Description This is a great mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It looks to be made of mahogany and is currently painted white. There is a backsplash with small carvings above the shelf. The shelf itself is curved and trimmed in beaded molding. The legs have carved wreathes and bellflowers. The breast has a carved corbel in the center with great carvings to either side. The carvings are wood. I did a couple of test scrapes as there are many coats of paint. Stripping would bring back the details. It measures 59.5 inches wide. 54.25 inches tall and 11.75 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. Here is a nice antique mantel clock, Marked"MAR 21 76" on front dial. Also"June 13 1882 Ansonia Clock Co New York" on movement inside. Made of cast iron. Very heavy it weighs about 24 pounds. Size is about 15 X 6 X 10 inches. Includes the pendulum. No key. I did not test it for operation. I do see lots of gears and other parts inside. Original shiney black paint with gold painted etching. There is no glass over the dial. I am not sure if there was originally. The minute hand is bent a bit and I made no attempt to straighten it(probally an easy fix) Has some scratches and scuffs to the paint. But nothing too serious. For your consideration: This very large vintage or antique blacksmith wood and leather bellows. Measures a whopping 42 1/2" X 29" X 10" Still blows air out the base or small end! Looks as though entire side was covered with thin leather to keep air from leaking between boards but obviously most of that leather is long gone. I envision this item either free standing on the small end in the center of a fireplace mantel or hanging or mounted to the nice stone or brick wall above your fireplace. Description This is a nice mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of cherry and is currently painted white. The shelf is supported by partially fluted round columns. There is dentil and reel and bead molding below the shelf. There is beaded molding around the firebox and on the breast. It measures 59.25 inches wide by 46 inches tall and is 12 inches thick. The firebox opening is 41.75 by 35.5 tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. This marble fireplace was imported from Europe. Belgium, or France. This is an antique one and the seller said it was marble. Personally I believe it is Belgium hard stone. Style is Art Deco. Penn Antique Restoration. 56"x81" Antique Restored Carved Victorian Oak Fireplace Mantel Gorgeous. Antique, fireplace mantel salvaged from an old plantation home in Central Georgia. It is made entirely of red oak(no veneer) and dates back to the 1880's. The lower half has a fairly straightforward design with a few accents including a turned. Tapered column on each leg; a carved starburst motif above each column; and chamfered edges on both sides of each leg. The upper half has 4 shelves(2 long and 2 short) a recessed panel in the center contoured with egg and dart molding and an oval opening for a mirror; 2 turned. Tapered columns with a carved plinth block in the middle; and a lovely crown with curved ends. Glass: The original mirror had very little silvering left. So we didn't include it. The mantel will need a new mirror(flat ... moreor beveled) which we could order and install for you. If you would like a bigger mirror, we could remove the whole panel(the area in between the ornate molding) and install a rectangular mirror. Email and let us know what you would like, and we'll get you a quote. Restoration: At the point of salvage. The mantel was covered under many layers of paint, and some parts were broken or missing(mostly decorative appliqués) We acquired the mantel in pieces. This facilitated the stripping process. But made putting it back together very difficult. We reassembled the mantel using modern glue, nails, and drywall screws. We also added hardwood stiffeners to the back of the mantel. Now, it's stronger and sturdier than ever! Condition: Considering that the mantel is about 130 years old. It's in amazing condition! You will find the typical cosmetic blemishes: nicks, scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes. However, to the antique enthusiast, those are character marks not flaws. There are no structural threats(i.e. breaks, cracks, rotting, etc. Finishing: All this beauty needs now is a nice stain and/or finish. We've finished many mantels before(see last 5 photos)

This mantel is circa 1880's. The summer cover and surround are cast iron with minor rust. It could be sandblasted and painted to your liking. The mantel and keystone are marbleized slate. Antique fireplace or stove mantel or insert. The pictures describe it best. Very intricate details. It stands about 31 inches tall and is about 25 1/2 inches wide. The left leg is broken off near the top as you can see in the last photo. The right leg is broken off at the top behind the top section so the break is actually hidden from the front view. used. i got this one and 4 others from a mid 1800s house i torn down in the early 1990s in Dundarrach. NC made from pine. simple coat of latex on it from years ago. seems easy to get off. the mantle is about 7'2" tall and 52" wide. it had plaster up next to the finished edge. kids broke the old mirror out while the house was empty so i have a replacement. double mantle shelves. made from heart pine. no labels on it. some old fire damage on the lower inner edge. the other 4 are in my families homes from wisconsin, michigan to washington state and alabama. i have it here in fayetteville, nc and right now have no idea how to ship it so for staters i will list as local pickup. maybe someone who wants it shipped can tell me how to do it. please ask questions and i will try my best to answer. what you see is what you get. no returns ... moreso measure carefully.

ANTIQUE CARVED INLAY WOOD FRENCH GOTHIC DEVIL FACE FIREPLACE MANTEL SHELF CORBEL
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique, salvaged piece. This was once a piece of a large cabinet, but could easily be used in a variety of areas. It would make a fantastic fireplace mantel, window valance, pediment, etc. This is solid walnut wood with inlay veneer and exceptional, carved accents. There are 2 large corbels with deeply curved and carved side profiles. Each has a carved North Wind or Devil face with fantastic detailing such as acanthus leaves that surround the faces. The end sections of the unit feature squared columns with incised diamond pattern. Very nice carved acanthus scrolls support each column and provide nice end accents. The inlay wood sections are raised panels. The lower section retains the finish base cap molding trim which is substantial in size. The back of the unit is in original condition with the original ... morenails/screws in place. The top has 3 peg holes where a shelf had once been attached. The unit is in very good, antique condition. There are a few, very minor scuffs which are not distracting and can be resolved. There is one split down the side that will need to be filled but it has not affected the structural integrity of the unit(see picture 5) This is simply exceptional and beautiful! The unit measures 51" long. 10.5" tall and extends 9.5" from the wall at the corbel section. The corbels are 10.5" tall. They are 2.25" wide at the top sections and 3.75" wide at the bottom with the trim included. They are 8.75" deep(front to back) at the face sections. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of mahogany and is currently painted white. The shelf has bump outs at the ends. Below the bump outs are carved blocks. Below each are 2 round fluted columns with carved capitals. There is a curved breast board that is carved from end to end. There is a heavy raised molding around the firebox. It measures 78 inches wide by 53.5 tall and is 13.5 inches deep. The firebox opening is 41.5 wide by 35.5 tall. Overall it is in good condition.
