Which are both in working condition. The shade is frosted and has some blemishes(scrapes, discoloration etc. due to age. The chrome has some pitting and discoloration spots. It shows it's age, as this is a vintage fixture. In order to change the bulb. You have to pull on both of the side arms to release the shade(similar to the function of a toilet paper holder) I don't think the switch is original to the fixture. But I think the original looked similar to this, although it may have been a push button. This is a toggle switch. Perfect light to go over a bathroom vanity or it could be hung directly on the ceiling. Try it sideways as a sconce! Many wonderful purposes for this cool retro lights. Antique Old Vintage Belgium Marble Urn Bronze Mounted Bacchus Lamp Light Fixture A wonderful old antique Marble lamp with Bronze mounts and figural Bacchus Heads. The lamp is heavy and very well made. There is an impressed mark on the underside of the base that looks like it reads: MADE IN BELGIUM. It measures in total 1 foot 10 inches high. The marble portion is about 1 foot 3.5 inches high and the lamp is 6 inches wide at the figural heads. I would date the lamp to be 100 +/ years old. 2 ANTIQUE MISSION DECO ARTS & CRAFT SQUARE SCONCE LIGHT FIXTURE SLAG GLASS SHADE
Wow. These are nice! It's really hard to find a pair of square fixtures like this, much less with the slag glass shades! Great pair of brass wall sconces, from the height of the arts and crafts movement- also great in a Mission style or even a Deco setting. The slag glass shades are particularly beautiful when the lights are turned on. Both lights retain original turnkey sockets. One has been rewired, the other still has cloth wiring, both work great. These are very usable but at their age they have some flaws- there is some paint on each as you can see in the photos that you could easily remove. No paint on the shades. They have a wonderful patina. The shades are definitely arts and crafts- they appear to have been hand made, one ring is slightly smaller on top than the other(4th picture from last) and this ring had loose welds so had ... moreto be secured better with epoxy(3rd pic from last) It is very tight now and not an issue. There is a bit of looseness in one fixture"stem" that holds the socket and shade, this should tighten up when the fixture is installed and the mounting hardware is installed in the wall. The"stem" still holds the shade with no issues, as you can see in the photos(I tried to photograph this part 5th photo from the end) 10.5" tall, 7.5" from the wall when installed, and the back plate is 4.5" across. Some parts on the fixtures have patent date of 1911. Once installed these will be truly beautiful! This thing was a rusty old mess but I love the style& thought it was worth saving. It is made of pressed metal. It was scraped to bare metal. Primed and painted with a hammered texture. The finial is original and is solid brass. The socket is new and is also solid brass, not plated. The cord is from a vintage fan& is in good condition. Appears to be a wall-mounted fixture. VTG ANTIQUE ART DECO 1930s 1940s GLASS CEILING FIXTURE 2 LIGHT CHANDELIER Description: This is a beautiful antique semi-flush mount light fixture in excellent condition. The glass shade measures 10" in diameter and other than a couple of small nicks on the top rim. Has no chips or cracks. The fixture hangs about 11" measuring from ceiling to finial. The white glaze looks super, with only a few small flea bites. The fixture takes 2 standard base bulbs and no max wattage is noted on the fixture. This is a hard-wired fixture and I've not been able to test it. It appears to have all original cloth insulated wiring. In good condition. R eplacing the electrical is at the descretion of the buyer. The decorative glass that extends from the canopy is beautiful. With no chips or cracks. The canopy's design matches the glass shade ... morebeautifully. Antique or vintage glass herringbone type ceiling light fixture shade set of 2
Antique or vintage set of 2 matching glass ceiling light fixture shades with herringbone type thin glass. They are the 3 hole mounting type and are in good condition. There are no chips or cracks that I could see. There is some minor chips by the chain mounting holes as seen in the pictures. One of them has had a clear repair by 2 of the mounting holes and it is not easy to see when the chain is installed. They are 10 1/2" across and 5" deep. 30” ANTIQUE WOODEN SHIP HELM WHEEL USED AS OLD CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE
Actual weight 15 pounds. Max dia. at spoke ends is 30 ½ in. Wheel dia. Is 21 in. I picked this up thinking wow what a nice old fixture made to look like a ship wheel. I think now after cleaning the dust and dirt off and photographing it’s a genuine antique unused teak wood ship wheel that was made into a fixture ages ago by someone. Can’t imagine a lamp company would make a wheel of this solid firm high quality just to hold some light sockets just for looks. It is made of solid pinned assembly tight grain wood pieces that all look like teak wood and the hub with a key way are parts of thick solid brass. The tulip like cups around the sockets are hammered finish brass as well everything with original age patina and finish. Antique Vintage Light Fixture Flush Mount Cast Plaster 3 Light
Here is a nice old flush mount ceiling fixture that was found in with a lot of other fixtures so I'm not positive of the age. The fixture is cast plaster with stamped brass socket bells and finial. Based on other fixtures that I've handled. I would estimate this to be from the 1920's-30's. Please note: this will need a complete re-wire. I'm sure that has been painted over the years. Since the back of the fixture is a gold color(see pics) There are a few small nicks/chips along the edge of the fixture where it meets the ceiling but overall it's in good shape(see pics) There is only one socket. The other 2 bells are not attached and have no sockets. There are also a few stress cracks in the bells. This is a Very Interesting Old Cherub Chandelier as found in an attic. It has 5 rather large cherubs sitting on leafs with 5 lights above them. I believe it has it's original finish on the frame but the gold trim looks like it may have been touched up over the years. It has wear some small areas of finiash loss but it is still very nice. This is an old antique brass desk lamp. It is in good working condition. It has it's original patina and has not been polished. It is unique as it not only swivels from side to side. It is articulating and can be raised or lowered.This lamp is very heavy. I think the base is cast iron with a faux marble cover. It has a chip in one corner as shown. There is an E with an arrow thru it on the socket and switch. It weighs 11 pounds without being packaged. There are a few minor dents, but nothing major. Antique Vintage Light Fixture Gas And Electric Hanging Fixture No Shades
Here is a great old gas/electric combo fixture. And all of the gas plumbing appears to be intact. The finish is worn over the entire piece, all components except for the gas plumbing are brass. The gas valves move freely, though there is no wiring at the moment. One of the sockets is frozen, so the pull chain doesn't move. A complete rewire is needed anyway, so all of the issues can be addressed at that time. There are no shades included. And there are 2 fitter screws that are missing. The fitter size is 2 1/4" for the electric, and 1 1/2" for the gas shades. The finial appears to be a replacement(see pics) There is a nipple at the end for mounting/gas connect. But no other bracketry. There is some paint on the canopy as well(see pics) This will be partially disassembled for shipment. Prairie Gothic Antique Light Fixture from Oak Park- Hand-Crafted Architectural Artifact This is a lovely. Handcrafted jewel from Oak Park, Illinois- the hometown of Frank Lloyd Wright and the birthplace of the Prairie Period in architecture and design. This hand-crafted lighting element has a Gothic/ Prairie/ Early Modern sensibility. It is almost certainly from the 1910– 1930 period. It seems to be a light cover or fixture that comprises gold-washed bronze structural element with hand-laid and tinted art glass with lead cames(the lead that holds the art glass together) The bronze elements are expertly cast and joined including the ornamental knobs. Three threaded attachments support the base. I am not saying this is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed piece but I have had experience with Wright's cube light's and other period lighting ... morein an up-close examination and these materials are very similar. The art glass is very similar to original material at Robie House and Unity Temple. Wright loved the hexagon. 8.25 inches high x 4.25 at widest. Fair condition. Slightly loosened cames(leading between art glass) which is typical for its' age. Original gold wash plating and lacquer finish are fugitive. Remnants of wax from later use as votive. Some surface dirt but this should be preserved. Will ship insured.
