The two decorative thumb turning valves work very well. All the gold colored toned portions are brass. The 6" straight nipple is black metal. The smaller brass arm pivots easily from the larger arm. The valve areas are very decorative along with the spiral arm. I did not attempt to buff or clean at any extent. The deep scroll features will stand right out when cleaned. I don't see anything cracked. Broken, or repaired. About 10-1/2" long to the ribbed end for a hose hookup/ About 3" wide x 1" thick at the valves. Up for consideration is an Old Porcelain Wall Mount/Sconce Light Fixture with Outlet in an Off-white Color with a Floral Design. This Item is in used condition. And has spots and areas of paint on it- probably due to painting the room without removing or taping around the fixture. There is what appears to be a chip on the right side of fixture where the bulb would go-although it is smooth and looks like it has glaze like the rest if the fixture-so possibly a flaw in the manufacturing process. This fixture has not been cleaned- only dusted a bit! The Original Label is mostly intact and readable on the back- made by Porcelier. Antique Victorian Brass Electric light fixture, ceiling chandelier, Deco, glass
This auction is for an ornate Victorian or Art Deco looking brass ceiling light. Chandelier style, made to hang on a chain. It was taken from my mother in laws house recently during a remodel, the house was built in 1916 and this is the original living room light. It has three lights, the holders for the bulbs are on ornate arms, and dangle, they are not fixed in place, and they were set up to turn on individually by turning the key on each light. The chain, and ornate key bit on the end are still present as well as a cone like piece, but I can't recall how they were all put together. but all the pieces are here. There are 3 heavy glass shades, lightly frosted on the insides and not chipped or damaged. The light fixture has some dust on the top, a few paint splashes from paint jobs over the years, and the wiring is the old original cloth ... morecovered style, so I would recommend rewiring!
