This hardware was recovered during a 1984 renovation of the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago.The hotel was built in 1927 and was called the Stevens. This is the original hardware.The knobs are solid brass and have a few dings in them but are in good condition considering age and use.Also has two different styles of knob back plates.Knobs are 2-1/2"in diameter. Hardware manufactured by Sargent.

12 Antique 1920's Door Plates. Reclaimed!
This ebay auction is for 12 Antique 1920's Steel Door Plates. These were Reclaimed from a recent House Demolition. They had several coats of paint on them. When i stripped them, there were several scratches revealed around the screw holes. There is some paint left on these, no bends or breaks. These can probably be buffed out or just left as is. There are two sizes. 7 that are 8" long X 2 1/2" wide& 5 that are 7" long X 2 1/4" wide.

This is a large lot of antique door hardware. There are 15 sets of knobs.5 loose knobs,1 handle latch,12 brass back plates.and 4 lock assemblys. There are 7 glass sets some are purple in color and some are a cream or light yellow. There are only a couple of very small edge chips that I only detected by running my finger around the edge of the knobs. Most are perfect. There are 4 extra glass knobs. They are all good except the one farthest back in the group photo has a chip inside. There are 8 Brass sets with all of the knobs matching but one. There is one extra brass knob. There are 12 brass back plates. The two large are marked Penn CS508 on the back. The other 10 all match. There are 4 lock assemblys with two matching. Set Antique Pocket Door Hardware Locks Plates Pulls
This set of antique pocket door hardware consists of four brass-plated door plates and two locks with brass-plated plates. The locks are operational. Pushing the button in the face causes the pulls to protrude. The lock moves but there is no key. There are some scratches on the door plates from removing several coats of paint mechanically and corrosion in many spots where the plating has been worn through. The lock plates appear to have been scratched through to the steel extensively in past years. See the 3rd picture. The plate on the receiving lock has been bent around the opening where the curved lock shaft engages the plate. The receiving lock is marked Corbin.
