The set consists of 1 brass pull with a thumb latch, 1 brass knob with a 2-piece steel spindle(connecting rod) 1 stamped brass-plated steel rosette, 1 stamped brass thumbturn. 1 brass mortise cylinder plate, 1 steel mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1 brass cylinder mortise w/working key, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 2 brass washers. Several steel washers, 2 steel securing nuts, and 2 brass bolts to fasten the pull to the door The set was salvaged from Northwestern North Carolina. We found the parts with a nice. Warm patina, which we decided to leave undisturbed. If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny, we could clean and polish the set prior to shipping for an additional charge of $30- email us after the auction if you are interested. All parts are in excellent condition with only the typical nicks and light scratches that you would expect to find on old hardware. But no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches. About the lock: The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. The mortise lock is locked by pushing the top button on the faceplate. And unlocked by either pushing the bottom button or using a key. Once locked, the door could only be opened by turning the knob on the interior side of the door, or by using the key on the exterior side of the door. This is a very convenient feature for the person inside of the room. No more locking and unlocking to let someone in. Simply turn the knob, open the door, let someone in, close the door and it's already locked. To disable the auto-lock feature, simply push the bottom button. The lock was opened. for sale a very nice antique quartersawn oak dresser with original beveled mirror and hardware. dresser is serpentine in the front which is a very desirable and somewhat rare feature. it has a great carved harp for the mirror which hopefully the pictures will show. it has abundant quartersawn flake on the top and all the drawers and dividers. the finish is overall in very good condition. There is a couple of dark spots where i expect someone laid a cigarette. the mirror has never been resilvered and is a bit smokey but is in good condition and quite functional. i would not have it redone as the smokey appearance just adds patina as far as i am concerned. the piece is quite heavy and very solid, no loose joints, wiggles, or wobbles. the drawer joints are dovetail, probably made about 1895-1905. it is a large dresser being 73 inches tall without ... morecasters, 48 inches wide, and 22.5 inches deep. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. i can arrange shipping it that be of benefit to anyone. good luck.

There are 9 threaded and 16 set screw design rods. Included among these are 3 old long center pivoting rods one of which unscrews at the center and measures 5 inches. The other two are 4 3/4 inches long and just spin and do not separate. Some hard to find lengths. Also a nice combination threaded/set screw rod. Rare Vintage Guttenberg NJ Fire Dept. Maltese Cross w/ Hardware Antique
Guttenberg Fire Department. New Jersey. Antique Maltese Cross. I don't believe this was ever painted as it shows absolutely no paint residue whatsoever. Great condition with no damage. Dents or dings. There's a small copper colored spot showing on the front(lower-left of the"F" but I really don't know what it's made of. It's heavy and weighs half a pound on a postal scale. Measures 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" Probably cast metal. The mounting hardware is like new and fully functional. Looks like it's never seen the tip of a screw driver. My family lived in Guttenberg. NJ from the early 1900's thru the 1970's. Guttenberg is nestled above the Hudson River directly across from Manhattan between West New York and North Bergen. If not the smallest, it is one of the smallest towns in New Jersey. A very similar pair of antique Norfolk style thumb latches with parts. The latches are period ones-most likely 19th century. They are 7 1/4" long. The thumb pieces are 2 1/2" long-they are not original to the latches-but period to them. The latch bars are also period and are 4 1/2" long. 2 very similar antique wrought iron Suffolk thumb latches with parts. The latches are most likely 18th century. They are 8 1/2" long with nice bold handles One thumb piece is original and is 1 3/4" long-the other is not original and is 3" long. The latch bars are period and are 7" and 7 1/2" long-both have nice lift knobs The keepers are wrought reproductions-nice legged ones as opposed to simple drive in ones.
