out as shown in picture 7 but. In overall good condition. The sconces measure 4" wide and 9" from top of sconce to bottom of shade.

Antique/Vintage Deco Sconces-Ornate Pair
This pair of sconces measures 16 1/2" in height. And 9 1/2" in width. They are made of cast iron, with a bronze type patina. I was told they were original to a home built in 1921, in the Chicago area. They are unique and ornate. I have only cleaned them with water and a brush. You can see in the last few pictures the finish that has aged and some of the original wiring that I did not remove. They could be left as is or re-wired and restored. very good condition considering age(not sure exactly around 1940's my guess sockets may have been replaced or rewired plastic insulation) one glass globe has tiny chip on top but also has the frosted look so my have come from factory. 3/8" thick glass. frosted and hand painted. globes are 7 1/2" tall 5" wide and 4" deep. sconces are light weight pot metal or aluminum not sure non magnetic. they are dark brown. not sure if original paint but they do match shades. they measure 9 3/8 x 5 1/2. very ornate. no markings that i can see except on leviton sockets/switches. one is missing switch nob but still seems to work.

When I first saw these I thought they were wrought or cast iron, but after looking closer and a magnet not sticking I realized they were solid cast brass. If you look at one of the pictures I scraped away some of the finish on the backside of one of the fixtures to show you the brass. Both marked N.L. S. Co. and with a patent date of 1924. All complete with mounting loop on the backside. Porcelain Sockets, One is Bryant which is probably original and one is Leviton which was probably a replacement and one point in time. The sockets are rough with years of dirt and grime on the inside but I think they could be cleaned up and reused. I notice two colors of paint on these over the brass. Antique PAIR ELECTRIC CANDLE WALL SCONCES w/ Pull Chain Sockets ~ P & S patented
These are two very old electric candle wall sconces. Probably made between 1900 and 1920's. The inner cardboard inside the candle outer board says P& S patented. 250 W, 250V and I have shown a picture of the inner workings. Plates are 4 1/2" in diameter; sconce about 5" from the wall and 7 1/2" from top to bottom. These sconces are a restorer's dream! They have a metal backing which with the easily pealing paint looks possibly bronze; seems too lightweight for brass. It appears in very good condition where paint has pealed. I think carved wood connects backing to electric candle holder but could be metal. Both chains are present although only one presently works. Once restored these will be two beautiful electrical candle sconces. I am sure I have underpriced them. Any additional information from E-bay buyers would ... morebe welcome. Antique Architectual Pair Wall Sconces Unique, Gothic, Steampunk great patina!
I found these at an estate sale a few years back with the intent of repurposing them. But after looking at them more closely, I decided they should remain intact. The brackets are wrought iron and the metal could be bronze, copper or tin. I really don't know. The metal is light. They have a floral pattern on them and the patina is very nice on the outside so I never tried to clean them up. The inside shows rust(no holes) and some candle wax. These had some other fixture on them at one time. There is a bracket on one side that something would clamp into and the opposite side has a bracket with a small hole in it. I show pictures of these. They are not electrical and I cannot find a maker's name on them. The wrought iron brackets are 4 3/4" long and 6 1/2" wide. The metal shades are 6" round and 3" tall. Antique Cast Iron & Metal Electrified Wall Sconces Porcelain Light Bulb Sockets
Pair of matching antique electrified wall sconces. Bulb holders are porcelain. Base of sconces(portion that goes on wall) measure a little over 6-1/2" side to side by a little over 5" top to bottom. Round metal where socket is measures just a tad under 5" in diameter. One of the wall sections has the outer portion pulling loose a bit on one sconce. These would obviously need new wiring as these are very old. There is paint missing all over both sconces. I'm sure they could be repainted. Both of the sconces have three holes with screw like pieces. Both have one of the screw like pieces missing. One of the sconces has a small dent and can be seen in photo(I believe it's photo#4) I tried to list all defects. Please view all photos to see condition. I am stating these sconces do have flaws.
