Lot of 13 antique oval brass/steel escutcheons key hole covers door hardware
This is a lot of 13 classic oval key hole covers of various sizes. Some of these were removed from old interior doors. And some were never used. The 8 shown on top are not magnetic. Most of them are brass, but the black ones on the left and the chrome one on the right may be stainless steel. The 5 shown on the bottom are steel. The key hole covers vary in width from 15/16" to 1- 1/4" and in height from 1- 11/16" to 2" Two or three of the brass ones are a little pushed in around the key hole. Some have scratches. Hi for sale I have this great old antique door. It has a church gothic look. The doore has great old iron hardware. I noticed on the back that the door was built with antique square nails. The door is quite thin. But it was an exteroir door at one time. It measures: 83" tall x 35 4/5" wide x 1" thick. I think doors like this look great humg on walls. The last photo shows how I have hung a pair of doors on my family room wall. If I had more room, this Gothic door would be hung in my house! The door does have some damage, please see photos. Offered are 7 thumb latch door handles. I have had these for about 40 years thinking I would use them. I know this is a man's thing& I don't know a whole lot about them other than I've always liked them. I was going to list them separately but I couldn't remember what latch went to what handle. One latch is not here. There is light surface rust but I know they will clean up nicely. 3 of the handles are the same. I'm not positive but I think their Norfolk style. Wrought iron, American latch circa 1800-1820. 8 3/4" high, 1 1/2" wide. The one with the pewter handle is Norfolk style, 7 3/4" high, 1 1/4" wide, early 19th century, a piece of the pewter is gone, it looks like it happened long ago. One is Norfolk style from 2nd quarter of 19th century with unusual feathered decorative feature in center ... moreof handle, 7 1/4" high, 1 3/4" wide. I have seen this one sell for $110.00. The one with the knob in the middle is 6 1/2" long. 1 1/2" wide. The one with the separate thumb latch is 6 1/2" long. I may be completely wrong on my facts because they look so primitive to me. Vintage Sliding Fire Door & Hardware Commercial Factory Antique Barn Door
1930's fire door 2-1/2" thick 68" wide 92" high on tall side 88" tall on short side. Manufactured by Willis in Galesburg IL. Around the 1930's UL Tags on the door. There is a counter weight attached by a rope to a pulley system that allows the very heavy door to slide open and closed with very little effort. In the event of a fire the rope burns off and the counter weights fall to the floor and the door will automatically slide closed. For sale locally so auction may end at any time if sold. Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. Up for auction today are two very ornate Victorian Art Deco style door hinges. The hinges are very ornate on the pins. Front and back portion that would be exposed when installed. They measure 5” by 5” when open and 1/8” thick. Total height including the pins is 8” The only markings are 5 x 5 on the backside. It appears that they were bronze/ copper plated at one time. But most of the plating is missing. There is some tan paint in spots and a little bit of surface rust– no pitting. I have an unusual pressed or stamped. Nickel plated steel lot of 8 old door latches for your consideration. These could be in nice reusable condition with a little cleaning and lube. All the springs seem to be intact and work. A little sticky on a couple. I am uncertain of there age although my guess would have been from a wooden built in cabinet or cupboard door from the late 20's early 30's. They have a deco pattern on handles. Nicely, these appear to have had a flush strikeplate application so you will be able to find something that would work more easily. Might be a nice addition for a reworked piece of furniture or cabinet/cupboard door. measure 1 7/16 inches from ctr to ctr of mounting screw holes.
