It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. Gorgeous antique light fixture. Featuring a cylinder amber glass shade in a brass fixture, four rods with finials on both ends hold the glass shade in place. The fixture is solid brass, it has a brass toned paint on it which is original, this could be stripped however and this would really shine. It has some minor stress marks and dents typical of brass, but nothing major, some wear but could easily be used and displayed as it is. It has been rewired with a porcelain socket and new wiring and could take a 100 watt bulb if desired. Original mounting hardware. The only replacement part on this aside from the socket is the finials on the bottom of the fixture which are new, solid brass- one original finial was missing so they were replaced. I have up for auction this amazing super cool guaranteed old find out of the garage of an old farm estate that I am cleaning out now. The piece is all original and the light works. The scissor arm does operate but could a little lubricant which I will leave up to the new owner. I haven't cleaned or done anything to this piece as I will leave that up to the new owner. The piece even has a wing nut where the light attaches to the scissor arm where you can adjust the light up and down. This is a really gorgeous fixture that features 2 angels or winged cherubs. On each side of the chandelier. This is still a GAS fixture& it's untested. It features a beautiful frosted& clear glass Greek key lamp shade. The shade shows some wear in the frosting& has rough edges(typical of old shades) Other than the bumpy/rough rims and a few bubbles in the glass, there are no chips or cracks. The fixture itself has a vintage, uneven, aged patina. The angels/cherubs have some discoloration/tarnish. They are winged& give the fixture a cool art nouveau, Victorian look. Selling this Antique Art Deco or Nouveau Style Cast Iron 5-Light Ceiling Fixture. It appears to have the original wiring. So I would suggest to have it re-wired to meet today’s electric codes and for safety. Overall the diameter is approximately 15 ½” and the Light Bulb Socket Holes are 6 ⅛” on center from the center of the fixture. It would hand approximately 8” from ceiling as pictured. It is a Beautiful piece with a Brass or Copper color highlighted with Greens in an Art Deco or Art Nouveau design. Maker is unknown. It is in Good pre-owned condition; however is does have a condition issue. One of the ceramic light covers is broken(see pictures) and it is missing the finial. Antique Glass Basket Form Chandelier Ceiling Light Fixture Puffy Wicker & Roses
Offered is a large and wonderful old ceiling fixture in the form of a wicker basket clad with rose garlands. Made of puffed glass. I believe this a Pairpoint shade. It has its frame and fixture. Too, the metal frame being embossed with flowers where it surrounds the. Rim of the shade. And looking like braided wicker trim where it raises to form the hoop over the fixture. The metal looks to have been painted white at one time. But has lost most of its finish. The glass is gorgeous. But has damage: on the bottom rim, there are 2 holes, side by side, which have been patched. With a flexible material that matches in color and that I did not note. The holes are approximately 3" long in total area affected. See photo. Fixture is 16" across. And 9" across at bottom the shade is 8" deep and the fixture is about 17" to hanging ... moreloop. Caramel color with dusty red roses and green leaves and the frame is silvery/grayish. Once white. A super old fixture for a cottage bedroom or kitchen. All of the items I sell are vintage.
