They are 4 3/4" x 2" have a recessed key well. one is slightly bent at the key hole but looks fine. the other pieces are a left& right insert for the doors edge, one is convex& one concave so that they fit together if the door is closed. they are made by norwalk lock co. the black box is just over 5 1/4" x just over 3" the long bronze front piece is 7 5/8" x 1 1/8" very nice set. original old patina remains, i did not polish them. i do not have the key. usa only. paypal. In great refurbished condition these four barn door trolleys fit a standard old flat track(1 1/4" wide with about 1/8"+- thickness) Measurements are approximate but close. 11" overall height. Strap thickness is 1 5/8" clearance between strap where the door goes) would probably fit width of a 2x4(1 1/2" + a 3/4" board. Wheel diameter is 3 3/4" Expect some minor remaining signs of age and wear- they are fully functional. Well oiled and cleaned/restored. Vintage Antique Solid Bronze Brass Kick Plate Door Hardware 8"wide X 28"long
Another incredible antique hardware find! I was given the chance to salvage anything I wanted from a small antique barn that was going to be demolished. I went over the entire barn with a fine tooth comb. I found many fantastic treasures.including this piece! This kick plate was on a side entrance door. Above the door was one of those green& white porcelain barn lights, of course I salvaged that.it sold immediately! I estimate this kick plate to be about 55-65 years old It is made from solid brass/bronze.not the lower quality steel with a plating You may find cheaper back plates that are plated. Have a man-made antique finish that tries to look old and are lower quality metal.You may find a solid brass kick plate, However you will not find a more gorgeous authentic antique kick plate that has aged perfectly for 55-65 years. The patina ... moreand character on the bronze can only be created by many, many years of exposure to the elements. The kick plate is in excellent antique condition. I used some sandpaper to remove paint that stuck to the back side of the kick plate(last photo is the back side) from the door so their some scratches on the back side, of course they will be hidden when installed on a door The kick plate lays flat and true. It is thick heavy gauge brass/bronze I will include some oval head solid brass screws 3/4" long that match the finish perfectly they are made to protrude a tiny bit from the surface. Not flush mounted(see photos)I like the look when they protrude slightly I feel it adds architectural character. The existing screw holes in the kick plate are beveled/recessed. You will never find a kick plate like this in any Big Box store. I guarantee it! All the best. Here are two nicely refurbished antique sliding barn door trolleys. Nearly matching in size and style surprisingly different brands- One is a FRANTZ the other is unmarked other than the"Patented DEC? 1915" Wheel diameter(2 3/4 inches) and straps are the same. You should have no problem using them together as they have been paired for nearly 100 years. Overall height is approximately 9" Width is 7 3/4 inches. from outside wheel edge to other wheel edge) Now. These wheels have some wobble but continue to roll- I just wanted to point that out so you aren't alarmed- not broken. Once they are in the track the wobble won't matter because they will be guided- roll smooth otherwise. Antique Icebox Hardware Brass Door Latch Set. Late 19th Century Description: Late 19th century brass door latch set for an antique icebox. The two piece decorative brass latch with 5 screw holes has a few very minor surface marks(which have not been cleaned off) But no scratches or deep marks in the metal(see photos) The back piece is rusted, but it seems to open and close without any issue. The back side is marked with a number that is not legible and the letter L. The latch piece measures 3 3/4 inches by 3 inches, and the stationary piece measures 3 1/4 inches long by 3/4 inches wide by 1 1/8 inches deep. Old Antique Cast Iron Chantrell Tool And Hardware Rim Lock Door Hardware
This is a rusty old antique Cast Iron Door Lock Hardware. The only writing I can see is in a circle on the back and I cannot make it out. Lock is 4 3/16" x 3 1/8" x 5/8" thick. Additional information or pictures upon request. I've recently heard from someone that seems to know about the manufacturer of this lock. According to him this is a rim lock manufactured by Chantrell Tool and Hardware Company. This company was established in 1888 in Reading. Pennsylvania. It's principal line was builders hardware, consisting of locks and design goods. Although a couple of sites list the firm as active I can find nothing to indicate they are still manufacturing. I was also asked if it still works. I do not have a key but looking at it I'm very sure it doesn't. Frozen up by the rust. Doesn't mean that someone with the ... morespecial abilities could not bring it back to life but I believe this to be a wall hanger and not a functional lock. This is a gorgeuos collectible display piece. A beautiful. Very heavy piece of BARN DOOR HARDWARE. Sliding door rollers mounted on a piece of very old barn door wood. If I had to guess, I would say over 100 years old. But I do not know for sure. If nothing else, this would look amazing hanging on a wall as a decorative piece. The wood measures 13" x 7" x 1.75" thick. The diameter of each roller is 2.75" Very decorative piece. Great petina and a great collectible. Reasonable offers happily considered.
