Here's a fabulous matching pair of authentic antique Mediterranean Spanish Revival wall sconce light fixtures. Each fixture measures one foot long, 8" wide and 7" out from the wall. Heavy wrought iron, they were hand made to install directly onto the wall and they have a great Gothic designer look. Lots of twists and curls. The wiring is original and they still have the original bakelite on/ off switches. These are super rare. And were purchased at an estate sale in Coral Gables, Florida, so they are probably from an original George Merrick house. The light fixtures show signs of minor wear, some scratches and rust. Up for offer today a rather unique and rare pair of sconces. These sconces came out of an estate in Brussels Belgium. This estate was build in the 1930's and the interior was sold at an auction. These sconces were original installed in the late 1930's. These kind of sconces were only installed in the higher class of houses at the time. These are very high quality bronze sconces. Florentina Handcrafted Wooden Sconces Antique Gold Painted Finish Made in Italy
Pair of vintage hand crafted wooden sconces made by Florentia of Florence Italy. These sconces are painted with an antique gold finish and are approx 10.5" tall. 8.25 wide at the widest point and 4" at the deepest point. There are three hooks attached to the back for hanging. Each sconce has an antiqued gold matt finish with an aged appearance almost as if the gold is worn. I suspect that the item was painted with the antique gold paint and then some of the paint was then wiped off. There is a hairline crack near the bottom(see 3rd photo) that does not distract from the beauty of the sconce nor does it impede its function. They are very attractive pieces and would be very nice on either side of a special painting/mirror, for displaying favorite figurines or for other object g'arte. Here's a Great Pair of 1920s Gothic Sconces with Wonderful Original Paint and Finish. Offered at NO RESERVE! These sconces came from a mansion in Rumson, NJ, colloquially known as"The Castle" and long since torn down. I was able to purchase most of the lighting from the home, and there was amongst it work by Oscar Bach, while the ornamental iron work was done by Samuel Yellin. What a place it was. Anyway I'm cleaning out one of my storages and I came across these, they have been sitting around for over 10 years so it's time for them to find a new home. The condition of these is truly outstanding for the age with the original polychrome paint and copper lustre finish. The only minor issue is that one decorative loop is missing on one, they hang loosely so you could either replace it with something similar, remove all ... moreof them, or replace them with prisms or something else entirely. Notice the detail and workmanship, it's hard to see but in the last photo even the back plates have nicely rendered relief decoration of knights and horse heads. The sconces are signed by the maker, WJW Co. which I'm not familiar with, any help would be appreciated. THE WIRING IS OLD AND A FIRE HAZARD, IT MUST BE COMPLETELY REPLACED BY A PROFESSIONAL LICENSED ELECTRICIAN PRIOR TO USE. The faux candle covers for the sockets are in need of replacement. There are areas, almost all to the backs, where paint got on them(see pictures) there are only a couple small spots in visible areas which may need a bit of remediation, I think they're fine the way they are. Up for consideration is extra fine pair of French Bronze Wall Sconces in original Paint. They measure 15 1/4 inches tall by 10 inches wide by 5 inches deep. They are in incredible condition with fine jewelry quality casting. They are marked numbers on the back please see photos. The sconces are made of gilded bronze with enameled paint. One sconce has been rewired one has original cloth wiring. They date from about 1910. Sconces of this style and form do not get much better than this in quality. Up for auction is a lot of antique brass wall sconces with fluted ivory shades. Each sconce measures 10 1/2" long. The bell(wall end) measures 5" in diameter. The OD of the shade fitters is 2 1/8" in diameter. The shades are 4 1/2" tall and the bottom diameter is 5 3/4" There are no dings or dents on the brass but there is some paint specks and drips on them. The shades are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. These sconces will need to be re-wired and one of the mounting fitting is missing. Antique Crystal Prism Flowers from Italian Sconces for Chandelier Repair 3 1/8"
For your consideration is this set of four matching antique 3 1/8" flowers made from crystal prisms that came off of an old pair of Italian sconces. They are tied together with wire and wire does feel secure on all of them. Each teardrop prism is 1 1/2" long. There are some tiny flea bites and a few light scratches on the surfaces of the crystals. There is one crystal that has a 1mm chip on one of the lower facets. Each one of the flowers has four crystals face up and one face down. So it must have been part of their design. The flowers are not quite as bright as the photos appear. OH SO YUMMY PAIR OF SCONCES. This is for a lovely pair of sconces with beaded arms and mirrored backs. They are not electrified and I am not sure if they can be there are no screws inside. However there are holes for wires so you be the judge, perhaps you could glue the sockets in and wire up since there is no screw. I am only selling these because I have a similar pair or I would never part with these macaroni beaded is so hard to find. They are for candles and there is paint loss to the gold areas where you would place the candles so please see photos, I am sure you could touch them up with some gold paint if you wanted to. The mirrored backs have black spotting from age however that just adds to their charm. This is a pair of Murano glass wall scones in the leaf shape. The leaves are 11" plus the bottom part 4" and 6" width of the leaves. They were manufactured by Barovier and Toso in the 40' ar early 50's. Leaves in the Rugiadoso teachnique with scattered fine particles of glass to diffuse light. Both leaves are broken at the base. These hung outside of a residence in Brussels Belgium. On the front door left and right of the door. And left and right on the backside of the house entrance. But covered under a roof of the entrance. So these were protected from the rain etc… The lantern have been painted numerous times over the years, as these hung outside. Very old and ornate metal sconces. I am unsure of metal material. I assume they are brass. I am not a professional in this area of expertise. These are as found condition. There seems to be some slight bending of the metal arms in areas. Please remember these are quite old. The backs have no hangers. So I added wire. With that, I need to add, these do not sit flat against the wall entirely. Also the cups are large. If you are to use a taper candle. The bottom will need to be wrapped so it stays in place. Antique Transitional gas light sconces electric Nickel plated etched shades pair
This wonderful pair of sconces was just removed from an old Victorian home. They are transitional type fixtures which use both gas or electric. They include the original etched shades. The large shade measures about 7 1/2" in diameter. The smaller shades measure about 4" in diameter. The sconces have a nice nickel finish. The will polish up very well. But I left them as found. One sconce has a pull chain switch, the other has a paddle type. Both of the gas valves turn. The wall plate is about 4 5/8" in diameter. The sconces will project about 13" from the mounting surface. overall height will be about 12" when the shades are installed. One of the small fitter rings has a seperation as shown and is missing a mounting screw. Nice old sconces. Thanks for looking.

This is a beautiful set of four antique gas wall sconces. The sconces are metal either brass or bronze with copper pipes to carry the gas. Each wall fixture measures just under 9" tall and just over 4" wide. The piping extends about 5&3/4" from the wall. The wall sconce has an ornate design with a woman's face as the center design. Where the pipe extends there is a floral decoration that almost looks to have an Asian influence this is why I extended the possible circa past the end of the Art Nouveau period and into the 1920s. This may also fall into the Neoclassical even Greek Revival categories. One of the fixtures is missing the collar around the gas spout. There is a small area of loss on three of the sconces to the decoration that extends from the plate to the spout- please see the last two photos for best condition ... moredescription and to note the missing piece. There is some paint wear in spots and they do have some spots where they have a little extra paint on them from someone painting the house they were in. Amazingly. They are complete with all their original parts.including the decorative mounting screws on their fronts! Handsome pairs of antique bronze double-arm sconces. Salvaged out of a home in California and dating from the 1920’s. Each two-tone sconce begins with a convex oval backplate with a twisted border. A scrolling arm extends out from the center of the back plate to support a horizontal bar adorned with leafy details and curling volutes; an understated bobeche sits on either end of the rod.
