The foundry produced parts for Chrysler and now the work is done overseas. This is one of the most elegant and highest quality Masonic door knockers ever produced. The striker is a hand holding a gavel entertwined with the letter"G" The back plate is a square and compass. The door knocker almost has a black forest look to it. Antique bronze door knocker. Weighing approx. 2 pounds. It has a nut finial on top of a handled"vase" with floral accents. No maker's mark seen. But the back is heavily oxidized. Possibly forged- the reverse side of the knocker is a little uneven around the arch with pitting, but I can't say for sure. Measures 8-1/4" long x 4-1/2" wide. Condition is antique. As shown in photos. The 2" long mounting screws are probably original.

Antique Door Knocker Early 19th Century Hand Forged Iron with Strike Plate
6 1/2" approx. measure from top of backplate to bottom of knocker. This early piece of hand forged hardware has at least a couple of layers of black paint which has chipped in some places to reveal some rusty surface. It will take two screws to attach to door. This is an Antique Victorian Door Knocker. It is 6" long x 5" wide. The back portion has an int ricate cut out lace work detail which is in a diamond shape. I think the back is cast iron. A fine and rare antique 19th century bronze door knocker and striker in the form of a satyr or lion head with ears. Wonderful patina- the knocker is not hollow on the back but fully round- an indication of high quality production. Beautiful deep relief decoration throughout including snakes entwined around the knocker. Separate striker is present. Antique door-knocker or hanging fixture in the form of a five-pointed star This is a beautiful metalwork door fixture. I am assuming it is supposed to be an actual knocker. Although there is no piece to receive the strike. Either it had some other piece of metal associated with it, or it just knocks direct onto the surface of the door. Or it is supposed to be a hanging and a decorative piece, maybe a pulling handle. I guess if you wished to fix it to a main door for knocking, a metal boss could easily be obtained and screwed/bolted in separately. I have no idea of the age of this. It is very unusual and many people who have looked at it have been baffled by it, they say it appears to be quite rare and I myself have not ever seen anything exactly like it. This is really decorative. The main part of the piece is a circular shape. Pierced with ... morea five-pointed star and the surface ornately chased. It could be Turkish or Indian and may have an Islamic significance. The top part of the item has two holes so it can be attached to a door and it is hinged. So that the knocker can be used. I have had this in my personal collection for many years. I had kept it with the thought that one day it would grace a door in my abode. But it does not suit the style of my new house and rather than hang on to it any longer, I would like it to find a new home, so that it can be seen and appreciated. I will pack this carefully. This is an old hand forged wrought iron door knocker. This is the kind of iron implement that would have been fashioned by the village black smith. The knocker is not marked as to maker nor would we expect it to be. Old utilitarian wrought iron items like this are seldom marked. It measures 6 ¾” fully extended and 4” across at the widest point. It weighs approx. 1 lb. The door knocker is quite old. It may well come from the 18th century. The piece is in good original condition as we found it. It has the usual rust and orange peel surface you expect to see on an iron item of extreme age. However. The iron is sound and the door knocker has no repairs. We are not sure where it was produced. Antique Brass Door Knocker Evered and Company Nautical Anchor Style
This is an amazing turn of the century brass door knocker made by Evered and Company. The knocker part of this piece is made entirely of brass. But I believe that the part which attaches to a door is brass electro plated(see photo 7) On the back of the knocker is a shield emblem with the stamping RE&S which is Evered and Company's logo. Also, on the back is stamped 5706(maybe a house number) Evered and Company was created in 1884 from Richard Evered and Son, which was a reputable brass and iron company. Evered and Company took over Richard Evered and Son's brassmaking process, and that is why I date this piece as a Progressive Era Antique(1890-1920) Measurements: Part which attaches to the door- 8 3/4" high· 3" widest point· 1 1/4" narrowest point· 1 1/4" thick Knocker- 6 1/2" high· ... more3 1/2" widest point(anchorpart) 1/2" narrowest point(stem) 1/2" thick Screw in back of knocker- 1 1/2" long· 1/4" thick There is pitting along most of the knocker. Two near the top and one under the chin. There are also two threaded holes that make it possible to mount the knocker from the back by putting bolts through the door. There is a light green patina over most of the surface. Most importantly it is stamped ENGLAND on the back at the bottom. Near the bottom edge of the medallion on the clapper there is an area where the bronze did not completely fill the mold. The door knocker measures approximately 7-9/16" high by 5-5/8" wide by 2" deep. The distance between the vertical mounts is approximately 5-3/8" center to center. A great addition to any collection. This is for an original old antique Edwardian period solid brass cloven footed DEVIL door knocker. It measures about 12.5cm( 5" high with the cloven footed devil with disfigured face and mask in hand, the back knocker plate has two holes for fixing, the condition original and very good.

ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU LETTER BOX WITH DOOR PULL AND A DOOR KNOCKER
The letter box and the door pull has a Rd No. 505417 which I believe is for 1908 and I believe the door knocker is the same period and came from the same door. The knocker has the letters JGB and No 639 to the back. Both were I believe silver plated at one time but are now showing a lot of brass. I guess the rest of the plate could be removed leaving brass or they could be re-plated or just left. All the wear has been natural wear and there are no signs of of wire wool or other abrasives being used. The letter box may need a new spring and apart from a couple of nuts every thing there including bolts and knocker stud which is secured by one of the bolts. Knocker size just over 21cm long. Letter box and pull just over 20cm wide. Any questions please ask.
