Antique Medieval Gothic Plaster Chalkware Wall Shelves Corbels. Up for consideration is an antique pair of Gothic Medieval plaster chalkware wall shelves. The shelves measure 14" tall by 9.5" wide and 5" deep. They measure more than 5 pounds each. The shelves appear to date to the late 19th or early 20th century based on the style made(crudely finished plaster finish on back and metal bar inserted into piece to hold in place on wall) It is painted black with antique gold decoration. As with most antique plaster pieces. They do have some chips to the finish but minor. These could be touched up with matching paint. It appears someone tried to touch up a spot on the gold at some point but used a bright gold instead of an antique gold paint(see photo) this is minor but worth noting. They do have some damage where they were removed from the house that they were on, but in my opinion they are still in pretty good condition considering their age. These are 2 huge old cast iron wall brackets or corbels that came out of an old home here in Louisville. They are quite ornate and measure 15.15 inches on one side and 17.5 inches on the other. They are black and have some finish wear as you would expect from brackets of this age. They need cleaning and perhaps painting. Let me know if you have any questions. ANTIQUE SOLID WALNUT CORBELS
Up for bid is a interesting and nicely shaped pair of solid walnut. Furniture corbels. Each corbel is made up of two pieces of wood, glued together, thus giving it a stepped down look as seen in the pictures provided. They are also two different lengths, because of how they were originally removed from a demolished pump organ. One is 15-1/8" in length while the second is only 13-3/8" in length. Both are 10-1/2" wide overall and the thicker portion of both is 7-1/2" in width. The two pieces might be able to be separated, though I'll leave that up to the winning bidder if they so choose. The longer one can also be cut to the same length as the shorter one, but again a choice left up to the winning bidder. Antique rustic wood corbels
2 antique wooden corbels. Very rustic looking. We have done nothing to them and are offering as is. They were found in a warehouse in Pensacola. Florida and appear to be quite old. Each corbel is approx 47 1/2 inches × 19 inches. They are about 3 inches wide. They weigh approx 18 lbs. each. One corbel is missing a portion of the interior decorative wood, please see pictures. They measure approximately 15 1/2" x 12" and are 2 1/4" thick. One has a little damage to the top. Which any carpenter or woodworker can round off, do the same to the other, and make them both match exactly. WOW! Set of 3 Antique Corbels from 1880 Chippy White Patina This listing is for all three large antique architectural corbels with their awesome chippy white patina. They are out of this old house that was built in the 1800's and before it was demolished. I was lucky enough to purchase them and a few other great antique architectural pieces. I just love the curve detail around the top and the sides of the top! Great to use all 3 corbels as brackets for a long wall shelf or just use two of them and hang each one in a corner of a doorway to add vintage charm to any room in your home or cottage. Or use them outside on your front porch. Each corbel measures 21 3/4" long by 4 1/4" wide by 9 1/4" deep/long at the top. In good vintage condition and they are very solid and sturdy!
