Included with the hinges are all of the screws that were found with the hinges(see last photo) There are 24 in total. Which is the exact amount that you need to install the hinges The hinges have a great"hammered" texture. Which was popularized during the Arts& Crafts movement of the early 1900's. At the point of salvage 2 of the hinges were tough to open and all of the hinges were painted black. White, and red(see last photo) The black paint was applied by the manufacturer when they made the hinges, and the red and white were added by the former owners. During the cleaning process, we completely removed the white and red paint, and took off some of the black paint as well. You could always repaint them if you like, or keep them with their new, unique, silver/black finish. The hinges also open and close much easier now. The hinges have some tiny nicks and scratches. Which are typical for pieces this old, but they blend in very well with the hammered design. Otherwise, they are in great condition, strong and sturdy, and ready to serve for many years to come! Great architectural salvage pieces. My good friend has done it again! He saves pieces from homes slated for demolition and brings them to me.these are special. Straight off of a door from a home in Ol' New Orleans.early 19th c. Very possibly earlier, hand forged, large and heavy, iron door hinges. Rustic and coated with chippy, original and early paint. Original white underneath, a coat of hunter green, with a top coat of a different green.with the later coat being decades old. As a testament to age, these pieces are perfectly imperfect, very prim. The attachment plates are a bit different in size(one has a tiny 1/4" age related crack in it) The iron posts are pegged and soldered into the main plates. Each hinge measures approx. 15.5 long" x 1 3/4" tall. The plates are 1.5" wide x 5 1/4 and 4 7/8" tall. Pair Antique Hand Forged Iron Strap Hinges for Barn Door w/ Hardware c. 1880's
Pair of Antique Hand Forged Iron Strap Hinges For a Barn Door or Old Door with Primitive Hardware. Offering a pair of beautiful hand forged antique iron strap door hinges with hardware. Circa 1880’s. It appears the straps were forged as a pair because the viewable design(as it would display on a door) has the same pattern. I.e. both having two holes that are set roughly the same distance apart. Plus. The white spots are on both and the heart finials are shaped basically the same with one ticking off to the top and one to the bottom. The top hinge is 15” long and is rolled back and flatten. It has a 5/8” hole. The 15 ¾” bottom strap’s roll back is shorter and more finely forged into the main body of the strap. Perhaps because the craftsman did not have the length of material needed to make the same shaped roll back as the shorter strap. ... moreIt has a ½” hole. As for the hardware. The straight 5” drivable piece fits well under the 15” top strap. In other words. It lines up perfectly so a pin can be inserted though both pieces. All that is missing. To make the whole set complete, is the pin. The hinge pin for the bottom is 5 ½” long by 2 ½” at the widest part. The size is such that it will fit both straps if someone wanted to switch the smaller strap to the bottom for some reason. They have a beautiful aged and untouched patina with good form and design. Both have breathtaking. Well formed hearts/spears ends. They are in excellent“as found” condition. I think the white on the straps is from aged. Dried out bird poop but I’m not positive. I’ll leave the clean up to the buyer as it’s my policy to sell antiques in their original or as found condition. Thank You for checking out my items. Here we have an Antique Circa 1800's Slovakian Chest. This was purchased by an Antique dealer from a Slovakian Village years ago. The out side of the trunk is was painted years ago a couple times. The paint is worn now. There are dings/scratches and scuffs becacuse of the of the Age and it was being used in the village. There is a front"lock" but there is NO locking mechanism or key. I"believe" not certain the inside is Pine. There is a secret compartment that pulls up to reveal a drawer. There is a spot for a second drawer which is not there. The higes and hardware appear to be hand forged. There are feet added for decoration. Hand forged nails also. For auction is an antique coal scuttle or jardinière with lion head hinges. This is quite old and had dovetailing and some of the wonderful use you expect to see with and antique. I have polished it a little but left some of the great patina. Six inches high with the handle down, the length from the delft handle to the spout is nine inches. This is only a guess based on my knowledge of materials and construction methods but I would think this desk to be at least 150 years old and quite possibly much older than that. There is as you would expect age splits chips. Lost of finish, the brass hinges are getting weak, and maybe some screws tightened or replaced. I also though the old ink stains very charming and important to the desk. I have a nice lot of old 1/2 inch offset ball finial hinges for your consideration. These are heavy stamped steel probably because of the heavy solid wood doors they use to use in the 20's and 30's in old bungalows. These have a flush mount for jamb side and a mortise cut application for the door mount side. See pics carefully. These are 3 1/2 inches. Nice large ball tips on the pins and on the opposite end of hinge that unscrew from plate with threading and a standard slot cut. Pins remove and pivot nicely and have a small friction seat bearing on each. Will need a good cleaning of old paint for your new finish. Original brass plate is pretty much shot. Offered at no reserve a beautiful set of 9 matching Victorian-era-steeple-topped door hinges from a box in a Petersburg estate. We will be listing a few more hinge sets from this same box so please see my other items for sale. Victorian style but marked only 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" I believe these are cast iron but could be thick steel as each weighs nearly 1/2 a pound. They have a great embossed detailed design and the metal is clean and rust free. I did take a pin out and there was quite a bit of rust on it. I believe they were cleaned at some point as the people having the estate liked old metal things and the man liked to work on these objects. They have specks of white residue here and there at the top of some of the pins. But I see no signs of these ever ... morehaving been used other than that. No chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs and all the pins are original. Look at my photos closely and you'll know just how nice these are. Highly unusual to find 9 old matching hinges in this condition. Mixed Lot Vintage & Antique Glass &Metal Door Knobs Hinges Hardware Screws
The 2 clear glass knobs are in very good condition with a little paint on them. The brown( stone? knob shows some light scratches and dings. The milk glass knob has 2 discoloration marks. The metal knobs have a heavy patina. But are in good condition. The 3 heavy duty hinges are 4" x 4" when lying open. There is just over 1 pound of 1" flat head screws.

I have for auction a nice lot of drawer pulls. Latches, hooks, hinges, casters and 2 antique heavy cast iron flanges/base. The first one looks like some lamp fixture as there's a hole right next to the center where a pull chain may have been, it measures about 3 1/4" across, stands about an inch high and weighs 5 ounces. The other heavy cast iron piece looks like a handle, it's completely round in the center, 3 1/2" across, about 1/4" thick and it weighs just shy of 6 ounces. There's an E 233 on the other side.
