HUGE antique walnut corner cupboard w paned glass doors above solid wood doors
This is a gorgeous corner cupboard that measures 78" X 52" The glass in the two upper doors is wavy which attests to its age. The finish is smooth and there are no defects anywhere. The hardware is original. There are two shelves in the upper door area and one in the lower door area. The cupboard is part of my parents' estate. They always prized this piece after years of being antique collectors and dealers. Dad lit the interior with mini lights to highlight his display of historical china. The buyer will be responsible for picking this up and it will require some men who are very careful and strong. If I were buying it. I'd have insured professional movers handle it. This is the nicest corner cupboard of its type that I've ever seen. You won't be disappointed.

They measure 78 1/2" in length, and 1 3/4" thick. Each stained glass insert measures 19" wide, and 62 1/2" in length. One of the stained glass panels has some damage, but it would be an easy repair for a good stained glass repairman. The doors are heavy wood, but show some damage ... moretoward the bottom. This would require some gluing and veneering, or you could put the stained glass panels in another door. The doors have all the original hardware attached. Originally these doors would have been used inside of a house, because they don't have the locking system for an exterior door. Dating back to the 1800’s it has a large bookcase topper with large glass front doors. The glass appears to be very old with some small imperfections in it. There are 3 adjustable shelves in the bookcase. The drop front desk, doors and drawers of the base all have burled mahogany accents. Behind the drop front are lots of cubbies and 4 dovetail drawers with porcelain ... morepulls for storage and organization. There are ink stains on the interior part of the desk from years of use. This adds so much character to this piece. The base of the desk has 1 large drawer with drop pulls and 2 doors that open for storage. The sides of the base are paneled and this piece is very solid and sturdy. The unit sits on casters. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. Measure 32 x 16. I believe these might be original to my home which was built by an old sea captain for his widow who built the house after he died using her inheritance. These doors appear to be of an old world craft. And could not have been easy to make. They measure 32 x 16 inches and about 3/4s thickness They were lacquer finished and then along with the rest of the house painted at one point. This is the easier finish to remove and since I have the tools, if someone so desires I will strip them for a small fee and they will then need to be sanded.

Each door has a solid pine core covered with 1/4" thick red oak veneers. Please don't think"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern furniture to disguise the inferior materials underneath; these veneers are very thick and help strengthen and stabilize the door. As well as protect it against warping. Solid oak doors would've warped a long time ago. The doors have 6 panels on each side: 2 square on top. 2 long, rectangular in the middle, and 2 square on bottom. ANTIQUE GUNN MFG 3 SECTIONAL Glass Doors BARRISTER STACKING BOOKCASE " ORIGINAL"
In great shape for age. Needs cleaned and polished. Marked with tag on inside of the bottom two shelves of the bookcase and there is a grand rapids tag on back. All three sections match and stack properly. Has a couple minor scuffs and scratches. Glass is wavy and original. All beautiful condition.
