Very heavy and well made. This neat old Arts and Crafts wall sconce shows lots of age and wear and would be well worth restoring, or just remove the socket and place a candle in the brass fixture. All components are in excellent condition and are from the mid century era. The shade and stem compliment each other nicely. The shade measures about 16 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. There are a couple of flea bites on the top rim that are not noticeable when hung. The glass body is fabulous. The chain has been left with its vintage petina- looks great. The ceiling canopy was sanded and repainted as is also from the same era. The socket housing is vintage and there are four new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs as well as all new wiring. The frame is very ornate and has beautiful detail and is completed with 3 bulb sockets on the inside of the light. I was told this is an eastlake design however i know nothing about lamps so please see all pictures as they tell the story. The light weighs 5-1\2 pounds unpacked and measures approx. 17 x10 x10. Antique Brass Wall Sconce Light fixture Glass Shade / Hubble Switch
Today we have up for auction an old Brass wall light fixture with a lovely clear and frosted shade. It extends 7in from the wall and is 10in tall from bottom of shade to top of piece that fits flat to the wall. The fitter is 2 1/4in across. The shade is 5in tall and bottom is 4in across. The shade is in good condition no cracks or chips. It does have a little roughness around bottom but it is normal wear. The Brass fixture needs cleaning and polishing. The switch is marked HUBBLE. SquareTrade © AP6.0 UP FOR AUCTION IS: Rare Antique Brass& Slag Outside Mission Arts& Crafts Period Light Fixture Sconce circa 1915- ITEM DESCRIPTION- Up for auction is a wonderful antique Brass& Slag Outdoor Mission Style Light Fixture. This high quality round cone shaped arts& crafts period lamp is in good shape for its age. It came from a covered porch of an exquisite house built in the mid 1910s. It still has the original wiring and will need to be rewired. The brass is lacquered and shows signs of weather and wear and some of the bare brass is exposed on the edges and other spots. There is some light paint overspray on this piece but it wouldn't take much to remove it especially if you were going to restore it. The overspray shows well in the photos but is not really that noticeable in person. I have had this ... morefor many years and was going to restore it but have way too many other projects at hand so its time to let it go. The brass is thick and this light fixture is heavy duty weighing in at 2 pounds 13 ounces. The brass pull switch light socket is a 1910 to 1916 Hubbell(raised bead& 250W. with curved font) and the pull switch is smooth and clicks as it should when you pull the cord. The brass pull chain has an acorn on the bottom. There are no cracks or chips in the textured caramel colored slag. The outer arm sleeve looks to be made of copper with a sturdy threaded iron pipe to hold it securely on the wall and the curled horn shaped part of the arm is made of brass. This fixture stands about 10" tall overall and is just over 6 5/8" diameter at the bottom. The chain hangs just about 10" from the bottom of the fixture and the total length of the arm(including threads) from the wall is about 6 3/4" to the center of the fixture. It is NOT useable as a light fixture as is. But needs rewiring. This beautiful fix ture is big. Measuring 18" from arm to arm. It will be stunning when restored and mounted. Vtg. Antique- Lg. School House -Industrial Ceiling Fixture Light - Milk ? Glass
Offered is a great old ceiling mount fixture. I know its definately Vintage, Possibally antique but not sure. It's like a school house or industrial style, Has a large white glass globe, that I think would be a milk glass, The globe alone measures 16" across center, 10" deep or tall and the opening including its lip is 6" across center, when placed on metal Holder/ Fixture it hangs down approx. 14" from ceiling. Its Holder is a bit unique from most, instead of having screws that hold on the glass it has a colar with clips, once collar is off, you slip the globe on and then the colar goes over 2 tabs and you twist the colar to lock on the globe. The holder looks to me to be a sorta brushed aluminum and the colar I think is either a thicker aluminum or steel possibally. The Glass is in very nice condition with no cracks, ... morehas some tiny knicks on glass right around the opening on lip. The metal holder shows age of scratches and spotting(nothing major) but you could always paint it if you wanted it to look newer. Its a tiny bit indented where screws went, most likely from over tightening it a bit and the area that fits right up to ceiling has a round hole which I think may have had either a switch or pull type chain at some point coming out of it but it must have been removed.Its works fine and the socket is porcelain. Antique Pink Glass Art Deco Light Fixture Clear Bubble Bottom Fruit Leaves 10.5"
This is a beautiful. Old, art deco type glass light cover from a local antique auction. It is 10 1/2" across the top, 4" tall. It has 3 holes, and raised design in the pink of large leaves with fruit in the center. The center section is clear and made of magnifying bubbles. The piece weighs 3 Lbs 5 Ounces. There is a tiny ding in the top edge, the part that goes up against the ceiling.The pink glass also has a smaller embossed design between the larger designs.

This is a wonderful example of some of our earliest American antique lighting. The five glass shades are frosted in a creamy white color with an"angel wing" and dogwood flower design. The chandelier frame is cast metal and with some polishing. Will be lovely. It needs to be rewired and one of the slip shades replaced too and I do have a source for it that lists the cost at $95.00. Plus shipping. The fixture came from my farmhouse in West Virginia which was built in the 1930's. I do not know where it came from originally or how old it is exactly. There are no markings on it that I can find either. I did some research and I believe this to be an" Art Deco Devon Five Slip Shade Chandelier" though. The research I found says. The Devon Series is an outstanding chandelier re-creation from one of America’s BEST Art Deco manufacturers ... moreduring the depression times. Mid-West Manufacturing of Kansas City made only the best. Even during the worst economic times in America. Even in the bad times, there are still folks who are clever and make money. Mid-West catered to them. Here is the most outstanding. Top-of-the-line fixture of the Devon Group, made circa 1934, having five shades. The slip shades were made with a strap to help hold them in position, so they would not pop out too easily. The fixture was most likely cast by the lost wax casting process. The chandelier would be suitable for many home or business decorative styles such as Art Deco certainly. But Art Nouveau and perhaps Craftsman as well. The use of semi indirect light makes for subtle, warm lighting. The shades slip into place for easy cleaning. There is a turn switch on the bottom. Antique vtg S'Louis cameo flashed glass Victorian light fixture shade cranberry
Unusual Victorian era shade. Marked"S'LOUIS" There are 2 fitter lip chips(see photos) but none that would show once used. The glass looks to me to be flashed and also cameo. The color is a cranberry and not a full red. More a color gold in glass making makes. I think flashed because in places the red is worn ever so slightly like that tourist glass that was once popular at world's fairs and expositions but again. Not that red. 6 1/8" wide and 4 1/2" tall. 2 1/4" fitter.

Vtg 1900's c1906 ANTIQUE NOUVEAU SLAG GLASS CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE~CRAFTSMAN ART. Please click on any picture for full size photos. Up for auction.very rare and unique slag glass ceiling light fixture circa 1906. This light fixture came from a"mansion" in Sydney Montana that was constructed and completed in or around 1906. Sydney is a small town on the eastern edge of the state near the border of North Dakota(currently in the midst of a massive oil boom) The family that had the home built is said to have owned the first car dealership in the state. Being in a state of the art business as they were. I am assuming they also electrified the home when it was built. I suspect this was a very expensive and exclusive fixture at the time. What makes this light so unique is the manner in which it expands and than curls back in towards ... morethe center again.making a"saucer" style shade 50 years prior to the proliferation of similarly shaped lamp shades of the 1950's. A rare form for the era for sure. This light fixture is absolutely gorgeous. Condition: Beautiful vintage condition. There is a small split in the shade where the lead shell has been bent slightly of out of form. The shade does not require to be repaired as the issue is only visible up close. But I do not think it would be that hard to fix should it be desired. 100% operational. I believe the wiring was replaced at some time in the last 40 years. The sockets are definitely original and pose no problems. The multi strand wires are fine and flawless, but for some reason dark green? perhaps original?
