Antique Passage Door Knobs Steel and Bronze or Brass
There are 3 pair of antique Victorian door knobs. Two pair are of steel and one pair is most likely bronze but might be brass. All 6 have the same pattern. The knobs measure 2 1/4" in diameter. With a 5/8" shank. Spindles and screws are included. The bronze knobs have visible dents and small gouges and they could take some additional polishing. Some of the steel knobs have slight dents. They have been cleaned up but not been recoated.

Here we have three very nice antique style c.early 1900's. Reproduction, lever type, fancy design door knobs and shafts. Judging by their weight, they are cast solid brass. The lever handles are approx. 4" long and approx. 1" at the widest end. The shafts are approx. 3 1/2 and 3 3/4" long and 7/32" square with threaded ends. The lever knobs secure to the shafts with two small set screws each. These lever knobs are ideal for storage or closet spaces where you don't really need an expensive authentic door knob that matches a certain set. As for condition. They are as found. The sets have no dents, scratches, or repairs. They are unpainted, clean and smooth with no surface rust, tarnish or corrosion. I don't think they have ever been used and are not worn in any way. Superb Very Large Victorian Antique Door Knobs / Handles / Door Centre Piece.
A Pair of Antique Victorian Bronze Door Knobs. Would not look out of place on a French Chateau/ Town Hall or Mansion House But sadly would look out of place on my semi! I removed these from an old Victorian Bank in Brighouse West Yorkshire about 20 years ago. They are in superb condition as they were fitted to the inside of a pair of massive oak doors that were opened each morning and fastened back as the Bank had an internal lobby so have never been handled by customers with rings on or been outside in the weather. As you can see they are in perfect condition from the photos. Look at photo 8 to see how large they are compaired to a standard door knob. I don't know if the light green is the remnants from years of cleaning with'Brasso' But I'm certainly not removing it by cleaning them up as it gives them a nicely aged surface ... morepatina. They both have an anti swivel pin on the back of the backplate seen in photo number 4. They are very large- Backplate- 3 3/4 inch Knob- 3 1/4 inch Depth- 3 3/4 inch Will fit doors from 1 3/8 to 1 7/8 in width but could fit thinner doors using a packing timber. antique door lock with glass knobs w/ shaft, lock housing
Here is an antique door lock and knobs assembly with two glass door knobs. Bottom of one knob has paint on the brass bottom of the knob and the outside of the lock is painted also where it would be flush with the door. Glass knobs are in over all good condition with just a few light chips or scratches on the edges of the knobs. Mechanism works smoothly and throw is smooth also. One knob has some paint spots or light chipping on glass surface. The lock housing is 3 1/2" L x 3" D. by 1/2" W. The knob spread is 5 1/2" The face plate is 5 1/4" L. Victorian era white porcelain door knob set Salvaged from an 1800’s to turn of the century. 1900, home. Seems to be a full set– I have not taken anything apart. The interior section of the iron is not round. But square. Great antique white porcelain doorknobs. Size: White porcelain knobs measure approx 2 5/8ths in diameter The length of the piece as currently approx 6 ½ inches– this measures to the beginning of the curve of the knob. Just measuring the iron segment: approx 4 ½ inches. Condition: Knobs still have a shine- you can see parts of the background reflected in the photos.I think very good. But I am uncertain how experts grade. I have merely wiped the porcelain with a soft soapy cloth– very white. This is a collection of knobs and such that we found in a home we inherited. The home was built in the 1800s. So some or all of these items may date back that far. I truly do not know their ages, but I know they are old. What you get: One door knob with glass knobs on each end. I think the metal is brass. There is a crack in the glass on one end(see images) The diameter of these knobs is 1-3/4" Two glass drawer or cupboard knobs. The glass on these knobs are in perfect shape. I think the metal is brass. The diameter on these knobs is 1-1/4" One solid metal door stopper. I have no idea what the metal for this is. Perhaps cast iron or steel?
