Inside is lined with a red quilted padding and a brass hook to hang the pocket watch. Case is a little over 4 inches high and 3 inches wide. Case is in great antique shape for its age. Pocket Watch is a Cylinder Watch. The back is marked Cylinder 10 Stein Repassirt A Silver Case. I believe the watch is Swiss. Inside watch has the words Alpine and two birds etched inside. Essentially, Radison and des Groseilliers were given the exclusive rights to Hudson Bay area trading by none other ... morethan Prince Rupert, cousin of King Charles II, who acquired the exclusive charter. This was the birth of legitimate fur trading in and around Hudson Bay. By the 1750's, the Hudson's Bay Company began exploring the possibility of branching out their trade market, approaching the Blackfoot Indians taking the Saskatchewan River all the way to the foothills. The beaver engraved into the handle is unmistakable.it appears no less than 4 times on Hudson's Bay Company Coat of Arms. I cannot be 100% certain from these pictures but it is inferred that all of the metal works items that HBC made in the 18th century were a mixture of copper and iron. SquareTrade © AP6.0 Here's a seldom offered. Very nice small CHUPICUARO CULTURE CLAY FIGURE HEAD. Ca: 500 BC-300 AD, found many years ago in Mexico's West-Central Highlands. It's 1 in. 2.4cm) tall. 13/16 in. 2.1cm) wide and 1/2 in. 1.2cm) thick. It's from a detailed modeled figure with carefully made delicate features, coffee-bean eyes, prominent nose and oval mouth. There are two intact earspools and the remains of a once fancy headdress. It's nicely made of fired reddish/tan clay(terracotta) and in very good condition. It's a nice example of a CHUPICUARO"Pretty Lady" Style figure head. It's from the Joe Magor, Chicago, IL, collection, collected in the 1960's. Hi. I have an awesome Mayan poison pot for auction. This cool artifact has a frog image on it. The Mayans and other cultures used these type of containers to hold poison from poisonous frogs.
